OFI withdraws from A2 League

The board of OFI (Iraklio) announced that the team withdraws from A2 League 2015-2016 and as a result is relegated to C League. In this season many teams have been relegated and promoted due to economic reasons before the start of the leagues, but OFI is the first team to withdraw after the league started. This is of course bad news for the league since the competition will not be that tough.

Lavrio replaces KAOD, Peristeri replaces Panionios

Panionios was relegated to A2 League but the board decided to start the season from B League (third division), so that the team can face its economic problems.
KAOD remained in the Basket League but cannot find enough budget to play and will participate in the A2 League. So KAOD goes to A2, and Panionios that was in A2 goes to B. The "lucky" teams Lavrio, Peristeri and Evropi Pefkohori get promoted in the last minute.
Lavrio will participate in Basket League 2015-2016, replacing KAOD.
Peristeri will replace Lavrio and Evropi Pefkohori will replace Panionios in the A2 League.
Let's hope that there will be no further relegations due to economic problems, because such disrupts harm the league and the scheduling of all teams.
