Patrick Ewing Jr named MVP of the 17th day

Patrick Ewing Jr named MVP of the 17th day for his performance against Ilisiakos. In 33 minutes Ewing scored 27 points with 10/13 free throws, collected 7 rebounds, served 5 assists and made 2 steals. Ewing thanked the fans that were cheering loud supporting the team and said that he is happy to play again with
Jessie Sapp.

Nea Kifisia beat Panionios for Greek League 17th day

Nea Kifisia hosted and beat Panionios for Greek Basket League 17th day. Panionios started better and was leading first quarter but Nea Kifisia took the lead in the second quarter and kept it until the end. Nea Kifisia was poor in three pointer, only 2/15 but was more accurate than Panionios in two pointers and free throws. Nea Kifisia had 22/28 free throws while Panionios had 6/16. For Panionios Errick McCollum scored 19 points, Marc Carter had 13 points and 6 rebounds, Landon Milbourne 15 points and 4 rebounds. Nea Kifisia had a more team play with Saša Vasiljević having 15 points, Tony Crocker 13 points and eight more players scoring at least two points.

Panelefsiniakos beat Ikaros Chalkidas for Greek League 17th day

Panelefsiniakos hosted and beat Ikaros Chalkidas for Greek Basket League 17th day. In a very crucial game between two teams that fight to avoid relegation Panelefsiniakos got a great victory. Ikaros Chalkidas is in troubles after that defeat, since the team remains alone in the bottom of the League table. Ikaros Chalkidas was leading the score in the first half but blacked out in the second. With only 22 points in the second half, Ikaros Chalkidas lost the scoring lead and the game. Panelefsiniakos had a poor 2/15 in three pointers but collected more rebounds, made less turnovers and scored with two pointers and free throws. For Panelefsiniakos Mouhammad Faye made a double double with 18 points and 10 rebounds,  Josh Fisher had 15 points and 5 steals, Rob Jones 15 points and 9 rebounds, Larry Turner 10 points and 9 rebounds. For Ikaros Chalkidas Ivan Aska had 7 points and 11 rebounds, Giannis Gagaloudis 15 points and 7 assists, Ryan Richards 17 points.

Aries Trikala beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 17th day

Aries Trikala hosted and beat Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 17th day. In a crucial game for each team in order to avoid relegation Aries Trikala won by one point and took an advantage against Ilisiakos. Ilisiakos started the game more focused and was leading the score in the first half. Aries Trikala counter attacked and with Patrick Ewing Junior having a great game took the lead in the third quarter but Ilisiakos balanced the game in the last quarter. The victory went to Aries Trikala in the end with a three pointer from Marios Matalon and free throws of Patrick Ewing Junior. This was the sixth home win for Aries Trikala. Ilisiakos tried but made 26 turnovers in the game. Patrick Ewing Junior finished the game with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 8 fouls drawn. Chris Evans had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. For Ilisiakos DJ Stephens tried his best with a double double of 16 points and 15 rebounds. Nikos Chatzis had 14 points. Courtney Pigram scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 turnovers and Jessie Sapp 3 points, 4 assists and 2 steals in their debut in the league.

Apollon Patras lost by PAOK for Greek League 17th day

Apollon Patras lost by PAOK for Greek Basket League 17th day. Apollon Patras needed the victory in order to avoid relegation zone and move up for the play offs. First quarter was almost equal but PAOK with a burst in the second quarter and partial score 13-28 created a secure difference. Apollon Patras counter attacked and lowered the difference so that it took the lead with score 70-67. Roland Ross missed the crucial free throws in the end, Charalampidis and Kaselakis didn't miss their free throws and PAOK won a tight and crucial game. Apollon Patras had only 7/13 free throws while PAOK had 20/24. Noticeable fact that the only Greek player who scored for Apollon Patras was its captain Nikos Argyropoulos, no other Greek scored in the game for the home team. For PAOK Kostas Charalampidis had 26 points and Michalis Tsairelis 23 points. Tsairelis also had 8 rebounds while DJ Cooper had 6 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Mark Payne was almost perfect with 3/4 field goals, 1/1 three pointer and 5/5 free throws. For Apollon Patras Demarius Bolds had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals.

Aris beat Rethymno Aegean for Greek League 17th day

Aris beat Rethymno Aegean for Greek Basket League 17th day. Both teams had their own good periods in a tight game. Rethymno Aegean was leading the score in the first quarter but Aris with good defense on Derek Wright and Justin Hurtt made their team shot 3/14 three pointers. Kenny Gabriel led his team in a counter attack in the third quarter but the game was tight until the end. Eziukwu and Wright missed to score in the end, Aris scored with free throws and won a crucial game before the Cup Final. For Aris Giannis Athinaiou had 16 points, Michalis Pelekanos 10 points and 8 rebounds. For Rethymno Aegean Giannis Kalampokis scored 23 points and Kenny Gabriel 15 points. Callistus Eziukwu made a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Olympiacos beat Kolossos Rodou for Greek League 17th day

Olympiacos beat Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basket League 17th day. Olympiacos didn't face problems against Kolossos Rodou. Spanoulis scored 13 points with Papapetrou, Perperoglou and Moon having two digits score too. For Kolossos Rodou Taylor Smith made a double double with 15 points and 12 rebounds but only Nontas Papantoniou with 10 points and Bambale Osby with 6 points and 6 rebounds had a noticeable performance.

Panathinaikos beat KAOD in extra time for Greek League 17th day

Panathinaikos beat KAOD in extra time for Greek League 17th day. KAOD had defeated Panathinaikos in the previous season and Olympiacos in this season in Drama. The team from Drama was close to a second victory against Panathinaikos in Drama but Julian Vaughn missed a free throw 0.2 seconds before the end and the game went to extra time were Panathinaikos won by two. For Panathinaikos Dimitris Diamantidis and Jonas Mačiulis scored 18 points each, with the captain having 5 rebounds and 5 assists too. Stephane Lasme made a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds but he also had 5 turnovers. For KAOD J'Covan Brown scored 27 points with 6/8 three pointers and 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Lazeric Jones had 23 points, 5 assists and 6 steals.
