Ikaros Chalkidas signed Ryan Richards

Ikaros Chalkidas signed Ryan Richards. The 22 years old forward from England was San Antonio Spurs draft pick in 2010. Richards had previously played for Gran Canaria in Spain, Lugano Tigers and Asseco Prokom Gdynia. In 2013 Richards has signed with Zepter Vienna then Al Nasr Dubai and now with Ikaros Chalkidas.

Olympiacos signed Vasilis Kavvadas

Olympiacos signed Vasilis Kavvadas from Panionios. The 22 years old Greek player signed a 5 years contract with the Euroleague champions. Kavvadas played 6 games with Panionios in this season, with 2.3 points average in 10 minutes per game. This is a future investment for Olympiacos.

Olympiacos defeated Galatasaray for Euroleague

Olympiacos hosted and defeated Galatasaray for Euroleague. After first game when Olympiacos won in Abdi İpekçi Arena, the Euroleague champions defeated Galatasaray for second time. Before the game four players of Olympiacos had a doping control. Galatasaray had very bad accuracy in two and three pointers, only 32% in field goals and 14% in three pointers, no luck with such poor shots. Olympiacos finished the game with only 4 attempted free throws but 20 assists and 40 rebounds. Highlight of the match, but a negative one, the fight between Mirza Begić and Mensa Bonsu one minute before the end. This was the 17th consecutive win for Olympiacos in this season, a new record for the Greek team.

Ikaros Chalkidas signed Ante Mašić. The 28 years old Bosnian small forward was playing for KK Zagreb in the last season. Mašić had previously played for Cedevita Zagreb, Zlatorog Laško and Zrinjski HT.

PAOK defeated Alba Fehervar for Eurocup

 PAOK Thessaloniki hosted and defeated Alba Fehervar for Eurocup. PAOK defeated Alba Fehervar by one point in Hungary. First quarter was almost equal like the game in Hungary. PAOK finished the first half with 11 points difference but in the third quarter Alba Fehervar lowered it to 7 points. The fourth quarter was another tough last quarter for PAOK, with the Hungarian team approaching to 3 points one minute before the end, 65-62, and to two points 66-64 in the last seconds. PAOK took another last minute victory in a game that was controlling. DJ Cooper and Kostas Charalampidis were successful in free throws. PAOK seems tired from consecutive games and long trips but manages to win the games even by couple points in the end.

Panionios hosted and defeated Spartak St. Petersburg for Eurocup. Panionios won the first game with one point but the second game was easier for the Greek team. Panionios took the lead from the first quarter but in the third quarter Spartak counter attacked and equalized the score. In the last quarter Panionios managed to win Spartak St. Petersburg for second time. Saloustros finished the game with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Errick McCollum scored 24 points. Steven Burtt scored 26 points while Donald McGrath and Jared Homan scored each 16 points. For Spartak St. Petersbourg only 5 players scored in the game.

Dopping control for 4 Olympiacos players

ESKAN, the Greek anti-doping authority, took sample from four Olympiacos' players before the game against Galatasaray for Euroleague.  The four players are Kostas Sloukas, Vangelis Mantzaris, Stratos Perperoglou and Mirza Begić.

Kolossos Rodou signed Dimitris Priftis

Kolossos Rodou dismissed its coach Vasilis Fragias and one week after found its new coach. Dimitris Priftis is the new coach of Kolossos Rodou. Priftis, who is 45 years old, has worked as an assistant coach for Fotis Katsikaris, David Blatt, Dirk Bowerman and Panagiotis Giannakis. Priftis worked as the main coach of Kavala and Ikaros Kallitheas.

Errick McCollum of Panionios named MVP of Greek Basketball League seventh day. McCollum scored 29 points, collected 5 rebounds and served 2 assists against Ilisiakos. His performance gave him 36 points in the ranking system, highest ranking of the seventh day. Errick McCollum is leading Panionios in almost every game.

