Lavrio sign Dimitris Verginis. The 30 years old Greek guard penned an one year contract with Lavrio. Verginis started his professional career with PAOK in 2008. Verginis has played for Panathinaikos, Aris, Panionios, and Apollon Patras in Greece, for Bilbao in Spain and for Lukoil Academic in Bulgaria. In the previous season with Apollon Patras Verginis averaged 7.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

Verginis renews with Apollon

Dimitris Verginis renews with Apollon Patras for two more years. The 29 years old Greek guard joined Apollon in August 2015. Verginis averaged 10.4 points, 2.5 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game with Apollon. Verginis started his career with PAOK and has also played for Panathinaikos, Aris, Bilbao, Lukoil Academic and Panionios.

Apollon Patras signed Dimitris Verginis. The 28 years old Greek guard penned an one year contract with Apollon. In the previous season Verginis played for Panionios averaging 9.4 points and 2.2 assists per game. The player had won a triple crown with Panathinaikos, is the younger captain ever of the Basket League Greece since he was named captain of PAOK in 2007-2008, and has also played for Aris and for Lukoil Academic in Bulgaria.

Olympiacos hosted and beat Panionios for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. Olympiacos first game after qualifying in the Final Four was against the already relegated Panionios. Olympiacos was preparing for the forthcoming game against Panathinaikos and Dimitris Agravanis had the chance to show his talent after declared for the NBA Draft. For Panionios William Coleman had 22 points and 7 rebounds, Sheehey had 12 points, Dimitris Verginis had 9 points. For the winners Lojeski had 18 points with 4/7 three pointers, Dimitris Agravanis had 12 points and 6 rebounds, Kostas Sloukas had 9 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds, Spanoulis had 7 assists, Kavvadas had 12 points with 5/6 field goals.

Aris beat Panionios for Basket League twenty first day

Aris hosted and beat Panionios for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty first day. Panionios had one last chance to avoid relegation but Aris was loose only for one quarter. Aleksandar Vezenkov was once more the leader of Aris with 21 points and 9 rebounds. This time Drew Naymick made a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Muhamed Pašalić had 11 points and 7 assists. Panionios had 11/26 three pointers but also had 12 rebounds less than Aris. Justin Tubbs had 23 points and 5 rebounds, William Coleman had 6 points and 9 rebounds, and Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 9 points and 6 assists. Unfortunately for the Greek Basketball Panionios is only one defeat away from relegation. On the other hand Aris is back on good times and remains third in the league table.

KAOD beat Panionios for Basket League nineteenth day. In a tight game KAOD took an early but small lead. In the half time Dimitris Tsaldaris had 9 points and Rod Odom had 6 rebounds for the visitors. Panionios had 1/9 three pointers in the first half. The home team counter attacked in the third quarter and took the lead by 46-41 but did not manage to preserve it and win the game. For the winners the captain Zaras had 25 points, 10 fouls drawn and 6 rebounds, and the veteran Papamakarios had 17 points. For Panionios Dimitris Verginis and William Coleman had 16 points each, Yaroslav Korolev had 11 points and Vasilis Xanthopoulos served 7 assists. KAOD made 18 turnovers but Panionios, that made 10 turnovers, had 2/19 three pointers.

Panionios hosted Rethymno Aegean for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 seventeenth day. Panionios wanted the victory but Rethymno Aegean had Giannis Kalampokis on fire! Kalampokis scored 28 points (5/9 3p, 7/8 ft), served 5 assists, collected 3 rebounds and had 6 fouls drawn. The game was tight in the first half but in the second Rethymno was keeping a secure difference. In the end Panionios tried but the visitors did not let the home team complete its counter attack. For the winners, besides Kalampokis, Mouhammad Faye made a double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, Roeland Schaftenaar had 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, and Dejan Kravic had 8 points and 7 rebounds. For Panionios Vasilis Xanthopoulos made his second double double with 11 points and 10 assists! William Coleman had 24 points and 5 rebounds, Yaroslav Korolev had 18 points, Dimitris Verginis had 16 points before being fouled out and Mackey McKnight in his debut scored one free throw and had 0/4 field goals. Bad result for Panionios that needs home wins in order to avoid relegation.

