Andrea Vicenzutto Joins AEK BC as Assistant Coach for the 2024-25 Season

AEK BC has announced the appointment of Andrea Vicenzutto as the new assistant coach for the 2024-25 season. Vicenzutto, who was Dragan Sakota's assistant in Brindisi last season, brings a wealth of experience to the team.


The 33-year-old Italian coach began his career as an assistant coach in the 2014-2015 season with Pienne Basket in his hometown of Pordenone. He then spent three years (2015-2019) at Bergamo, where he contributed to the team's historic promotion to Legadue during the 2016-17 season. From 2019 to 2022, he served as an assistant at Orzinuovi, followed by a season at Trieste in 2022-2023 before joining Sakota in Brindisi last season.

    2014-2015: Assistant Coach, Pienne Basket
    2015-2019: Assistant Coach, Bergamo (Promoted to Legadue in 2016-17)
    2019-2022: Assistant Coach, Orzinuovi (Qualified for Coppa Italia LNP 2021)
    2022-2023: Assistant Coach, Trieste
    2023-2024: Assistant Coach, Brindisi

Kymi and Giorgos Limniatis part ways. The 45 years old Greek coach left the club where he worked as the assistant coach of Vasilis Bratsiakos, due to personal reasons.

Fotis Takianos continues with Doxa Lefkadas

Fotis Takianos continues with Doxa Lefkadas. The Greek coach will continue with Doxa Lefkadas, as the assistant coach of Charis Markopoulos. Takianos was the head coach of OFI BC for three years and became the head coach of Doxa Lefkadas in October 2015 when the coach Ziagkos left the team.

George Vovoras agreed terms with Panathinaikos

George Vovoras agreed terms with Panathinaikos. The Greek coach returns to the Greens as the assistant coach of Argyris Pedoulakis. Vovoras will join the team after he finishes the season with APOEL in Cyprus. Besides Vovoras, Kostas Tsartsaris and Fragiskos Alvertis will join the technical crew of Panathinaikos.

Stefanos Dedas is Gaziantep's new head coach

Stefanos Dedas is Gaziantep's new head coach. The Greek coach was the assistant of Jure Zdovc, but the Slovenian coach left Gaziantep for AEK and Dedas did not follow him since he had an offer from Gaziantep to become the head coach.

Sotiris Manolopoulos replaced Dragan Sakota in AEK

AEK appointed Sotiris Manolopoulos as new coach. The team decided to release Dragan Sakota from the head coach position and the experienced Serbian is now the team's General Manager. Sotiris Manolopoulos joined AEK two months ago and is now the head coach of the team.

KAOD signed Dimitris Misiakos

KAOD signed Dimitris Misiakos. Misiakos will be the assistant coach of Kostas Mexas. The 32 years old coach last year promoted Enosis Iliou in the B division and he is member of the technical crew of the Greek Young Men National Team.

Aris signed Dimitris Priftis as head coach

Aris signed Dimitris Priftis as head coach. Priftis will return to Aris after the season 2009-2010 when he was the assistant coach of  David Blatt. In the previous season Priftis was the assistant coach of Fragiskos Alvertis in Panathinaikos where he won the Greek Championship and he is currently the assistant coach of Fotis Katsikaris in the National Team of Greece that will participate in the forthcoming World Championship in Spain.