Olympiacos defeated Apollon Patras for Greek League seventh day

Olympiacos hosted and defeated Apollon Patras for Greek League seventh day. Apollon Patras was close in score for the first half. Olympiacos was building the difference steadily and with very high accuracy in three pointers and field goals didn't face problems to win. Olympiacos finished the game with 10/15 three pointers while Apollon Patras had only 3/20. Vasilis Spanoulis had 10 assists and 7 points. Lenny Daniel made a double double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. For Apollon Patras five players finished the game without scoring.

Nea Kifisia collected 50 and Ikaros Chalkidas 42 rebounds, a very high number for both teams. Nikos Barlos made his first double double for the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Rethymno Aegean defeated Panelefsiniakos for Greek League seventh day. Rethymno had a good first quarter when it created a difference of 11 points. Panelefsiniakos just lowered the difference of 23 points of the half time. Rethymno Aegean had 46% in three pointers, 12/26, while Panelefsiniakos only 27%, 6/22. This was a victory after two defeats in a row for Rethymno Aegean. Nikou finished the game with 10 assists but just one point. Mouhammad Faye made a double double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Kenny Gabriel missed another double double with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Justin Hurtt with 24 points was the leader of Rethymno.

Panionios hosted and defeated Ilisiakos for Greek League seventh day. Ilisiakos started better and took the lead. First quarter finished with Ilisiakos ahead by 5, 18-23, same in the second quarter, 32-37. Ilisiakos was keeping the victory for 33 minutes but then Panionios counter attacked and won the game in the end. Ilisiakos scored only 8 points in the last quarter and gave Panionios a difficult victory. McCollum was once again the leader of Panionios with 29 points and 33 in the ranking system. DJ Stephens scored 15 points and collected 8 rebounds.

Kolossos Rodou defeated KAOD for Greek League seventh day. This was the first game for Kolossos Rodou after dismissing the coach Fragias and also the first away victory for the team. KAOD was leading the score by two points in the first quarter and five points in the second and third quarter. Kolossos Rodou made a counter attack in the last minute and took the victory with 76-79.

Aries Trikala defeated PAOK for Greek League seventh day

Aries Trikala hosted and defeated PAOK for Greek League seventh day. This was a great victory for Aries Trikala who have won the leading team of the Greek League table. Patrick Ewing Junior scored four points in the first minutes and Aries Trikala made a 6-0 run. First quarter finished with Aries Trikala ahead by 7, 18-11. PAOK didn't balance the game in the second quarter and the first half finished with the two teams having an eleven points difference. Third quarter is the most productive quarter for PAOK in this season but at this game it was destructive. PAOK finished the third quarter 21 points behind Aries Trikala. PAOK players were tired due to many travels for Eurocup and the two extra time in their previous game in Greece. The final score was a big surprise for the Greek League. Aries Trikala dominated the rebounds with 44 collected while making only 7 turnovers. Two players of Aries Trikala finished the game with a double double, Chris Evans with 11 points and 12 rebounds and Patrick Ewing Junior with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Patrick Ewing Junior was rated 33 in the ranking system, a score which can lead to the MVP of the day. Ewing had 22 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and zero turnovers!

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated Lietuvos Rytas for Euroleague. This was the first home game in Athens, Greece for Panathinaikos, after playing the first two games in Heraklion and Nicosia. Lietuvos Rytas had defeated Panathinaikos in the first round and played well but couldn't win second time. Jonas Mačiulis was great again against the team from Lithuania. James Gist was the leader of Panathinaikos with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. For Lietuvos Jelovac scored 19 points and Gecevicius 17 points while Cook, Glyniadakis and Songaila didn't contribute much to the game.

Radnicki Kragujevac defeated Panionios for Eurocup

Radnicki Kragujevac hosted and defeated Panionios for Eurocup. In the first game Panionios won in its home Radnicki Kragujevac with 5 points but at away game lost by 7, so in case of a tie in points Panionios will have a disadvantage. Mouphtaou Yarou made a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Yarou had a double double in the first game too. Errick McColum scored 27 points, one point more than the first game but this time weren't enough.

