Olympiacos swept Panionios and qualified to the League Finals

Olympiacos swept Panionios and qualified to the Basket League Greece Finals. Panionios played much better than in the first two games. Panionios was leading the score in the second and third quarters and the game finished with equal score in normal time, 79-79. in the extra time Vasilis Spanoulis scored a buzzer beater three pointer and Olympiacos won the game, swept Panionios and qualified for the Basket League Greece Finals. Vasilis Spanoulis was the leader of Olympiacos in score, rebounds and assits with 22, 5 and 5 respectively. Errick McCollum was once more the top scorer of  Panionios with 25 points and Kevin Langford helped with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 10 fouls drawn.

Panathinaikos swept PAOK and qualified to the League Finals

Panathinaikos swept PAOK and qualified to the Basket League Greece Finals. PAOK was competitive but not as good as in the first two games that took place in Athens and Panathinaikos qualified to the finals with a sweep. Michalis Tsairelis finished the game with a double double, 11 points and 10 rebounds. DJ Cooper had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. For Panathinaikos Ramel Curry and Dimitris Diamantidis finished the game with 17 points each. Roko Leni Ukic had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Panathinaikos beat PAOK for Greek League Play Offs semi-finals

Panathinaikos hosted and beat PAOK for Greek League Play Offs semi-finals. PAOK started as good as in the first game and was leading the score in the first half. In the 15th minute PAOK had a lead of 12 points, 20-32. In the first half Panathinaikos had only 1/13 three pointers and was following PAOK. In the third quarter Panathinaikos counter attacked and took the lead in score until the end of the game. In the second half Panathinaikos had 7/13 three pointers. For Panathinaikos James Gist had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals while Dimitris Diamantidis had 17 points, 4 assists and Roko Leni Ukić had 15 points and 5 assists. For PAOK DJ Cooper made a double double with 16 points, 12 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds! Kostas Charalampidis scored 17 points and  Mark Payne scored another 15 points. Panathinaikos made two tights victories against PAOK and now the third game will be held in Thessaloniki. If PAOK keeps playing in this tempo and speed we maybe see a defeat for Panathinaikos in the semi-finals after many years of clean sweeps.

Olympiacos hosted and beat Panionios for Greek Basket League Play Offs semi-finals. Olympiacos didn't face problems against Panionios since the visitors were very poor in three pointers with 4/19. For Olympiacos Mardy Collins scored 16 points, Giorgos Printezis collected 7 rebounds and Vasilis Spanoulis served 6 assists. For Panionios Errick McCollum with 14 points and Kevin Langford with 10 points were the only positive players. Olympiacos made 1-0 in the semi-finals without struggling and Panionios will have to improve in order to be competitive in the Play Offs.

LaRon Dendy blocked Kolossos Rodou transfers

LaRon Dendy played for Kolossos Rodou in the 2012-2013 season but the club still owes money to the player. The FIBA Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT) decided to set a ban on international transfers of players for Kolossos Rodou until the club pays the player. Dendy will get $24.900 that Kolossos Rodou owes him plus €7.100 for lawyer and court expenses.

Panathinaikos beat PAOK for Greek League Play Offs semi-finals

Panathinaikos hosted and beat PAOK for Greek Basket League Play Offs semi-finals. PAOK entered the game in full speed and tried to surprise Panathinaikos and steal the victory. In the first quarter PAOK scored 32 points and for three quarters the visitors were leading the score. Panathinaikos fight in order to win the game and made 1-0 in the semi-finals series. Tight victory but a victory for Panathinaikos that will probably reverse the psychology in the second game since PAOK did its best but lost the game. Loukas Mavrokefalidis was by far the best player of the game. Mavrokefalidis scored 32 points with 11 fouls drawn, collected 10 rebounds, made one block and no turnovers. This was the first time a player of Panathinaikos scored more than 30 points in a Greek Basket League game with Jaka Lakovič being the last to did so ten years ago. Besides Mavrokefalidis, the captain Dimitris Diamantidis had 17 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. For PAOK Giorgos Bogris, DJ Cooper, Michalis Tsairelis, Kostas Charalampidis and Mark Payne scored more than 13 points each with Bogris also having 9 rebounds and 4 assists and DJ Cooper having 5 rebounds and 5 assists too.

