Ilisiakos wanted the victory in order to avoid the relegation but with a crucial mistake in the final seconds lost the game and relegated in the second division after five consecutive years in the Greek Basket League. Ilisiakos started the game with a 6-0 run and was leading the score in the first quarter. Rethymno Aegean counter attacked in the second quarter and with a 12-0 run took the lead in score. Rethymno Aegean was keeping the lead in the third and last quarter until the end. Ilisiakos took a small lead and was close to avoid relegation but Courtney Pigram made a crucial turnover and lost the ball. Giannis Kalampokis scored and made the score 63-62. In the crucial game between two teams that fight to avoid relegation Ilisiakos won with a historic game by Nikos Chatzis. The veteran player had 19 points and became the top scorer of all times in the Greek Basket League. Ilisiakos hosted Aris for Greek Basket League 22nd day. Iliakos and Aris had played 11 games for Greek Basket League and Aris have won all of them. Ilisiakos started good and was leading the score with 9-7 before Aris made a 2-10 run and finish first quarter with score 11-17. In the second quarter Ilisiakos scored only 9 points and finished the first half with 20 points, a very poor game. In the first half Ilisiakos had 6/10 free throws, 4/26 field goals and 2/8 three pointers. In a very crucial game between two teams that fight to avoid relegation KAOD won and this victory made Ilisiakos the team most likely to get relegated. The game was tight but the most focused team in the end won the game. Stiggers scored only 4 points but all of them in the last minute. Pigram scored 23 points for Ilisiakos but missed the crucial shots. Ilisiakos defeated Panelefsiniakos for Greek Basket League 16th day. Ilisiakos' team play helped the team to finish the first quarter ahead by 6, while Panelefsiniakos had Papamakarios with 7 points. With Panagiotis Kafkis, Periklis Dorkofikis and DJ Stephens scoring 31 points together Ilisiakos broadened its lead in the half time to 12 points. Panelefsiniakos lowered the difference to 10 points in the third quarter but with poor three pointers accuracy and less rebounds than Ilisiakos could not ask more. In the first game without its top scorer, Kevin Anderson, Ilisiakos made a suprisingly good game and was leading the game for 21 minutes. Olympiacos had to tried more in a supposingly easy game. For Olympiacos 11 players, all except young Katsivelis scored. For Ilisiakos the veteran Nikos Chatzis scored 22 points and DJ Stephens 6 points with 13 rebounds. Jamario Moon was the top scorer of Olympiacos in his first game in the League.

Ilisiakos took the lead in score with 10-6 but then Apollon made an 11-0 run and finished the first quarter ahead by 10 points. In the second quarter it was Ilisiakos' turn to make an 8-0 run and lower the difference of the first half to 4 points. Ilisiakos lowered the difference to two points, in the beginning of the second half, but Apollon Patras replied and the difference reached 16 points, 41-57. Apollon Patras blacked out and Ilisiakos made a 13-0 run with Antonakis, Chatzis and Anderson. In the last quarter Ilisiakos equalized the score two times but Apollon Patras with two three pointers by Wilson and Bolds was keeping the lead. Panathinaikos defeated Iisiakos for Greek Basketball League eighth day. Panathinaikos didn't face many problems against Ilisiakos since DJ Stephens was alone in scoring for the home team and finished the game with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Vlantimir Giankovits scored 19 points and Mike Batiste scored 14 points without missing any shot, 7/7 shots. Panathinaikos had 6/22 three pointers but 23/27 two pointers. Panathinaikos' captain Dimitris Diamantidis played only 13 minutes, an easy game to relax before crucial Euroleague game.

Ilisiakos hosted Nea Kifisia in a game where the winner would leave the loser last in the table. The veteran Nikos Barlos helped his team took the lead in the first quarter, where Nea Kifisia was ahead with 18-26. DJ Stephens and Petrodimopoulos scored in the second quarter and the first half finished with the two teams close in score, 37-39. Third quarter was competitive as well and the score remained balanced. Ilisiakos with Kevin Anderson scoring better in the last quarter, turned the game upside down and finally won it by 6 points, 71-65. Great come back for Ilisiakos in a crucial home game.