Buducnost lost from PAOK for Eurocup

Budućnost Voli Podgorica hosted PAOK for Eurocup. In the first game PAOK defeated Budućnost Voli with a three pointer buzzer beater by DJ Cooper. PAOK has 200 fans to support the team.
 PAOK started better the game and took the lead from the first quarter. The game was interrupted in the 11th minute because home fans threw fireworks at PAOK's bench. This interruption helped Budućnost to balance the game and the half time finished almost equal. The third quarter was crucial when PAOK created again a difference of 10 points, that kept until the end. In the last minute Budućnost approached PAOK to four points but DJ Cooper scored another crucial three pointer and Charalampidis didn't miss the free throws, so PAOK won the game. Jeleel Akindele had 10 rebounds but only 8 points. Giorgos Bogris scored 17 points and Kostas Charalampidis 21 points. This was the fourth victory for PAOK for the Eurocup.

Hellenic Basketball Federation announced the coaches of the U15, U16, U17, U18, and U20 Greek National teams for forthcoming tournaments and competitions.
Greek U15 National team coach: Giorgos Limniatis (Friendship tournament)
Greek U16 National team coach: Manos Manouselis (European Championship, 20-30/8 Latvia)

Kolossos Rodou dismissed Vasilis Fragias

Kolossos Rodou defeated Aries Trikala and made its first victory but this wasn't enough for the team. The board dismissed the coach of the team Vasilis Fragias and the team is now searching for the new coach. This was the first fired coach of this season, which is common in Greek League when teams have problems.

Ivan Aska named MVP of Greek Basketball League sixth day

Ivan Aska was named MVP of the sixth day of the Greek Basketball League. Aska against KAOD scored 27 points, with 12/14 two pointers, 6 rebounds and total ranking 35. This is the second time after six games that a player from Ikaros Chalkidas is named MVP, after Dominique Sutton.

Aris defeated Apollon Patras

Apollon Patras hosted Aris BC in its home where the team from Patras had only victories. Aris had a good first quarter and took the lead by 6, 18-24. With Bochoridis and Athinaiou Aris broadened its difference in the first half which finished with 33-42. Third quarter it was the time for Alexander Vezenkov to score and keep his team ahead. In the last quarter Paul Hill Jr and Demarius Bolds tried and lowered the difference to two points but Aris Asimakopoulos scored in the last minutes and since both Athinaiou and Bolds missed the last shots, Aris won by two points, 76-78. This was the first defeat for Apollon Patras in a home game. Apollon Patras had 21/29 free throws but only 17/42 two pointers. Aris made 25 turnovers but managed to win the game. Paul Hill Junior was the best scorer of Apollon Patras, who usually was Demarius Bolds.

Olympiacos defeated Rethymno Aegean for the sixth day of Greek Basketball League. Olympiacos continued being the only undefeated team in the League. Olympiacos started the game with a 2-13 run and the first quarter finished 12-23. In the half time the difference was at 18 points, 33-51. The difference grew more in the third quarter and Olympiacos won easily reaching 100 points. Derek Wright finished the game with 10 points and 8 assists, Kenny Gabriel with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Vasilis Spanoulis had 9 assists, Matt Lojeski 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. For Olympiacos all players scored at least 2 points. For Rethmyno only Kanonidis and the captain Kallinikidis didn't score. Brent Petway scored 13 points against his previous team.

Panathinaikos defeated Panionios for Greek League sixth day

Panathinaikos hosted Panionios for the sixth day of Greek Basketball League. Gaios Skordilis played against his previous team just few days after his dismiss. Nikos Pappas and Vlantimir Giankovits played against their previous team, where they were become famous players. First quarter was very productive with Panathinaikos scoring two pointers and Panionios three pointers. Stephane Lasme had couple impressive dunks but Panionios was still close in score. Diamantidis finished the first half without scoring points and Panathinaikos without successful three pointers, 0/6. Lasme and Gist already had 10 points each in the first half. Saloustros with 7 rebounds in the first half was going for a double double. Third quarter started for Panathinaikos with Bramos scoring a three pointer and Diamantidis scoring his first points. On 23rd minute Stephane Lasme slipped and had an injury. Panathinaikos had a 17-3 run and the score from 47-43 became 64-46. The last minutes of the third quarter were the turning point of the game.All players of Panathinaikos scored, except Shang Ping who didn't score but had a great assist to Mavrokefalidis. Dimitris Diamantidis finished the game with 9 assists and 5 points. Saloustros for Panionios had 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

