Zoi Dimitrakou signed with WNBA's Washington Mystics

Zoi Dimitrakou has signed a contract with WNBA's Washington Mystics. The Greek 28 years old forward will become the third Greek player after Anastasia Kostaki (Houston Comets) and Evina Maltsi  (Connecticut Sun) to play in the WNBA.

Dimitrakou started her career in Apollon Kalamarias, and has played for Megas Alexandros, Panionios and AO Palaio Faliro in Greece. In 2010 she moved to Spain for Sedis Bàsquet and played for the first time abroad. After Spain she moved to France where she played for Pays d'Aix Basket 13, Flammes Carolo Basket and Tango Bourges Basket. With Tango Bourges Dimitrakou played for the first time in Euroleague. Dimitrakou continued her career in Turkey with Kayseri Kaski and in Russia with Nadejda Orenbourg.
Dimitrakou is a member of the Greece squad that will play in the Eurobasket 2017 qualifying round.

In 2009 Dimitrakou became the first European player to make a quadruple double! In the game against Aris Cholargou Dimitrakou scored 49 points (3/7 FT, 23/27 FG), collected 18 rebounds, served 10 assists and made 12 steals in 34 minutes.
