Kymi sign Dimitris Stamatis. The 20 years old Greek guard started his career from Evriali Glyfadas and was the top scorer of Athens top tier regional league in 2012-2013 season. Stamatis moved to Panionios in 2013 and after two seasons he moved to Kifisia where he played in the previous season.

The two already relegated teams played good basketball and Panelefsiniakos won in the last second with a shot by Stelios Ioannou. Kolossos Rodou beat Panionios for Basket League first day. Panionios hosted Kolossos Rodou but the team from Nea Smyrni was playing with young players and could not expect to win the game. For Panionios Moraitis, Petropoulos, Billis and Stamatis scored more than 15 points but the whole team earned the respect of their fans for their effort. For Kolossos Rodou Mike James had 26 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds while Zvoko Buljan made a double double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Apollon Patras beat Panionios for Greek Cup. Panionios played with young players and even the team lost the game by 18 points the fans cheered the players for their effort. With the 22 years old Spyros Motsenigos being the most experienced player of Panionios the team managed to lead the score in the first half by 30-29 but in the second half the team of Patras got the expected victory.

Panionios BC signed two players. Guy-Marc Michel, 25 years old French center, who played with KAOD in the previous season having an average of 8.3 points per game. Dimitris Stamatis is a very young and promising player. He was playing for Evriali Glyfadas in A ESKANA, local division of Athens, where he was the leading scorer of the league. Stamatis also played with Greek national team of young men in the previous Eurobasket having an average of 12.4 points per game. A player to watch in the future since Olympiacos was also interested in him.
