Panathinaikos signed Tyrese Rice


Panathinaikos signed Tyrese Rice. The 32-year-old American-Montenegrin guard penned a one-year contract with the Greens. Rice graduated from Boston College and after going undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft he started his professional career in Greece with Panionios. Rice has also played in Germany for Artland Dragons, Bayern Munich, and most recently Brose Bamberg, in Lithuania for Lietuvos Rytas, in Israel with Maccabi Tel Aviv, in Russia for Khimki, in Spain for Barcelona, and in China for Shenzhen Leopards. Rice has won the 2014 Euroleague with Maccabi and was also named MVP of that Final Four. In the last season, Rice won the Basketball Champions League with Brose Bamberg and was named Champions League MVP averaging 16.4 points, 4.4 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Luca Banchi is the new head coach of AEK

Luca Banchi is the new head coach of AEK. The 53-year-old coach penned an one year contract with the Greek club and will be the first Italian coach in the club's history. Banchi has won two Italian championships, one with Siena in 2013 and one with Armani Milano in 2014. After Milano Banchi coached Auxilium Torino and in the last season he worked with Brose Bamberg where he replaced Andrea Trinchieri.

Olympiacos sign Brian Roberts


Olympiacos sign Brian Lloyd Roberts. The 32 years old American guard penned a two years contract. Roberts graduated from Dayton and went undrafted in the 2008 NBA Draft. Roberts started his professional career in Israel with Hapoel Galil Gilboa. In 2009 he moved to Germany for Brose Baskets. In 2012 Roberts moved back to the US for the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans and in 2014 he signed with Charlotte Hornets. Roberts moved to the Portland Trail Blazers for the second half of the last season before moving back to the Charlotte Hornets.

Olympiacos sign Jānis Strēlnieks

Olympiacos sign Jānis Strēlnieks. The 28 years old Latvian guard penned a two years old contract with Olympiacos. Strēlnieks started his career with Ventspils, where he played four seasons before moving to Russia for Spartak Saint Petersburg. In 2013 he moved for one season to Ukraine, where he won the league with Budivelnik Kiev. In the last three seasons Strēlnieks played in Germany with Brose Bamberg, where he won three consecutive championships.

Bamberg won Nea Kifisia in friendly game

Brose Baskets Bamberg won Nea Kifisia in friendly game that took place in Kifisia. Coach Andrea Trinchieri returned to Greece with a victory. Patrick Ewing Jr made his best game since he signed with AENK with 22 points and Uros Duvnjak had 17 points. For Brose Bamberg Carlon Brown had 15 points but got injured in the last minutes.

Panathinaikos signed Zackary Zack Wright

Panathinaikos signed Zackary "Zack" Wright. The 29 years old American Bosnian was playing in Germany for Brose Bamberg and has started his professional career in Germany with SG Braunschweig. Wright has played in the Greek Basket League in 2011-2012 season for Rethymno Aegean. Wright graduated from University of Central Missouri.

Aris lost from the host team Brose Baskets Bamberg, after losing from Banvit.
Wright and Ford led the score for Bamberg and for Aris Vezenkov was led another game with 22 points,

Lietuvos Rytas defeated Aris BC in Domreiter Cup

Lietuvos Rytas defeated Aris BC in Domreiter Cup with 86-76. For Lietuvos the Greek center Andreas Glyniadakis scored 9 points in first half and helped his team to win Aris. For Aris BC Mihalis Pelekanos scored 20 points, Asimakopoulos 15 points and Vezenkov 14 points.

Aris BC will participate in Domreiter Cup 2013

Aris BC from Thessaloniki will participate in Domreiter Cup 2013.
The friendly tournament will take place in Stechert Arena, third biggest arena in Bavaria, on 20-22 September. Hosting team will be Germany Basketball Champion Brose Baskets Bamberg and the other two teams will be Banvit from Turkey and Lietuvos Rytas from Lithuania. Banvit's new coach is the Greek Dimitris Itoudis so the game between the Turkish and the Greek team will have extra interest.
