Kolossos Rodou Signs Daniel Akin

Kolossos Rodou has announced the addition of Daniel Akin for the 2025-26 season. The 27-year-old British center, standing at 2.06m (6'9"), joins the Greek club after a season in Italy with Scafati, where he averaged 6.5 points and 4.7 rebounds in 25 appearances.
The official statement from KAE Kolossos H Hotels Collection reads: "KAE Kolossos H Hotels Collection announces its agreement with Daniel Akin. Daniel Akin was born on June 16, 1998, in London, and at 2.06m tall, he plays as a center. In 2017, he moved to the USA, where he played NCAA basketball for three colleges: UMBC (2017-21), California Baptist (2021-22), and Utah State (2022-23). In 2023, he began his professional career in France, signing with Strasbourg. Last season, Akin played in Italy for Scafati, where in 25 games, he averaged 6.3 points and 4.7 rebounds, shooting 61.3% from the field."

NCAA Collegiate Career (2017-2023): Akin spent six seasons in U.S. college basketball, developing his game at three different programs:

UMBC (2017-2021): Over four seasons, he steadily improved, culminating in averages of 7.9 points and 6.4 rebounds in his senior year (2020-21).

California Baptist (2021-22): He continued his strong play, averaging 10.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

Utah State (2022-23): Akin had his most productive collegiate season, putting up 11.9 points and 6.9 rebounds with an impressive 67.6% field goal percentage.

Professional Debut in Europe (2023-Present):


SIG Strasbourg (France - LNB Pro A & BCL, 2023-24): Began his professional career in France, averaging 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in the French league and 6.0 points and 3.6 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League.

Scafati Basket (Italy - LBA, 2024-25): Moved to Italy, where he averaged 6.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 25 league games, shooting 61.3% from the field.

International Representation: Akin has also represented Great Britain at various youth levels (U18 England, U20 Great Britain) and with the senior Great Britain national team in EuroBasket Qualifiers.

Promitheas Signs Kendal Coleman

Promitheas Patras B.C. has announced the signing of 22-year-old American forward Kendal Coleman. The promising player has inked his first professional contract, a two-year deal, with the Patras-based club, marking his transition from NCAA basketball.

Kendal Coleman (born in Shreveport), at 2.07m (6'9") tall, primarily plays as a Power Forward. Known for his powerful presence near the basket, Coleman has shown significant improvement in his game over recent years, culminating in an impressive final collegiate season.

Collegiate Career (NCAA)

Coleman began his collegiate career in the 2020-21 season with the Northwestern State Demons, where he spent two years. He then transferred to the LSU Tigers. For the past two seasons, he has been a key player for the California Baptist Lancers.

His most recent season (2024-25) with the California Baptist Lancers was particularly strong, where he averaged 11.1 points and 8.1 rebounds, shooting an efficient 51% from the field and 38% from three-point range.
