Promitheas Signs Pauly Paulicap

Promitheas Patras has secured American big man Pauly Paulicap (28 years old, 2.07 meters / 6'9") to strengthen their frontline for the upcoming season. Head coach Giorgos Limniatis will welcome the athletic forward/center who is known for his dynamic play around the basket.

Recent Performance in Italy

Last season (2024-25), Paulicap played for Nutribullet Treviso in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A, where he averaged: 9.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He showcased impressive efficiency, shooting 58.7% from the field.

Paulicap is highly regarded for his athleticism and ability to impact both ends of the floor. He's particularly effective in the paint and was considered one of the most spectacular players in the Italian league.

 

Farewell to Italy

Paulicap recently posted a heartfelt message on Instagram bidding farewell to the Italian league:

"The last two years have been challenging to say the least. And even though we didn't achieve our final goal, these years were some of the best experiences of my life. From traveling all over Italy, experiencing the culture, trying incredible food, playing for an amazing city, and meeting some truly great people – I've been fortunate in more ways than one. All things eventually come to an end, and I just want to say how truly grateful I am for the opportunity I was given to be here and play for Treviso. The pleasure was all mine, and I will always keep Treviso close to my heart. Thank you, Treviso."

Born on May 9, 1997, in Elmont, New York, Paulicap played college basketball at Manhattan (2017-2020), DePaul (2020-2021), and West Virginia (2021-2022).

His professional career includes:

Anorthosis (Cyprus, 2022-2023): Averaged an impressive 14.4 points and 12.2 rebounds in 16 games, shooting 64.2% from the field.

Nutribullet Treviso (Italy, 2023-2025): Consistently put up solid numbers in the top Italian league. In the 2023-24 season, he averaged 7.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in 30 games.