PAOK defeated Panelefsiniakos for Greek Basketball League sixth day and remained in the top of the league table. Panelefsiniakos started the game with a 2-10 run and managed to finish first quarter ahead by three, 18-21. Second quarter was very poor with the two teams scoring 9 points each. PAOK improved in the third quarter and took the lead. Panelefsiniakos counter attacked in the last quarter and the game finished with the two teams having equal score, 63-63. Mouhammad Faye scored only one of the two free throws in the end of the fourth quarter and Panelefsiniakos didn't win the game. Ikaros Chalkidas defeated KAOD with 89-73. First quarter finished with the two teams switching in score lead. Ikaros Chalkidas started second quarter with an 6-0 run and created a difference of six points in the end of the first half. The team from Drama couldn't follow Chalkida in score and the difference was growing every quarter. Ikaros Chalkidas had 10/22 three pointers and 22 assists, while KAOD finished the game with just 8 assists and 5 three pointers. Ilisiakos defeated Nea Kifisia

Ilisiakos hosted Nea Kifisia in a game where the winner would leave the loser last in the table. The veteran Nikos Barlos helped his team took the lead in the first quarter, where Nea Kifisia was ahead with 18-26. DJ Stephens and Petrodimopoulos scored in the second quarter and the first half finished with the two teams close in score, 37-39. Third quarter was competitive as well and the score remained balanced. Ilisiakos with Kevin Anderson scoring better in the last quarter, turned the game upside down and finally won it by 6 points, 71-65. Great come back for Ilisiakos in a crucial home game. Tony Crocker and Tony Woods both finished the game with a double double, 11 points and 10 rebounds for Crocker, 14 points and 11 rebounds for Woods.

Kolossos Rodou defeated Aries Trikala for Greek Basketball League sixth day. Nestoras Kommatos debuted for Kolossos Rodou after he was dismissed from Aries Trikala. Kolossos Rodou smashed Trikala in the first quarter, taking a lead of 18 points. Aries Trikala managed to balance the game in the second and third quarter, but the difference remained above 10 points. Four minutes before the end Aries Trikala managed to equalize the game, 67-67, with a goal-foul from Granger. In the next attack Chris Evans scored a three pointer and his team was ahead by 3 points for the first time, 67-70. Christoforos Stefanidis scored for Kolossos Rodou and his team won the game by four points, 76-72. Kolossos Rodou made its first victory in the league.

Olympiacos defeated Zielona Góra for Euroleague

Olympiacos hosted and defeated Zielona Góra for Euroleague fifth day. Zielona Góra started the game better than Olympiacos and the first quarter finished with the visitor team ahead with double score, 11-22. Olympiacos improved in the second and the first half ended with the team from Poland ahead by 9, 33-42. Aaron Cel and Vladimir Dragičević had 10 points each in the first half. Olympiacos had many missed three pointers in the first half, 2/13 but its two pointers were keeping the team in the game, 11/15. Zielona Góra was ahead by 8 in the end of the third quarter and was ahead in the fourth until the end. In the final minutes Olympiacos approached and lowered the score to 2-3 points. In the final attack Vangelis Mantzaris scored a buzzer beater three pointer and Olympiacos continued its winning streak. This was the first successful field shot for Mantzaris in the game. Vladimir Dragičević finished the game with a double double, with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Maccabi Electra defeated Panathinaikos for Euroleague

Maccabi Electra hosted and defeated Panathinaikos in Tel Aviv and Nokia Arena for Euroleague. Sofoklis Schortsianitis played against his last team. Panathinaikos was following the score in the first minutes, when the score was 10-10. Maccabi Electra made a run and the first quarter finished with 25-12. Second quarter was better of Panathinaikos and the Greek team lowered the difference. Maccabi was scoring from free throws in the first half, while Panathinaikos didn't gain fouls. In 33rd minute Panathinaikos lowered the difference to six points and the game was still on. But Maccabi's high accuracy didn't let Panathinaikos any chances, the difference went back to 11 points and ended 75-68.

