Panathinaikos beat Panelfsiniakos for Basket League twenty fifth day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Panelfsiniakos for Basket League twenty fifth day. Panathinaikos first game with Manolopoulos as head coach was different. Against the already relegated Panelefsiniakos Manolopoulos used players that did not have much time until now. Janis Blums was the top scorer with 17 points, young Papagiannis scored 6 points and collected 9 rebounds, Charalampopoulos served 5 assists, Fotsis collected 10 rebounds and DeMarcus Nelson scored 12 points. For Panelefsiniakos Kurt Looby collected 18 rebounds, but missed the double double for one point. Stelios Ioannou had 5 points and 6 rebounds. Nikos Pappas was injured while trying to make a dunk, and went to hospital for stitches.

Panelefsiniakos beat Panionios for Basket League twenty fourth day

Panelefsiniakos beat Panionios for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty fourth day. The two already relegated teams played good basketball and Panelefsiniakos won in the last second with a shot by Stelios Ioannou. For Panionios Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 17 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds. William Coleman had 23 points with 11/13 free throws, 9 rebounds and 9 fouls drawn. Justin Tubbs scored 16 points and Will Sheehey had 4 points before being fouled out. For the winners Kurt Looby and Nikola Markovic made a double double each. 16 points and 13 rebounds for Looby, 26 points and 10 rebounds for Markovic. Nemanja Mitrović had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

Korivos Amaliadas beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League twenty third day

Korivos Amaliadas beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. With this victory Korivos avoided relegation in its first year in the League and Panelefsiniakos will get relegated. Panelefsiniakos was leading the score for more than 37 minutes but in the end Korivos stole the victory with a shot by Josh Magette. Korivos had 3/16 three pointers but Panelefsiniakos collected only 23 rebounds, and only 7 offensive rebounds. For Panelefsiniakos Nemanja Mitrovic had 18 points (5/5 3p) and Nikola Markovic had 16 points (5/12 2p). Kurt Looby collected 4 offensive rebounds. For the winners Tim Bowers had 12 points and 6 assists, Guille Rubio had 14 points, Kirk Donnavan had 11 points and 2 blocks, Nikos Angelopoulos collected 7 rebounds.

PAOK beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty first day. PAOK started with a 6-0 run, Panelefsiniakos counter attacked and made the score 10-6, but that was all for the home team. PAOK with Kevin Langford created a secure difference before the half time. Langford was the leader of PAOK with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Marc Carter and Apollon Tsochlas scored 12 points each. Jake Odum had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 fouls drawn. Julian Vaughn had 1/6 free throws and 4 turnovers. For Panelefsiniakos Nikola Markovic made another double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kurt Looby had 11 points and 8 rebounds.

AEK beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League eighteenth day

AEK hosted and beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 eighteenth day. In a three pointers contest AEK smashed Panelefsiniakos. AEK had 15/27 three pointers with Carl English having 8/9 and Tomas Delininkaitis having 4/5. AEK scored more than 100 points in the League after nine years, Dusan Sakota completed 200 victories as coach and English set the three pointers record of the season. Carl English had 28 points, Pops Mensah-Bonsu had 19 points, 7 rebounds and Malik Hairston served 5 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Looby Kurt made a double double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Fotis Vasilopoulos scored 17 points with 5/6 three pointers and served 8 assists, and Nikola Markovic scored 14 points.

Nea Kifisia hosted and beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 sixteenth day. Panelefsiniakos started better but Nea Kifisia balanced the game and it seemed like an easy victory. In the last quarter with a 9-22 run Panelefsiniakos tried to steal the victory but Markovic made a turnover in the last offence and did not complete it. For Nea Kifisia Cade Davis had 16 points, Dimitris Mavroeidis had 15 points and 5 rebounds, Nikos Liakopoulos collecteed 6 rebounds and Uros Duvnjak served 4 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Giannis Athanasoulas had 16 points and 5 assists, Kurt Looby collected 13 rebounds, Elijah Johnson had 13 points. Nikola Markovic made a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds but made 6 turnovers and had 2/9 field goals.

Apollon Patras beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League fifteenth day. In a very tight game the visitors were leading the score but in the last minutes Panelfsiniakos tried to steal the victory. Muhammad El-Amin with his second three pointer made the score 71-72 and gave the victory to his team. Perfect game for El-Amin in 28 minutes scored 26 points, collected 3 rebounds, served 4 assists and did not make a turnover. Kevin Galloway had 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Nikola Markovic made a double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Fotis Vasilopoulos had 6 points and 5 assists, Kurt Looby had 13 points and 5 rebounds. Panelefsiniakos tried but with 17/35 field goals and 8/23 three pointers could not expect more.

Panionios beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League eleventh day

Panelefsiniakos hosted Panionios for Basket League eleventh day. Panionios seem to roll from game to game and against Panelefsiniakos started the game with 31 points in the first quarter. Yaroslav Korolev had 13 points and 5 rebounds in the first half and Vasilis Xanthopoulos 6 assists. Panelefsiniakos was lowering the difference in the second, third and fourth quarter but could not won the game and lost by two points. For Panionios two players made a double double, William Coleman had 12 points and 13 rebounds, Yaroslav Korolev had 19 points and 13 rebounds. Justin Tubbs and Dimitris Verginis had 12 points each and Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 9 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Kurt Looby debuted with a double double, 12 points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Johnson had 10 points, Stelios Ioannou had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Nikola Markovic had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Great road victory for Panionios that seems to steadily improve.

Panelefsiniakos signed Kurt Looby

Panelefsiniakos signed Kurt Looby. The 30 years old Antiguan player penned a contract until the end of season. Looby had played in Greece for Peristeri in 2010-2011 season averagingn 6.5 points and 7 rebounds in 28 games, being the fourth blocker of the League. He graduated from Iowa where he played for Iowa Hawkeyes and then continued in NBA D-League for Rio Grande Valley Vipers, in Poland for Trefl Sopot and in the previous season he played in Germany for Telekom Baskets Bonn.
