Rethymno Aegean beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 26th day

Rethymno Aegean hosted and defeated Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 26th day. Ilisiakos wanted the victory in order to avoid the relegation but with a crucial mistake in the final seconds lost the game and relegated in the second division after five consecutive years in the Greek Basket League. Ilisiakos started the game with a 6-0 run and was leading the score in the first quarter. Rethymno Aegean counter attacked in the second quarter and with a 12-0 run took the lead in score. Rethymno Aegean was keeping the lead in the third and last quarter until the end. Ilisiakos took a small lead and was close to avoid relegation but Courtney Pigram made a crucial turnover and lost the ball. Giannis Kalampokis scored and made the score 63-62. Ilisiakos made another turnover and lost the game which led to the relegation in the second division. For Rethymno Aegean Kenny Gabriel was the top scorer with 15 points and 8 rebounds, Luka Drča had 14 points and 7 rebounds, Callistus Eziukwu had 8 points and 9 rebounds. For Ilisiakos Cheikh Mbodj had 22 points and 17 rebounds but he lost crucial free throws in the last minute also Courtney Pigram had 16 points but he made the crucial turnover in the last minute. Panagiotis Kafkis had 16 points and 7 assists.

Kolossos Rodou beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 24th day

Kolossos Rodou hosted and beat Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 24th day. With that victory Kolossos avoided relegation while pushed Ilisiakos to its relegation. Kolossos Rodou had only 2/20 three pointers but also had 16 rebounds more than Ilisiakos. For the winners Taylor Smith was the best player with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Kostas Kakaroudis and Mladen Pantic were again positive with 13 and 10 points respectively. For Ilisiakos Courtney Pigram had 17 points and Cheikh Mbodj had 12 points.

Panathinaikos beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 21st day

Panathinaikos hosted Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 21st day. Panathinaikos was counting 11 victories in 11 games against Ilisiakos, a team that is fighting to avoid relegation. Ilisiakos played without DJ Stephens, a big loss for the team. First quarter was a game between the first and the last team of the league. Without tight defense Panathinaikos had 4/6 three pointers. The game was like a training for Panathinaikos and the coach Fragiskos Alvertis made his debut as coach in the Greek League. Diamantidis and Maciulis didn't play so that they will rest for Euroleague games. With 12/28 three pointers Panathinaikos played open against Ilisiakos that approached to 5 points couple minutes before the end but Nikos Pappas secured the victory for his team. Mike Bramos had 17 points, Antonis Fotsis 11 points and 9 rebounds, Nikos Pappas 16 points. For Ilisiakos Courtney Pigram had 14 points, Cheikh Mbodj 12 points and 7 rebounds, Savvas Tzougarakis 12 points and the veteran Nikos Chatzis 8 points and 7 assists.

Ilisiakos lost by Panionios for Greek League 20th day

Ilisiakos lost by Panionios for Greek Basket League 20th day. Panionios had lost 3 consecutive games and wanted this victory but Ilisiakos wanted it more since the team stands alone in the bottom of the league table. Panionios took an early lead in the first quarter but Ilisiakos with 33-17 partial score in the second quarter turned the game upside down. Third quarter was more balanced and in the end Panionios with Errick McCollum and Landon Milbourne won a tight game. For Panionios Errick McCollum had 27 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Landon Milbourne had 22 points and Christos Saloustros 12 points and 6 rebounds. For Ilisiakos Courtney Pigram had 28 points, 5 rebounds but also 8 turnovers. DJ Stephens had 8 points and 7 rebounds. Ilisiakos is now the team that will most likely relegate to second division.

Nea Kifisia beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 19th day

Nea Kifisia hosted Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 19th day. Ilisiakos is fighting to avoid relegation and every game is crucial. Ilisiakos was competitive only for one quarter. With 4/24 three pointers and 7 rebounds fewer than Nea Kifisia Ilisiakos didn't have many chances to win the game.  Nikos Liakopoulos with 17 points, Tony Crocker with 16 points and Dimitris Tsaldaris with 14 points were the top scorers of the winners. Tony Crocker made a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. For Ilisiakos the new players Eric Devendorf and Courtney Pigram were the top scorers and DJ Stephens added 7 points and 8 rebounds. With that defeat Ilisiakos remained in the bottom of the league table and has fewer chances to avoid relegation.

Ilisiakos lost by KAOD for Greek League 18th day

Ilisiakos lost by KAOD for Greek League 18th day. In a very crucial game between two teams that fight to avoid relegation KAOD won and this victory made Ilisiakos the team most likely to get relegated. The game was tight but the most focused team in the end won the game. Stiggers scored only 4 points but all of them in the last minute. Pigram scored 23 points for Ilisiakos but missed the crucial shots. For KAOD Nikola Marković had 7 points, 11 rebounds, Julian Vaughn 15 points, 9 rebounds, Slaftsakis 5 points, 9 rebounds and J'Covan Brown 21 points.

Aries Trikala beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 17th day

Aries Trikala hosted and beat Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 17th day. In a crucial game for each team in order to avoid relegation Aries Trikala won by one point and took an advantage against Ilisiakos. Ilisiakos started the game more focused and was leading the score in the first half. Aries Trikala counter attacked and with Patrick Ewing Junior having a great game took the lead in the third quarter but Ilisiakos balanced the game in the last quarter. The victory went to Aries Trikala in the end with a three pointer from Marios Matalon and free throws of Patrick Ewing Junior. This was the sixth home win for Aries Trikala. Ilisiakos tried but made 26 turnovers in the game. Patrick Ewing Junior finished the game with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 8 fouls drawn. Chris Evans had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. For Ilisiakos DJ Stephens tried his best with a double double of 16 points and 15 rebounds. Nikos Chatzis had 14 points. Courtney Pigram scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 turnovers and Jessie Sapp 3 points, 4 assists and 2 steals in their debut in the league.

Ilisiakos defeated Panelefsiniakos for Greek League 16th day

Ilisiakos defeated Panelefsiniakos for Greek Basket League 16th day. Ilisiakos' team play helped the team to finish the first quarter ahead by 6, while Panelefsiniakos had Papamakarios with 7 points. With Panagiotis Kafkis, Periklis Dorkofikis and DJ Stephens scoring 31 points together Ilisiakos broadened its lead in the half time to 12 points. Panelefsiniakos lowered the difference to 10 points in the third quarter but with poor three pointers accuracy and less rebounds than Ilisiakos could not ask more. Ilisiakos defeated Panelefsiniakos in a tight game where home team had 25/37 free throws and Panelefsiniakos 20/24. Courtney Pigram in his debut scored 16 points. Periklis Dorkofikis scored 19 points and Nikos Chatzis 14 points. DJ Stephens collected 12 rebounds and Cheikh Mbodj 10 rebounds. For Panelefsiniakos Manolis Papamakarios scored 18 points with 10/10 free throws. Rob Jones had 16 points and 8 rebounds and Larry Turner 12 points and 5 rebounds.

Ilisiakos signed Courtney Pigram

Ilisiakos signed Courtney Pigram. The 28 years old American replaced Kevin Anderson who left the club earlier this week. Pigram played in Spain for BC Andorra and then in China for Heilongjiang Zhaozhou Feng Shen before being drafted in the 5th round of the 2011 NBA Development League Draft by the Idaho Stampede. Earlier this season Pigram played for Phantoms Braunschweig in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
