AEK eyes J'Covan Brown

AEK eyes J'Covan Brown. The 26 years old American will probably replace DJ Cooper and is experienced in the Basket League Greece since he played for KAOD in 2013-2014 season and with Rethymno Aegean in 2012-2013 season. Brown finished third in scored points in the Basket League Greece 2013-2014 regular season helping KAOD to enter the play offs, and he was named second MVP of the second round. After KAOD Brown played in Kazakhstan for BC Astana and in Turkey for Türk Telekom BK.

Panionios won KAOD for Greek League Play Offs

Panionios won and eliminated KAOD for Greek League Play Offs round one. Marc Carter scored 27 points with 7/13 three pointers and Errick McCollum had 20 points and 7 rebounds. For KAOD J'Covan Brown had 18 points and 6 assists, Nikola Markovic had 12 rebounds and 7 assists, Julian Vaughn had 13 points and 9 rebounds. Panionios doubled its victories against KAOD since it had more players of quality and qualified to the next round of the play offs.

Olympiacos beat KAOD for Greek League 24th day

Olympiacos hosted and defeated KAOD for Greek Basket League 24th day. KAOD beat Olympiacos in the first round game and ruined any thoughts that Olympiacos players had to finish first in the regular season. In this game Olympiacos didn't face problems winning KAOD. The visitors had only 6 assists in the game. For the winners Bryant Dunston, Vangelis Mantzaris and Vasilis Kavvadas had 10 points each. Bryant Dunston also had 9 rebounds. For KAOD J'Covan Brown had 29 points, Lazeric Jones had 19 points and Julian Vaughn had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Nikola Markovic had 11 rebounds but was very poor at scoring with 2 points, 0/7 field goals, 0/4 three pointers and 2/6 free throws.

Rethymno Aegean beat KAOD for Greek League 22nd day

Rethymno Aegean hosted and defeated KAOD for Greek Basket League 22nd day. KAOD had won Rethymno Aegean twice in Drama, with the last victory being the first round game, but has never won in Rethymno. The home team was much better than KAOD in the first half when the difference reached 16 points. KAOD reacted in the second half and lowered the difference but couldn't do anything better but to lose by 5 points. Rethymno Aegean won and covered the difference of one point that lost in the first round game. Kenny Gabriel was the top scorer of the game with another double double, 26 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals. Callistus Eziukwu had 8 points, 7 rebounds and Justin Hurtt had 15 points and 5 rebounds. For KAOD J'Covan Brown had 24 points and 4 rebounds but with 1/7 three pointers. Edin Bavčić had 8 points and 7 rebounds.

KAOD beat PAOK for Greek League 21st day

KAOD hosted and beat PAOK for Greek Basket League 21st day. KAOD had won all three home games against PAOK in the previous three seasons and PAOK had won all four games in Thessaloniki, making it a couple where the home teams always win. KAOD was leading the score in the first half since PAOK had 1/10 three pointers and home team only 2 turnovers. PAOK improved in the second half, lowered the difference in the third quarter and balanced the game in the end so the game went to extra time. In the extra time PAOK started with a 4-0 run but KAOD replied with a 9-0 run and lead the score till the end. PAOK was really bad at three pointers with only 3/20 while KAOD had 11/26. For PAOK Vangelis Margaritis was the top scorer with 15 points (4/4 field goals, 7/7 free throws), 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Giorgos Dedas and Mark Payne had 12 points each, Giorgos Bogris and Kostas Charalampidis 10 points each. DJ Cooper had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists but also 0/6 three pointers and 4 turnovers. For KAOD J'Covan Brown had 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Nikola Marković had only 4 points but also 12 rebounds and 4 assists.

Kolossos Rodou lost by KAOD for Greek League 20th day

Kolossos Rodou lost by KAOD for Greek Basket League 20th day. KAOD was better and Kolossos Rodou only managed to balance the game in the end of the third quarter. Kolossos Rodou took the lead with 66-64 in the fourth quarter but the home team wasn't focused and lost three consecutive offenses and the game. J'Covan Brown with 27 points and Edin Bavčić with 25 points were the leaders of KAOD. Nontas Papantoniou with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists was the top player of the home team with Taylor Smith adding 13 more points. Tenth victory for KAOD who reached sixth place in the league table.