Panionios hosted and defeated Bisons Loimaa for Eurocup fifth day. The team from Finland debuted this year in the Eurocup. Both teams had 2 victories and 2 defeated in the first games. The team from Finland started the game with an offensive attack and finished first quarter ahead by five points. Panionios replied with a massive second quarter. The team from Athens created a difference of 6-8 points which kept until the end. Keving Langford was the first scorer for Panionios and Landon Milbourne was helpful in scoring and rebounds. Mikko Koivosto played 30 minutes and scored 10 points. Billy Keys played 31 minutes without scoring, since he had 0/5 shots and 5 turnovers.

Aegean Rethymno signed Derek Wright, released Gabe Pruitt

Rethymno Aegean released Gabe Pruitt, after fifth day of Greek Basketball League. Rethymno announced Derek Wright who will replace Pruitt. Wright graduated from Austin Peay college and played with Governors Austin Peay in OVC (Ohio Valley Conference). Then Wright moved to Czech Republic where he played for BK Pardubice, Chomutov, NH Ostrava. Romania and U. Mobitel followed and finally Lions de Genève in Switzerland. Wright is 179cm high and 27 years old.

Aries Trikala officially released Nestoras Kommatos. Trikala signed Kommatos this summer in order to help with his experience but didn't meet the needs of the team.

Patrick Ewing Jr named MVP of fifth day

 Patrick Ewing Jr named MVP of the fifth day. Ewing scored made a double double against Ikaros Chalkidas with 17 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist. His performance was ranked with 32 in the HBF ranking system so he was named MVP of the fifth day. Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association official site hosts an article for Ewing with title "Like father, like son!" mentioning of course his father Patrick Ewing. Patrick Jr plays 20 minutes on average in the first five games and with 9.8 points, 8.2 rebounds per game. Panelefsiniakos defeated Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basketball League fifth day. Kolossos Rodou started the game with an 8-0 run and was leading the score in the first and second quarter. Panelefsiniakos had a great third quarter with partial score 29-12 and took the lead till the end of the game. In fourth quarter Panelefsiniakos not only won the game but broadened the difference to 18 points. Kolossos Rodou had 3/14 three pointers and 22 turnovers. KAOD defeated Ilisiakos Greek League fifth day

KAOD hosted and defeated Ilisiakos for the fifth day of the Greek Basketball League. KAOD started the game better than Ilisiakos and was leading the score for three quarters. Ilisiakos was approaching and lowering the distance and managed to equalize and took the lead in the fourth quarter. KAOD was calm in the last two minutes and with Edin Bavčić scoring took the victory in the end. DJ Stephens had a great game but missed the last three pointer. Julian Vaughn (11 points, 10 rebounds) for KAOD and DJ Stephens (16 points, 11 rebounds) for Ilisiakos finished the game with a double double.

Aries Trikala hosted and defeated Ikaros Chalkidas for the fifth day of the Greek Basketball League. Aries Trikala had 4 defeats in the league and Ikaros Chalkidas with one victory were one point ahead. Ikaros Chalkidas won and eliminated Aries Trikala for the Greek Cup second round by 4 points. Patrick Ewing Jr and Khalid Mutakabbir (3/3 three pointers in first quarter) started the game with a 19-2 run for Aries Trikala. Dominique Sutton started to scored but the first quarter finished with 29-16 for Aries Trikala in their best quarter till now in the league. Second quarter was better for Ikaros Chalkidas that finished the half time behind by 8 points, 43-35. Evans, Petrovic and Mutakabbir were scoring three pointers with Aries Trikala having 12/27 in total. Dominique Sutton, who made a double double early in the fourth quarter, was trying with Gagaloudis and Aska but weren't enough. This was the first victory for Aries Trikala in this season and the team reached Ikaros Chalkidas in the table. Aries Trikala scored 100 points. Patrick Ewing made his second double double, 17 points and 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and zero turnovers! Chris Evans scored 25 points, Mutakabbir 18 points and Petrovic 16. For Ikaros Chalkidas the veteran Gagaloudis scored 20 points and Dominique Sutton made another double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Apollon Patras hosted and defeated Rethymno Aegean for Greek Basketball League fifth day. The two teams have played two league games before and Rethymno Aegean had won both of them. Apollon Patras hosted and defeated Rethymno Aegean for the Patras cup friendly tournament. Demarius Bolds, first scorer till now in the league, started the game for Apollon Patras with a 10-2 run. Fanis Koumpouras and his teammates replied and Rethymno Aegean finished first quarter ahead by 8, 16-24. Apollon Patras was terrible at three pointers with 1/16 in first quarter, Petrović had 0/4. Gabe Pruitt and Justin Hurtt were scoring and Kenny Gabriel collecting the rebounds for Rethymno Aegean, as usual. Apollon Patras had a solid third quarter and managed to equalize and get the lead by one, but the quarter ended with 54-55. In the last quarter Lianos and Petrovic scored and their team got 8 points difference 3 minutes before the end, 72-64. One minute before the end Demarius Bolds broadened the difference to 11 points, 76-65. Apollon Patras made only 7 turnovers in the whole game which balanced the 5/27 three pointers. Rethymno Aegean was ahead for 30 minutes but couldn't handle Apollon's counter attack in the last five minutes. Bolds, Argyropoulos and Petrovic scored 54 points in total. Kenny Gabriel missed another double double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Gabe Pruitt had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 10 fouls drawn. This was the first time Apollon Patras wins Rethymno Aegean for the league.

