Doxa Lefkadas and Charis Markopoulos part ways

Doxa Lefkadas and Haris Markopoulos part ways as the club officially announced. Markopoulos started his career as a head coach with Korivos Amaliadas, and after keeping the team two straight years in the Basket League he moved to the newly promoted Doxa Lefkadas. Doxa is currently at the bottom of the league table with only 3 wins after 18 games. The former head coach of Doxa, and assistant coach of Markopoulos, Fotis Takianos will manage the team until the end of the season.

Fotis Takianos continues with Doxa Lefkadas

Fotis Takianos continues with Doxa Lefkadas. The Greek coach will continue with Doxa Lefkadas, as the assistant coach of Charis Markopoulos. Takianos was the head coach of OFI BC for three years and became the head coach of Doxa Lefkadas in October 2015 when the coach Ziagkos left the team.

Doxa Lefkadas agreed terms with Charis Markopoulos

Doxa Lefkadas agreed terms with Charis Markopoulos. The Greek coach will lead the newly promoted team of Lefkada, like he successfully did with Korivos Amaliadas in 2014. Markopoulos has worked in the technical crew of PAOK, Aris, and Iraklis and became the head coach of a team in 2014 with Korivos Amaliadas. Since he managed to keep Korivos in the Basket League Markopoulos renewed his contract with the team for another season and also managed to keep the team in the top tier. After two successful season Korivos and Markopoulos parted ways earlier this summer.

Korivos and Markopoulos part ways

Korivos Amaliadas and Charis Markopoulos part ways. The 34 years old Greek coach became the head coach of Korivos in its first year in Basket League Greece. Markopoulos managed to keep the team in the first tier, so the team board renewed his contract for one more year. Korivos played 54 games with Markopoulos in the Basket League Greece, with a total record of 19 wins and 35 defeats.

Charis Markopoulos renews with Korivos Amaliadas

Charis Markopoulos renews with Korivos Amaliadas. Almost a year since the newly promoted then team agreed terms with the Greek coach, both sides agreed to continue together. Markopoulos in his first year as the head coach managed to lead the newly promoted team in the league play offs, a great and difficult success!

PAOK beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League fourth day

PAOK hosted and beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League fourth day. It was the first game of the Basket League Greece that a father and a son, Soulis and Charis Markopoulos, played against each other as head coaches of the two opponents. The faher had previously won the son in a friendly game for the Patras Cup and he repeated the same for the Basket League. For the winners Apollon Tsochlas had 17 points, Giorgos Dedas had 16 points and Julian Vaughn had 11 points. For Korivos Amaliadas Rob Lowery had 18 points, Dwayne Davis had 14 points and Sasa Vasiljevic had 12 points.

Charis Markopoulos agreed terms with Korivos Amaliadas

Charis Markopoulos is Korivos Amaliadas' new coach. The 32 years old Greek will coach Korivos Amaliadas in its first year in Basket League Greece, since the coach Vasilis Nipergialis who promoted the team from A2 parted ways with Korivos a week ago. Markopoulos was a member of PAOK's technical team and had been head coach of Iraklis and assistant coach of Aris.
