AEK agreed terms with Michael Eric. The 27 years old Nigerian center will help AEK in the Basket League play offs. AEK wil be the second Greek team for Eric since he agreed terms with Panelefsiniakos in December 2014, but after playing one game against Korivos Amaliadas (19 points, 7 rebounds), he left the team and moved to Italy for Brindisi.

AEK agreed terms with Taurean Green

AEK agreed terms with Taurean Green. The 29 years old American Georgian guard will sign a contract with AEK if he passes all medical exams. Green graduated from the University of Florida where he played for the Gators and then he was drafted in the second round, 52nd overall, by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2007 NBA Draft. In 2007-2008 he moved from Portland Trail Blazers to Idaho Stampede, then to Denver Nuggets and finally to Colorado 14ers.
Green actually started his professional career in Spain for CAI Zaragoza and a year later he moved to Greece for AEK. After one year he moved back to Spain for Gran Canaria. After Spain Green played in Turkey for Tofas Bursa, in France for Limoges CSP and ASVEL Basket, and he started this season in Italy for Sidigas Avellino.

AEK released Dionte Christmas

AEK released Dionte Christmas. The 29 years old American had penned an one month contract with AEK until February 8th that was not renewed by the team. Christmas played 4 league games with AEK averaging 2.5 points, 1.75 rebounds and 1.5 turnovers per game with negative ranking -1 in total. In his best game with AEK Christmas scored 8 points against PAOK.

AEK signed J'Covan Brown

AEK signed and announced J'Covan Brown. The 25 years old American guard agreed terms with the club and will replace DJ Cooper. AEK eyed Brown since he has experience from the Basket League Greece.

DJ Cooper and AEK parted ways

DJ Cooper and AEK parted ways. The American stayed less than two months in AEK and played only 8 games in Basket League averaging 10.8 points and 6 assists, but after several disciplinary problems the team was searching for a player to replace him. DJ Cooper was signed and announced by the French AS Monaco Basket.

AEK eyes J'Covan Brown

AEK eyes J'Covan Brown. The 26 years old American will probably replace DJ Cooper and is experienced in the Basket League Greece since he played for KAOD in 2013-2014 season and with Rethymno Aegean in 2012-2013 season. Brown finished third in scored points in the Basket League Greece 2013-2014 regular season helping KAOD to enter the play offs, and he was named second MVP of the second round. After KAOD Brown played in Kazakhstan for BC Astana and in Turkey for Türk Telekom BK.

AEK signed Dionte Christmas

AEK signed Dionte Christmas. The 29 years old American guard was officially announced by the club and returns to Greece after 2011-2012 season when he was the top league scorer. Christmas graduated from Temple Owls and went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft. He started his professional career in Israel for Hapoel Afula, then played some games in Turkey for Mersin, Czech Republic for Nymburk and in Greece for PAOK. In 2011-2012 he played 26 games with Rethymno Aeagen averaging 18.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3 assists. His performance gave him a contract with the Boston Celtics from July until October, in CSKA Moscow for couple months and he finished the season in Italy for Montepaschi Siena. In 2014 Christmas returned to the NBA for Phoenix Suns but then moved to France for Paris-Levallois. This season Christmas played four pre-season games with Cleveland Cavaliers, then moved to Israel for Hapoel Holon and now he will finish the season in Greece with AEK.

AEK released Malcolm Armstead

AEK released Malcolm Armstead. The 26 years old American played only three games with AEK and after the addition of DJ Cooper was not into the team's planning. Armstead continues in Turkey with Büyükşehir Belediyespor.

AEK agreed terms with Jurij Zdovc

AEK agreed terms with Jurij (Jure) Zdovc. The 49 years old Slovenian is the new coach of AEK, replacing Dragan Sakota. Zdovc signed a 2.5 years contract (1.5 + 1) until the summer of 2018.
Zdovc has played for Iraklis and Panionios in Greece, and was the coach of Iraklis in 2005-2006 season.

As a player he has won one Euroleague, two French Championships, two Slovenian Championships, three Slovenian Cups.
As a coach he has won one Croatian and three Slovenian Cups, and one Slovenian and one Bosnian Championships. In 2012 he was named coach of the year for the Eurocup with Spartak St. Petersburg. Before AEK Zdovc was the head coach of Gaziantep in Turkey, with Stefanos Dedas being his assistant coach. Dedas did not follow Zdovc in AEK, as he is now the head coach of Gaziantep.

