Giorgos Sigalas Appointed Head Coach of Kolossos Rodou

Giorgos Sigalas, known as "Rambo," is set to take the helm as head coach of Kolossos Rodou, succeeding Curro Segura. This appointment marks Sigalas' debut as a head coach in the Basket League. Sigalas returns to Kolossos after two years as an assistant coach under Giannis Kastritis at Aris BC. Previously, he was part of the coaching staff at Kolossos Rodou from 2020 to 2022, working with Ilias Kantzouris.

Kolossos Rodou Announcement:

"Kolossos Rodou BC is pleased to announce the agreement with coach Giorgos Sigalas, who will lead our team for the next three years. Sigalas returns to our team after serving as an assistant coach from 2020 to 2022. He moved to Thessaloniki to assist Giannis Kastritis at Aris. As a head coach, Sigalas led the Greek National U20 team in 2008 and has also coached Ermis Lagkada (2008/09) and Aigaleo (2014). We are confident that Sigalas' experience and knowledge will significantly contribute to our team's development and success in the coming years. We look forward to achieving our goals together with Giorgos and leading Kolossos to new triumphs."

 

Managerial Career Highlights


Greek National U20 Team (2008): Sigalas began his head coaching career with the Greek National U20 team in 2008.

Ermis Lagkada (2008-2009): He then moved on to coach Ermis Lagkada for the 2008/09 season.

Aigaleo (2014): In 2014, Sigalas took charge of Aigaleo, gaining further experience as a head coach.

Kolossos Rodou (2020-2022): From 2020 to 2022, Sigalas served as an assistant coach at Kolossos, working alongside Ilias Kantzouris.

Aris BC (2022-2024): He then joined Aris BC as an assistant coach under Giannis Kastritis, contributing to the team's strategies and performance.

Peristeri sign Keydren Clark

Peristeri (A2) sign Keydren Clark. The 33 years old American guard graduated from St. Peter's and went undrafted in the 2006 NBA Draft. Clark started his professional career in Greece with Egaleo and after a season in Italy with Scavolini Pesaro he returned to Greece for Aris. In 2007 and 2009 Clark was the Greek League's leading scorer, averaging 18.8 points with Egaleo. He continued his career in Italy with Umana Venezia Reyer and Cimberio Varese, in France with Nanterre and SLUC Nancy, and in Turkey with Acıbadem Üniversitesi. In the previous season Clark played 13 games with Promitheas Patras for the Basket League Greece, averaging 12.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. Clarks holds a Bulgarian passport.

Promitheas sign Rashad Anderson

Promitheas sign Rashad Shaheed Anderson. The 32 years old American player replaced Eli Carter that was released by the club. Anderson graduated from Connecticut where he played professional basketball for the Connecticut Huskies. After going undrafted in the 2006 NBA Draft Anderson started his professional career in Greece with Egaleo BC, where he averaged 14.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. Since then Anderson has played in many countries and clubs, such as in Italy for Livorno, Udine, and Cremona, in Lebanon for Al Riyadi, in Iran for Zob Ahan Isfahan, in Lavtia for Ventspils, in Cyprus for Paralimni and in France for Le Havre. In the previous season Anderson played in Hungary for MAFC, averaging 24.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