KAOD beat Ikaros Chalkidas for Greek League 19th day

KAOD hosted and beat Ikaros Chalkidas for Greek Basket League 19th day. KAOD took full advantage of its home performance and defeated Ikaros Chalkidas with a counter attack in the second half. With 14/29 three pointers and 23/33 two pointers KAOD's offense was in a good day. Lazeric Jones with 20 points and J' Covan Brown with 17 points and 7 assists were the top players for KAOD. For Ikaros Chalkidas Ivan Aska with 14 points and 9 rebounds, Dominique Sutton with 10 points and 7 rebounds, Giannis Gagaloudis with 20 points and Strand with 10 points were the only players trying.

Ilisiakos lost by KAOD for Greek League 18th day

Ilisiakos lost by KAOD for Greek League 18th day. In a very crucial game between two teams that fight to avoid relegation KAOD won and this victory made Ilisiakos the team most likely to get relegated. The game was tight but the most focused team in the end won the game. Stiggers scored only 4 points but all of them in the last minute. Pigram scored 23 points for Ilisiakos but missed the crucial shots. For KAOD Nikola Marković had 7 points, 11 rebounds, Julian Vaughn 15 points, 9 rebounds, Slaftsakis 5 points, 9 rebounds and J'Covan Brown 21 points.

Panathinaikos beat KAOD in extra time for Greek League 17th day

Panathinaikos beat KAOD in extra time for Greek League 17th day. KAOD had defeated Panathinaikos in the previous season and Olympiacos in this season in Drama. The team from Drama was close to a second victory against Panathinaikos in Drama but Julian Vaughn missed a free throw 0.2 seconds before the end and the game went to extra time were Panathinaikos won by two. For Panathinaikos Dimitris Diamantidis and Jonas Mačiulis scored 18 points each, with the captain having 5 rebounds and 5 assists too. Stephane Lasme made a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds but he also had 5 turnovers. For KAOD J'Covan Brown scored 27 points with 6/8 three pointers and 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Lazeric Jones had 23 points, 5 assists and 6 steals.

KAOD lost from Nea Kifisia for Greek League 15th day

KAOD hosted Nea Kifisia for Greek Basket League 15th day. Nea Kifisia started the game better than KAOD and took the lead by six points in the first quarter. KAOD reacted in the second quarter and with an 8-0 run equalized the score from 17-25 to 25-25. The first half finished with Nea Kifisia ahead by one points, 32-33. Nea Kifisia had 6/9 three pointers with Dimitris Tsaldaris having 11 points and Tony Crocker 8 points. For KAOD team game was the key with 9 players having scored in the first half. KAOD's team game helped the team to take the lead in the third quarter. Although in the beginning Nea Kifisia created a six points difference, 32-38, KAOD managed to counter attack and finish third quarter ahead by 3 points. With J'Covan Brown and Lazeric Jones KAOD reached 8 points of difference in the fourth quarter, 58-50. Nea Kifisia reduced it to 3 points, 59-56, with Kakiouzis and Garrett. The last minute was tight for both teams with Dimitris Tsaldaris scoring again after a long time and making the score 66-64. Tony Crocker equalized the score, 66-66, but Zaras with a three pointer and Slaftsakis with a free throw gave their team 4 points lead. Liakopoulos scored 2/2 and Lazeric Jones 1/2 free throws. Liakopoulos scored a crucial three pointer and the game finished with equal score in normal time, 71-71. Nea Kifisia was leading the score in the extra time before Dante Stiggers equalized, 74-74. Thodoros Zaras scored in the last seconds and made the score 76-74. Dimitris Tsaldaris and Michalis Kakiouzis failed to score but their team was collecting the rebounds and Dimitris Tsaldaris with his 5th but most crucial three pointer gave his team a great victory with score 76-77. For KAOD Diamantis Slaftsakis was the top player with 13 points and 8 rebounds, with Lazeric Jones having 19 points and 7 rebounds. For Nea Kifisia Dimitris Tsaldaris had 20 points with 5/9 three pointers, including the crucial winning one. Tony Crocker had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. The veteran Michalis Kakiouzis had 2 points and 7 rebounds.

Panelefsiniakos defeated KAOD for Greek League twelfth day

Panelefsiniakos hosted and defeated KAOD for Greek League twelfth day. KAOD won Olympiacos in a great victory but didn't manage to double its victories against Panelefsiniakos. Panelefsiniakos took the lead of the game after the fifth minute and kept it until the end. Manolis Papamakarios, 15 points and 5 assists, Mouhammad Faye, 15 points and 7 rebounds, Larry Turner, 10 points and 6 rebounds, Rob Jones, 14 points and 5 rebounds, were a quartet that could not lose by J'Covan Brown, 20 points, and Nikola Marković, 11 points and 7 rebounds. In an almost balanced game in statistics, Panelefsiniakos was better in two pointers and free throws accuracy.