Montepaschi Siena hosted Olympiacos for Euroleague fourth day. Siena had 3 defeats in the first 3 games and ran an eight -game losing streak from the end of last season, while Olympiacos started with 3 victories. The game took place at Nelson Mandela Forum in Firenze. Olympiacos started with Spanoulis, Law, Lojeski, Printezis and Begić. Euroleague winners had a 11-0 run with 5/5 shots. Siena scored after 3:30 minutes. Cedric Simmons got injured, dislocated shoulde, and missed the rest of the game. Siena was struggling to follow Olympiacos in score and the first half finished with 13 points difference. In the last minutes Brent Petway made an unsportsmanlike foul that helped Siena lower the difference to 5 points, but Olympiacos scored the final three pointer and the game ended 62-70. Fourth victory in a row for Olympiacos, fourth defeat in a row for Siena. For Olympiacos no player scored more than 9 points but all players scored, except Simmons who was injured.

Dimitris Diamantidis played his 200th game in Euroleague, becoming the 13th player to achieve it. Aleks Marić played against his former players Diamantidis, Batiste and Fotsis.Lokomotiv Kuban started the game better than Panathinaikos and had the lead for the whole game. Dimitris Diamantidis equalized with a three pointer in the last minute to 69-69 but Simon replied with a three pointer 0.3 seconds before the end and hist team stole the victory. For Lokomotiv Kuban Derrick Brown had 13 points and 8 rebounds while Richard Hendrix had 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Michalis Tsairelis of PAOK was named MVP of the fourth day of Greek Basketball League. Tsairelis had 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 6 gained fouls and 3 turnovers in 34 minutes against Apollon Patras.

Justin Hurtt on ESAKE

Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association hosted on its main site an article about Justin Hurtt. The title of the article is "Mr. Hurtt's painting exhibition" since Hurtt loves painting in and out of basketball courts. The American shares with PAOK's Costas Charalambidis the second place of scoring in Greek Basketball League, average 17.7 points per game. He is first in three pointers, 11 scored out of 20 attempted, and fifth in fouls gained. Thanasis Giaples said that Rethymno Aegean was watching Hurtt for more than a year but managed to sign him this season. Giaples mentions the reliable shot and one-to-one skills of Hurtt but what really defers him is his low profile and humble character, which as the coach says is rare for an American player. The article make special refer at this dunk against Oklahoma for the NCAA.
He wasn't selected in NBA Drafts so he moved to Italy for Pallacanestro Varese, then in Belgium for Mons-Hainaut before he returned to USA and NBA Development League for Iowa Energy. Hurtt admires Lebron  James and Kansas City Chiefs. His dream is to become a cover of the basketball magazine "Slam". In his free time Hurtt paints and sketches and his favorite lesson in school was children literature.