In his last game with Trikala Kenny Kadji had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Justin Ingram had 11 points and 5 assists, Slaven Cupkovic had 12 points, Alex Harris had 14 points and Steven Panos had 10 points. For Panionios William Coleman had 16 points and 9 rebounds, Yaroslav Korolev had 14 points and Dimitris Verginis had 15 points. A rare double double for Vasilis Xanthopoulos with 10 points and 11 assists in a flawless game without any turnovers. Aries Trikala won a crucial game and Panionios is now facing relegation with less hope.

Apollon Patras beat Panionios for Basket League twelfth day. After the Greek Cup Apollon Patras made its first road victory against Panionios in Nea Smyrni. For Panionios only William Coleman with 22 points and 14 rebounds, Dimitris Verginis with 17 points and 7 assists and Yaroslav Korolev with 11 points and 9 rebounds were not enough. For the winners Gaios Skordilis made another double double with 13 points and 12 rebounds against his previous team. Muhammad El-Amin and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick scored 13 points each, Giannis Georgalis scored 12 points and Kevin Galloway served 7 assists.

Panelefsiniakos hosted Panionios for Basket League eleventh day. Panionios seem to roll from game to game and against Panelefsiniakos started the game with 31 points in the first quarter. Yaroslav Korolev had 13 points and 5 rebounds in the first half and Vasilis Xanthopoulos 6 assists. Panelefsiniakos was lowering the difference in the second, third and fourth quarter but could not won the game and lost by two points. For Panionios two players made a double double, William Coleman had 12 points and 13 rebounds, Yaroslav Korolev had 19 points and 13 rebounds. Justin Tubbs and Dimitris Verginis had 12 points each and Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 9 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Kurt Looby debuted with a double double, 12 points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Johnson had 10 points, Stelios Ioannou had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Nikola Markovic had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Great road victory for Panionios that seems to steadily improve.

Olympiacos beat Panionios for Basket League tenth day. Olympiacos with a massive defence allowed Panionios to score only 5 points in the first and 13 points in the second quarter. Easy victory for the reds that had 12 players with score. For Panionios only Luke Hancock had two digits score with 17 points and 3 steals. Dimitris Verginis had 7 points and 4 assists, Tony Woods had 6 points and 4 rebounds. For the winners Bryant Dunston had 18 points with 9/11 shots, Vangelis Mantzaris served 7 assists and made 3 steals, Kostas Sloukas had 7 points and 5 assists. Panionios hosted and beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League seventh day. This was the first victory for Panionios in Basket League 2014-2015 after six defeats! Korivos started the game with a 5-14 run and finished first half leading the score by four points but in the second quarter Panionios balanced the game. With a 10-2 run Panionios finished first half leading by four points with Yaroslav Korolev making another great game. Korivos approached Panionios to one point at the end of the third quarter but did not manage to win the game. The visitors collected 7 rebounds more than Panionios but also made 17 turnovers. For Panionios Yaroslav Korolev had 23 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds, Tony Woods had 14 points and 7 rebounds, Dimitris Verginis had 14 points and Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 7 points and 5 rebounds. For Korivos Amaliadas Guille Rubio made a double double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Rob Lowery had 20 points and 8 rebounds, Darrius Garret had 8 points and 11 rebounds.

KAOD lost the second game at the friendly tournament that the team from Drama hosts. After the defeat from Panionios, KAOD lost from Lukoil Academic with 77-76. Dimitris Verginis scored 7 points.

 AGOR (Rethymno) will organize and host Petros Oikonomakis basketball friendly tournament on 4-6 October. Besides Rethymno, Panathinaikos and Panionios will participate from Greece and Lukoil Academic from Bulgaria. Lukoil Academic will replace Aris BC who was to participate in the tournament. The team from Bulgaria recently signed Dimitris Verginis.