Sotiris Manolopoulos replaced Dragan Sakota in AEK

AEK appointed Sotiris Manolopoulos as new coach. The team decided to release Dragan Sakota from the head coach position and the experienced Serbian is now the team's General Manager. Sotiris Manolopoulos joined AEK two months ago and is now the head coach of the team.

DJ Cooper apologized and continues with AEK

DJ Cooper apologized and continues with AEK. The American Bosnian came to Athens for AEK less than a month ago but the team called the player to apologize for disciplinary issues. There were rumours about doping test but the team made it clear that only official announcements are valid. Cooper apologized and continues with AEK for the rest of the season.

It is official, AEK signed DJ Cooper! The talks and rumours were spread during the last week but today it become official and AEK announced the agreement with DJ Cooper. The American knows the Greek League since he has played for PAOK and he was named Best Guard of Basket League 2013-2014 and he broke the assists record of the Basket League Greece in his first professional season. DJ Cooper had a great game against AEK in the recent Eurocup game with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Another advantage is that he holds a Bosnian passport too.

AEK signed Malcolm Armstead. The 26 years old American guard will replace Philip Scrubb. Armstead played in Chipola College, Oregon, and graduated from Wichita State. He started his professional career in Slovenia for Krka Novo Mesto where he won the one championship, two cups and one super cup. Armstead started this season in Russia for Avtodor Saratov where he averaged 13.7 points and 5.4 assists for the domestic league and 13 points and 4.5 points in Eurocup. With Avtodor Saratov he played against PAOK and scored 13 points.

AEK signed Dimitris Mavroeidis

AEK signed Dimitris Mavroeidis. The 30 years old Greek has a great season start with Kifisia averaging 14.2 points and 10.2 rebounds (First in League) in 5 games (second in league ranking), and he was named MVP of first day. Mavroeidis played for Peristeri, Panionios and Marousi in Greece before moving to Spain for Bilbao. In 2013 he started the season with Olympiacos, but he was released on December due to injuries and since then he was playing for Nea Kifisia. Great acquisition for AEK, since Mavroeidis and Mavrokefalidis lead the Basket League rankings, rebounds and points categories.

Nick Pavlos on loan to Doukas

Nick Pavlos on loan to Doukas. The young Greek forward came to AEK in July 2015 but did not play any official game and was sent on loan to Doukas in A2 League.

Sotiris Manolopoulos joins AEK

Sotiris Manolopoulos joins AEK. The 45 years old Greek coach agreed terms with AEK and will help Dragan Sakota. Manolopoulos started his coaching career in Peristeri and then moved to Makedonikos, Marousi and Aris. In the last three years he was member of Panathinaikos technical group and when Ivanovic was released he was the temporary coach of Panathinaikos for the 2014-2015 play offs.

AEK signed Oderah Anosike

AEK signed Oderah "O. D." Anosike. The 24 years old American center had agreed terms with Laboral Kutxa Baskonia but the two sides agreed on mutual termination of the contract so that the player can join AEK. Anosike graduated from Sienna Saints and has played for Scavolini Pesaro and Sidigas Avellino in Italy and Strasbourg IG in France. In 2014 he joined the Boston Celtics in NBA Summer League. Anosike will replace Orton who was released due to disciplinary issues. Although Anosike is not tall (203 cm high) he was the top rebounder in Italian Serie A in his rookie season with Pesaro.

AEK signed Giannis Kalampokis

AEK signed Giannis Kalampokis. The 37 years old Greek guard penned an one year contract. Kalampokis started his professional career in A2 for Palaio Faliro and then moved to Olympiacos. He continued in AEK, PAOK, Panionios, Beneton Trevizo, Ikaros Kallitheas, PAOK, Alba Berlin, Kolossos Rodou and Rethymno. He is a player that improves with hard word, as a result he was first called in the Greek National Team at the age of 31, when he won the bronze medal in European Championship.

Milan Milošević renews with AEK

Milan Milošević renews with AEK. The 29 years old Bosnian forward came to AEK in the previous season and will continue with the club in the Basket League Greece 2015-2016. Milošević averaged 6.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in the previous season.