Michalis Kamperidis and Lefteris Bochoridis declared for NBA Draft 2014.

PAOK beat and eliminated Nea Kifisia for Greek League Play Offs round one. PAOK was leading the score in the first half but Nea Kifisia counter attacked in the second quarter and lowered the difference to 3 points, 72-75, but PAOK managed to win a very tight game. Kostas Charalampidis with 23 points, Michalis Tsairelis with 17 points and 9 rebounds were the best players for PAOK. For Nea Kifisia Nikos Liakopoulos with 13 points, 5 assists and Dimitris Tsaldaris with 14 points were the top scorers while the veteran Michalis Kakiouzis had 14 rebounds and 8 points. In the last minutes Saša Vasiljević was charged with a foul and then was charged with a technical foul. Panathinaikos' coach Fragiskos Alvertis used Vlantimir Giankovits and the young Giorgos Diamantakos who both were positive helping their team winning. Panelefsiniakos wanted to win in order to avoid relegation without waiting other results but the team avoided relegation since both Ilisiakos and Ikaros Chalkidas lost. Panelefsiniakos was better in the first and second quarters but the home team had a total black out in the third quarter when it scored only 5 points. For Panelefsiniakos Rob Jons had 11 points. PAOK beat Ikaros Chalkidas for Greek League 26th day

PAOK hosted and beat Ikaros Chalkidas for Greek Basket League 26th day. With this defeat Ikaros Chalkidas was relegated to the second division and PAOK will continue in the play offs. Anthony Roberson had 23 points, Dominique Sutton had 14 points and 19 rebounds, Ivan Aska had 18 points and 5 rebounds but those were not enough for Ikaros Chalkidas to win PAOK and avoid relegation. DJ Cooper with his 9 assists broke the record for more assists of a PAOK player in a single season. Damir Mulaomerovic had 171 assists in 2003-2004 season and DJ Cooper has 172 assists in this season. Mark Payne scored 20 points, Giorgos Bogris had 12 rebounds and Kostas Charalampidis didn't score with 7 shots attempted.

KAOD beat Aries Trikala in Trikala for Greek Basket League 26th day. It was the most productive game in Greek Basket League 2013-2014 with the two teams scoring 211 points without extra time. Both teams shot and scored many points with free throws, 23/30 for Aries Trikala, 27/33 for KAOD. Chris Evans and Nikola Marković had a massive game. Evans had 35 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals while Marković had 21 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists. Patrick Ewing Junior had 26 points and 8 rebounds. Mario Matalon had 13 points and 6 assists while Mike Porrini had 11 assists and 2 points. Lazeric Jones had 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists, Edin Bavčić had 20 points and 5 rebounds. Aries Trikala will continue in the Greek Basket League next season and KAOD will continue in the play offs for the first time in the team history.

Rethymno Aegean beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 26th day

Rethymno Aegean hosted and defeated Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 26th day. Ilisiakos wanted the victory in order to avoid the relegation but with a crucial mistake in the final seconds lost the game and relegated in the second division after five consecutive years in the Greek Basket League. Ilisiakos started the game with a 6-0 run and was leading the score in the first quarter. Rethymno Aegean counter attacked in the second quarter and with a 12-0 run took the lead in score. Rethymno Aegean was keeping the lead in the third and last quarter until the end. Ilisiakos took a small lead and was close to avoid relegation but Courtney Pigram made a crucial turnover and lost the ball. Giannis Kalampokis scored and made the score 63-62. Panathinaikos beat Apollon Patras in Patras for Greek Basket League 26th day. In the first round game Apollon Patras troubled Panathinaikos and so it did in this game in the first half.