KAOD defeated Olympiacos for Greek League eleventh day

 KAOD defeated Olympiacos for Greek League eleventh day. Olympiacos played without Vasilis Spanoulis and Brent Petway, after its first defeat for this season from Panathinaikos. Olympiacos made 16 turnovers and had 4/21 three pointers. Matt Lojeski made a double double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals but was almost alone for Olympiacos. For KAOD Edin Bavčić had 19 points and 9 rebounds while Nikola Marković had 7 points and 10 rebounds. J'Covan Brown scored 25 points.

Apollon Patras lost by KAOD for Greek League tenth day

Apollon Patras hosted KAOD for Greek League tenth day. Apollon had 0/6 three pointers in the first quarter but KAOD with 3/13 two pointers couldn't expect more. In a bad attacking game Apollon Patras scored its first three pointer in 17th minute with Taylor. The first half finished with KAOD having poor shot accuracy, only 1/6 three pointers and 6/23 two pointers, no chance to win the game without improving. Lenny Daniel with 6 points and 6 rebounds in the first half was close to another double double. In the last quarter the counter attacke of KAOD with Lazeric Jones took place. Jones, Cović and Bavčić made the score equal and surpassed the home team three minutes before the end. Apollon Patras took back the lead two minutes before the end but Marković with a three pointer gave his team the lead by two points and there was one minute left. Argyropoulos missed the shot for Apollon,  J'Covan Brown scored two free throws and KAOD was ahead by four points with 45 second left. Lenny Daniel with a dunk lowered the difference to two points and the game was on fire. Lazeric Jones made a turnover but Demarius Bolds and Nikos Argyropoulos missed a shot each and their team lost a game that was leading for more than 30 minutes. Daniel Lenny Daniel made another double double, as expected in the half time, with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Edin Bavčić also made a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

KAOD defeated Rethymno Aegean for Greek League ninth day

KAOD hosted and defeated Rethymno Aegean for Greek League ninth day. This was the a victory after three defeats in a row for KAOD. The game was tight with the two teams following each other in the score point to point. Lazeric Jones, J'Covan Brown and Nikola Marković were the leader of KAOD with 19, 17 and 18 points respectively. For Rethymno Aegean Derek Wright scored 19 points and Damir Latovic made a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

PAOK defeated KAOD for Greek League eighth day

PAOK hosted and defeated KAOD for Greek Basketball League eighth day. PAOK started the game influenced by the defeat by Aries Trikala. First quarter finished with an equal score and the halftime finished with KAOD leading the score by one point. PAOK counter attacked in the third quarter, which is usually the crucial quarter for the team. In the end PAOK defeated KAOD with a wide difference. DJ Cooper was the leading scorer for PAOK with 19 points and Giorgos Bogris scored 10 points and collected 9 rebounds, missing another double double. For KAOD Julian Vaughn scored 18 points and collected 7 rebounds.

Kolossos Rodou defeated KAOD for Greek League seventh day. This was the first game for Kolossos Rodou after dismissing the coach Fragias and also the first away victory for the team. KAOD was leading the score by two points in the first quarter and five points in the second and third quarter. Kolossos Rodou made a counter attack in the last minute and took the victory with 76-79.

Panathinaikos defeated KAOD for Greek Basketball League fourth day

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated KAOD for the fourth day of the Greek Basketball League. Panathinaikos and KAOD had played 6 games and Panathinaikos have won all of them. KAOD had only 10 players available for the game and the newly added J'Covan Brown. Ramel Curry didn't play due to flu and Giorgos Apostolidis participated in his first official game with Panathinaikos. Panathinaikos started the game with 5/6 three pointers, 10 assists and 0 turnovers in the first quarter which finished with 35-20. In the second quarter Diamantidis made his 5th assist and he became the first player in Greek Basketball League history with 1700 assists. KAOD played offensive and open and reached 39 points in the half time. Shang Ping entered the game in the last quarter in his second game for the Greek Basketball League. All players from both teams played in the game and all except Ping and Kolovis scored. Bavčić collected 11 rebounds but scored only 5 points and Diamantidis gave 8 assists and scored only 3 points.
