Katsikaris calls for Eurobasket 2015

Fotis Katsikaris, the coach of the National Team of Greece, called the first selection of players that will form the team that will play in Eurobasket 2015.

Greece National Team roster: Nikos Zisis (Bamberg), Vasilis Spanoulis (Olympiacos), Giannis Bourousis (Real Madrid), Kostas Kaimakoglou (Unics Kazan), Giorgos Printezis (Olympiacos), Nick Calathes (Panathinaikos), Kostas Papanikolaou (Denver Nuggets), Kostas Sloukas (Fenerbahce), Stratos Perperoglou (Barcelona), Kostas Koufos (Sacramento Kings), Vangelis Mantzaris (Olympiacos), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Vlantimir Giankovits (Panathinaikos), Zisis Sarikopoulos (AEK), Dimitris Agravanis (Olympiacos).

Aris signed Dimitris Priftis as head coach

Aris signed Dimitris Priftis as head coach. Priftis will return to Aris after the season 2009-2010 when he was the assistant coach of  David Blatt. In the previous season Priftis was the assistant coach of Fragiskos Alvertis in Panathinaikos where he won the Greek Championship and he is currently the assistant coach of Fotis Katsikaris in the National Team of Greece that will participate in the forthcoming World Championship in Spain.

Fotis Katsikaris in the new coach of the Greek national basketball team

Hellenic Basketball Federation announced that Fotis Katsikaris in the new coach of the Greek national basketball team. Katsikaris will coach the Greek national team in the forthcoming World Championship in Spain. Katsikaris started his coaching career in AEK as assistant coach of Dusan Ivkovic and Dragan Sakota, then as head coach of AEK before moving to Dinamo St. Petersburg BC, Valencia BC, Aris and Bilbao. Fotis Katsikaris replaced Andrea Trinchieri that failed in leading Greece to a medal.
