Trikala sign Sotiris Manolopoulos

Trikala sign Sotiris Manolopoulos. The 29 years old Greek forward started his professional career in 2003 with to PAOK. Manolopoulos has played for AEL, Peristeri, Kavala, Ikaros Chalkidas, Aris and Kolossos Rodou in Greece, and for Bàsquet Mallorca, Palencia Baloncesto and Gestibérica Vigo in Spain. In the previous season in 26 games with Kolossos Manolopoulos averaged 5.85 points and 1.88 rebounds per game.

Sotiris Manolopoulos replaced Dragan Sakota in AEK

AEK appointed Sotiris Manolopoulos as new coach. The team decided to release Dragan Sakota from the head coach position and the experienced Serbian is now the team's General Manager. Sotiris Manolopoulos joined AEK two months ago and is now the head coach of the team.

Sotiris Manolopoulos joins AEK

Sotiris Manolopoulos joins AEK. The 45 years old Greek coach agreed terms with AEK and will help Dragan Sakota. Manolopoulos started his coaching career in Peristeri and then moved to Makedonikos, Marousi and Aris. In the last three years he was member of Panathinaikos technical group and when Ivanovic was released he was the temporary coach of Panathinaikos for the 2014-2015 play offs.

Panathinaikos beat Panelfsiniakos for Basket League twenty fifth day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Panelfsiniakos for Basket League twenty fifth day. Panathinaikos first game with Manolopoulos as head coach was different. Against the already relegated Panelefsiniakos Manolopoulos used players that did not have much time until now. Janis Blums was the top scorer with 17 points, young Papagiannis scored 6 points and collected 9 rebounds, Charalampopoulos served 5 assists, Fotsis collected 10 rebounds and DeMarcus Nelson scored 12 points. For Panelefsiniakos Kurt Looby collected 18 rebounds, but missed the double double for one point. Stelios Ioannou had 5 points and 6 rebounds. Nikos Pappas was injured while trying to make a dunk, and went to hospital for stitches.

Panathinaikos released Dusko Ivanovic

Panathinaikos released its coach Dusko Ivanovic after the defeat by Olympiacos. In his less than a season pass from the team Ivanovic counts 21-3 record for the Basket League regular season, but lost the first place and twice by Olympiacos. In Euroleague Panathinaikos with Ivanovic had a 13-15 record, with many road defeats by teams weaker than the Greens. Ivanovic won the Greek Cup with Panathinaikos by playing and winning only 3 games. His assistant coach Sotiris Manolopoulos will be the temporary coach of the team.

Kolossos Rodou beat KAOD for Basket League twelfth day

Kolossos Rodou beat KAOD in Drama for Basket League twelfth day. Kolossos won its third game in four visits in Drama with Ernest Scott and Aggelos Tsamis having a great game. The visitors created a lead of 27 points in the second quarter but the home team managed to counter attack in the second half. KAOD's counter attack was not enough although the captain Thodoris Zaras made another great game. Zaras finished the game with 22 points and 4 rebounds, Rob Loe had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, Rod Odom had 7 points and 6 rebounds. For the winners Scott made a double double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sotiris Manolopoulos had 14 points with only one missed shot, Aggelos Tsamis had 14 points and 5 rebounds, Jamelle Hagins had 8 rebounds and Dominic Waters served 5 assists.

Aris and Sotiris Manolopoulos part ways. Manolopoulos had only played couple minutes in four games and wanted a team that will offer him a more important role and more game time.

Aris signed Sotiris Manolopoulos

Aris signed Sotiris Manolopoulos. The Greek forward in the previous season played for Ikaros Chalkidas and averaged 5.1 points and 2 rebounds per game. Before Ikaros Chalkidas Manolopoulos played for Kavala BC, Peristeri BC, two years for Kolossos Rodou, AEL and PAOK in Greece. Manolopoulos has also played in Spain for Mallorca, Palencia Baloncesto and Gestiberica Ciudad de Vigo.

Duško Ivanović and Panathinaikos agreed terms

Duško Ivanović (Душко Ивановић) is the new head coach of Panathinaikos. The coach of the Bosnian national team agreed terms for a two years' contract with the Greek champions. Sotiris Manolopoulos will be the assistant coach, keeping his current position and Fragiskos Alvertis will become the team manager.

Panathinaikos announced coaches Alvertis and Priftis

Panathinaikos announced its new technical team. The head coach will be Panathinaikos' legend Fragiskos Alvertis. Assistant coaches will be Sotiris Manolopoulos, who stays in his position, and Dimitris Priftis. Dimitris Priftis was the coach of Kolossos Rodou since November when he replaced Vasilis Fragias. This is the second Greek coach for Panathinaikos, after Želimir Obradović left the club.