Panathinaikos defeated KAOD for Greek Basketball League fourth day

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated KAOD for the fourth day of the Greek Basketball League. Panathinaikos and KAOD had played 6 games and Panathinaikos have won all of them. KAOD had only 10 players available for the game and the newly added J'Covan Brown. Ramel Curry didn't play due to flu and Giorgos Apostolidis participated in his first official game with Panathinaikos. Panathinaikos started the game with 5/6 three pointers, 10 assists and 0 turnovers in the first quarter which finished with 35-20. In the second quarter Diamantidis made his 5th assist and he became the first player in Greek Basketball League history with 1700 assists. KAOD played offensive and open and reached 39 points in the half time. Shang Ping entered the game in the last quarter in his second game for the Greek Basketball League. All players from both teams played in the game and all except Ping and Kolovis scored. Bavčić collected 11 rebounds but scored only 5 points and Diamantidis gave 8 assists and scored only 3 points.

KAOD signed J'Covan Brown to replace Christian Polk

KAOD signed J'Covan Brown to replace Christian Polk. Christian Polk didn't satisfy the coach and J'Covan Brown was signed by KAOD in order to help the team. J'Covan Brown played six games in the previous season with Rethymno Aegean.

Olympiacos defeated Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basketball League fourth day

Olympiacos defeated Kolossos Rodou in Rodos and remained undefeated in the Greek Basketball League. This was the 19th victory of Olympiacos in 19 games against Kolossos Rodou. Kolossos Rodou started the game good and in the first 8 minutes was ahead in score 22-21. Then Olympiacos made an 18-0 run and the game didn't change till the end. Trevis Simpson scored 16 points and collected 6 rebounds. Bambale Osby scored 19 points and collected 5 rebounds. For Olympiacos only Katsivelis didn't score but 5 players scored more than 10 points, Petwas, Dunston, Spanoulis, Perperoglou and Lojeski.

PAOK defeated Apollon Patras for Greek Basketball League fourth day

PAOK defeated Apollon Patras for the fourth day of the Greek Basketball League. This was the fourth victory in a row for PAOK who remained alone in the top of the League Table without defeat. PAOK started the game with an 8-2 run but the first quarter finished with 14-12. Apollon Patras was following PAOK until the end with less than 8 points difference and took the lead in 35th minute. Petrović with two three pointers gave his team the lead twice in the fourth quarter but Tsairelis, Tsochlas and Charalampidis scored in the end and gave their team another victory. Tsairelis scored 19 points, Payne 17 points and Bogris didn't make another double double since he collected 10 rebounds but scored 8 points. Demarius Bolds scored 27 points, collected 7 rebounds and won 9 fouls.

Rethymno Aegean defeated Aris for Greek Basketball League fourth day

Rethymno Aegean hosted and defeated Aris BC for the fourth day of Greek Basketball League. The two teams were close in score in the first half. Rethymno Aegean managed to finish first half with a 3 points lead and started better the second half where with Justin Hurtt made a 10 points difference. The third quarter finished with Aris 9 points behind and this was the crucial point since the team from Thessaloniki couldn't lower the difference less than 5 points in the last minutes and lost the game. Rethmyno's captain Avraam Kallinikidis scored a crucial three pointer which secured the victory for his team. Aris made 17 turnovers which was a drawback for the team. Justin Hurtt scored 23 points and Kenny Gabriel didn't make his fourth double double in a row but he scored 11 points and collected 9 rebounds. For Aris Athinaiou scored 17 points, Pelekanos and Asimakopoulos 12 points each.

Ikaros Chalkidas lost by Panelefsiniakos for fourth day of Greek Basketball League

Panelefsiniakos double its victories by winning Ikaros in Chalkida. Larry Turner with 7/7 shots, 3/3 free throws and 5 blocks was the leader for his team. For Panelefsiniakos Nikou, Papamakarios, Fayer and Turner scored more than 10 points. For Ikaros Chalkidas Strnad, Govens, Aska and Beck scored more than 10 points but they weren't enough for the win. The second quarter was the key for Panelefsiniakos when with a 11-21 side score finished the first half with 13 points difference. In the second half Ikaros Chalkidas played better after Panelefsiniakos loosened its defense at 52-70. Ivan Aska finished the game with a double double, 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Ilisiakos defeated Aries Trikala for fourth day of Greek Basketball League

