Korivos and Markopoulos part ways

Korivos Amaliadas and Charis Markopoulos part ways. The 34 years old Greek coach became the head coach of Korivos in its first year in Basket League Greece. Markopoulos managed to keep the team in the first tier, so the team board renewed his contract for one more year. Korivos played 54 games with Markopoulos in the Basket League Greece, with a total record of 19 wins and 35 defeats.

Kolossos signed Panagiotis Vasilopoulos

Kolossos Rodou signed Panagiotis Vasilopoulos. The 32 years old Greek forward has played for PAOK, Olympiacos, and Valladolid, Kifisia and Korivos Amaliadas. Vasilopoulos suffered from a knee injury which was the reason Valladolid released him, but he returned to action in January 2015. In the previous season he played 26 games with Korivos Amaliadas averaging 6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Korivos Amaliadas signed Mirko Kovač

Korivos Amaliadas signed Mirko Kovač. The 33 years old Serbian forward will help Korivos to avoid relegation. Kovac started his professional career with Partizan and has also played for OKK Beograd, Red Star in Serbia and for SCM CSU Craiova and CSU Pitești in Romania. He has also played in Cyprus for APOEL Nicosia.

Korivos Amaliadas agreed terms with Chris Allen

Korivos Amaliadas agreed terms with Chris Allen. The 27 years old American guard started the season in Hungary for Atomeromu. in 2006 he played 3 games with USA U-18 in the U-18 Americas Championships. Allen played three years for the Michigan State but graduated from Iowa State. He then played two season in the NBA D-League with Sioux Falls Skyforce and Iowa Energy.
Allen has also played 5 games in Israel for Maccabi Ashdod.

Korivos Amaliadas signed Aleksandar Ćapin

Korivos Amaliadas signed Aleksandar Ćapin (Chapin). The 33 years old Slovenian-Serbian point guard will replace Vincent Council for the rest of the season. Korivos is the third team for Chapin in Greece, after playing for Panellinios in 2004 and Panionios in 2008. The experienced guard has played for many teams including Euroleague and Eurocup teams and a year ago he helped Buducnost to beat PAOK for Eurocup. Chapin has also played in Italy for Viola Reggio Calabria and Cimberio Varese, in Lithuania, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Slovenia and he started this season in Bosnia for KK Igokea.

Korivos Amaliadas released Kellen Thornton

Korivos Amaliadas and Kellen Thornton parted ways. The 26 years old American played 4 games with Korivos in Basket League 2015-2016, averaging 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 10 minutes per game.

Korivos Amaliadas signed Giorgos Georgakis. The 24 years old Greek center played for Trikala in 2013 and for KAOD in the previous season but was without team after KAOD was relegated. Georgakis was member of the Youth National teams and has also played for Kavala and Olympiacos.

Poulianitis renews with Aris, goes on loan to Korivos

Stelios Poulianitis renews with Aris until 2019 and goes on loan to Korivos Amaliadas for the season 2015-2016. Poulianitis came to Aris in 2013.

Korivos Amaliadas signed Obie Trotter. The 31 years old British - American penned an one year contract with Korivos and continues in Basket League Greece, after a year in Drama for KAOD where he averaged 8.4 points, 2.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.

Charis Markopoulos renews with Korivos Amaliadas. Almost a year since the newly promoted then team agreed terms with the Greek coach, both sides agreed to continue together. Markopoulos in his first year as the head coach managed to lead the newly promoted team in the league play offs, a great and difficult success!
