Maroussi G.S. 1896 BC is delighted to announce the acquisition of American playmaker Jordan King for the next two years. King, coming off an impressive first professional season in Europe, is set to bolster Maroussi's backcourt with his versatile and scoring-oriented game.
Last season, King showcased his talent with HLA Alicante in Spain's Primera FEB, leaving a strong impression. In 34 games, playing an average of 28.5 minutes, he posted remarkable stats: 13.7 points (shooting 38.7% from three-point range), 2.9 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game. He is the third foreign player for Maroussi, joining Jacorey Williams and Cameron Reynolds.
Player Biography
Jordan King was born on March 2, 2001, in Albany, New York, and stands at 1.83m (6'0"). He attended Christian Brothers Academy, where as a senior, he averaged over 24 points per game.
His collegiate journey began at Siena College. As a freshman, he played in 30 games, averaging 4.7 points. In his second year, his scoring jumped to 12.2 points per game.
On June 9, 2021, King transferred to East Tennessee State University to play for the East Tennessee State Buccaneers. In his first season with the Buccaneers, he averaged 14.6 points per game, boasting an impressive 42.9% shooting from beyond the arc. The following season, in January 2023, he set a career-high with an incredible 42 points in a game against Citadel. He concluded that season averaging 15.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
In April 2023, King transferred once more, this time to Richmond University to play for the Richmond Spiders in NCAA Division I. In his debut for Richmond, King immediately made an impact by scoring 34 points. He graduated in 2024, earning the prestigious Atlantic 10 Player of the Year award.
Following his successful college career, King made his professional debut in the 2024-25 season with HLA Alicante in Spain, where he continued to demonstrate his scoring prowess and all-around game.