Ilisiakos hosted and won Aries Trikala for the fourth day of Greek Basketball League. This was the first victory of Ilisiakos for this season. Aries Trikala had a good first quarter with Patrick Ewing Jr scoring 4 points in a row. DJ Stephens made three blocks in the first quarter and Smith scored but Aries Trikala finished the first quarter with the lead. Ilisiakos made a 17-2 run in the second quarter and finished the first half with a 12 points difference. Third quarter was time for Aries Trikala counter attack and the difference lowered to 6 points. Ilisiakos managed to keep the difference in the last quarter and won its first game. DJ Stephens finished the game with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. For Aries Trikala Patrick Ewing Jr had his first double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Panionios defeated Nea Kifisia fourth day Greek basketball League

Panionios hosted Nea Kifisia for the fourth day of the Greek basketball League. The new signings of both teams debuted and scored, Kyritsis for Panionios and Adegboye for Nea Kifisia. The first half ended with very low score, 29-18, 47 points in total for both teams. Nea Kifisia had 0/6 three pointers and 8 turnovers so the 11 points difference was normal. Second half didn't change much except Panionios tight defense. Nea Kifisia scored only 7 points in the last quarter. The 39 points that Nea Kifisia scored is the fourth lowest allowance in the Greek Basketball League. With 2/14 three pointers and 20 turnovers in total the score couldn't be higher. No player scored more than 9 points in the game but for Panionios 11 players scored. Ogo Adegboye was the first scorer of his team in his first game in Greek Basketball League.

Panathinaikos defeated Crvena Zvezda for Euroleague third day

Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) hosted Panathinaikos in Hala Pionir, Belgrade for the third day of Euroleague. The captain of Panathinaikos Dimitris Diamantidis played his 199th game in Euroleague. Mike Batiste started the game with 8 points and 4/4 shots in a row. Red Star took the lead with 16-13 after a three pointer from Jenkins and a dunk from Blažič. Curry made a foul in the half court 1 second before the end and Schild scored 3 throws, so first quarter finished with 26-22. First quarter finished with Batiste and Jenkins having 8 points each. Second quarter started with Red Start broadening the difference to 6, 28-22 but Diamantidis replied with a three pointer. Red Star was leading the score but had problems with fouls, Lazić and Katić already had 3 fouls in the second quarter. Panathinaikos had defensive problems and Diamantidis many missed three pointers. Red Start finished first half leading by 15, 48-33. Nikos Pappas did a great job in the third quarter. In the second half Panathinaikos made a 12-0 run and lowered the difference to 3 points. Red Star didn't score for 5 minutes in the third quarter. After these 5 minutes Red Star scored and the difference returned back to 8 points. Diamantidis and Curry were not good in offense. Fourth quarter started with Red Star leading by 14, 62-48, and Panathinaikos not having ways to score. Nikos Pappas was playing alone and with his goal-foul Panathinaikos took the lead after first quarter with 67-69. Diamantidis didn't score in the last offense and the game went to extra time. Gist for Panathinaikos and Radenović, Katić for Red Star were fouled out in normal time. Panathinaikos started extra time with two three pointers from Mačiulis and Bramos. Stephane Lasme was then fouled out. The game went point to point till the end but Panathinaikos kept the difference. Mačiulis lost a shot but took the rebound and scored a crucial two pointer. Mitrović lost two free throws and Panathinaikos won by 4, 86-90.

Nea Kifisia signed Ogo Adegboye

Nea Kifisia signed Ogo (Ogooluwa) Adegboye. The British basketball player of Nigerian origin was member of the Great Britain national basketball team in Eurobasket of 2011 and 2013. Adegboye was playing in Cyprus for APOEL BC from 2011 after two years in Colorado for Lamar Community College.

Panionios signed Skordilis and Kyritsis

Panionios announced two new signings. Gaios Skordilis who was dismissed from Panathinaikos and Alexis Kyritsis. Alexis Kyritsis played last season for Ikaros Kallitheas (now Ikaros Chalkidas) and has previously played for PAOK, Aris, AEK, Ilisiakos, Kavala and Marousi.
