Diamantis Slaftsakis Returns to Kolossos Rodou

After two years in Thessaloniki, Diamantis Slaftsakis is returning to Rhodes to once again wear the Kolossos jersey. The 30-year-old forward previously played for Kolossos during the 2021/2022 season.

The Rhodes team's announcement states: "Kolossos H Hotels Collection announces its agreement with Diamantis Slaftsakis."

Diamantis Slaftsakis, born on July 27, 1994, is 2.01m tall and plays as a power forward.  He started his professional career in 2012 with KAO Dramas, where he stayed until 2015. The next season he played for Koroivos Amaliadas, and in 2016/17 he played for Apollon Patras. Subsequently, Slaftsakis wore the jersey of Trikala and from 2018 to 2021, he played for Aris. After his season in Rhodes, he moved to PAOK, and last season, he returned to Aris, where he averaged 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in the Greek Basket League, and 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in the Eurocup.

Apollon Patras sign Diamantis Slaftsakis

Apollon Patras sign Diamantis Slaftsakis. The 22 years old Greek forward penned a two years contract. Slaftsakis will work again with coach Mexas, with the two having worked together in KAOD for two seasons. Slaftsakis started his career with Chalkidona and moved to Mantoulidis. In 2012 he signed with KAOD and in the last season he played for Korivos Amalidas, averaging 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Olympiacos beat KAOD in Drama for Basket League eighth day. Olympiacos played tight defense on KAOD who had 0/6 three pointers in the first half. Dimitris Agravanis had 10 points in seven minutes in the first half with 1/1 two pointers, 2/2 three pointers and 1/1 free throws. Othello Hunter had 9 rebounds out of 19 team rebounds in the first half. KAOD had 0/3 three pointers in the third quarter but improved and with partial score 20-14 lowered the difference to 17 points. In the last quarter KAOD did not complete its counter attack and Olympiacos won by 18 points. KAOD could not expect more with 3/13 three pointers and 18/43 two pointers. For the home team Rod Odom had 14 points and 8 rebounds, Guy-Marc Michel had 12 points and 8 rebounds, Eric Atkins had 6 points and 4 assists. Aris beat KAOD in Drama for Basket League fourth day. Aris was leading the score in the whole game but KAOD counter attacked in the end and 14 seconds before the end Spyridonidis equalized the score, 72-72. Moourtos missed two free throws but Aleksandar Vezenkov was there to collect the rebound and score two free throws which gave his team the victory. Another great game for KAOD's captain Thodoris Zaras with 26 points and 5 assists. For KAOD Rob Loe added 9 points and 5 rebounds, Michel had 7 points and 7 rebounds, Diamantis Slaftsakis had 6 rebounds, 4 points and 3 assists. For Aris Ogo Adegboye had 17 points, LeMarcus Reed had 9 points and 7 rebounds, Drew Naymick had 12 points and 7 rebounds. KAOD hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League first day. In tight game KAOD managed to start the season with a victory. Terone Johnson scored 12 points, while Rob Loe and Linos Chrysikopoulos score 10 points each. Diamantis Slaftsakis scored 3 points but collected 13 rebounds. For Aries Trikala only Justin Ingram scored more than 10 points and served 6 assists while Cupkovic scored 9 points and collected 6 rebounds.

KAOD lost from Nea Kifisia for Greek League 15th day

KAOD hosted Nea Kifisia for Greek Basket League 15th day. Nea Kifisia started the game better than KAOD and took the lead by six points in the first quarter. KAOD reacted in the second quarter and with an 8-0 run equalized the score from 17-25 to 25-25. The first half finished with Nea Kifisia ahead by one points, 32-33. Nea Kifisia had 6/9 three pointers with Dimitris Tsaldaris having 11 points and Tony Crocker 8 points. For KAOD team game was the key with 9 players having scored in the first half. KAOD's team game helped the team to take the lead in the third quarter. Although in the beginning Nea Kifisia created a six points difference, 32-38, KAOD managed to counter attack and finish third quarter ahead by 3 points. With J'Covan Brown and Lazeric Jones KAOD reached 8 points of difference in the fourth quarter, 58-50. Nea Kifisia reduced it to 3 points, 59-56, with Kakiouzis and Garrett. The last minute was tight for both teams with Dimitris Tsaldaris scoring again after a long time and making the score 66-64. Tony Crocker equalized the score, 66-66, but Zaras with a three pointer and Slaftsakis with a free throw gave their team 4 points lead. Liakopoulos scored 2/2 and Lazeric Jones 1/2 free throws. Liakopoulos scored a crucial three pointer and the game finished with equal score in normal time, 71-71. Nea Kifisia was leading the score in the extra time before Dante Stiggers equalized, 74-74. Thodoros Zaras scored in the last seconds and made the score 76-74. Dimitris Tsaldaris and Michalis Kakiouzis failed to score but their team was collecting the rebounds and Dimitris Tsaldaris with his 5th but most crucial three pointer gave his team a great victory with score 76-77. For KAOD Diamantis Slaftsakis was the top player with 13 points and 8 rebounds, with Lazeric Jones having 19 points and 7 rebounds. For Nea Kifisia Dimitris Tsaldaris had 20 points with 5/9 three pointers, including the crucial winning one. Tony Crocker had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
