Korivos Amaliadas beat Apollon Patras for Basket League twenty fourth day

Korivos Amaliadas hosted and beat Apollon Patras for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty fourth day. Like in the first round the game had an extra time and again the home team won in the end. Apollon wanted a victory to hope for the play offs but Korivos beat it and covered the 5 points difference of the first round defeat. For the winners Guille Rubio made a double double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Sasa Vasiljevic had 21 points, Tim Bowers had 10 points (2/6 ft) and 5 rebounds, Josh Magette had 5 points, 5 assists and 6 fouls drawn. For Apollon Brandon Penn had 14 points, Galloway had 10 points and 7 assists, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, Gaios Skordilis had 13 points and 7 rebounds, Alex Sigounas collected 9 rebounds.

Korivos Amaliadas beat Panionios for Basket League twentieth day

Korivos Amaliadas hosted and beat Panionios for Basket League Greece 2014-2105 twentieth day. With Guille Rubio scoring 19 points and collecting 9 rebounds, and Tim Bowers having 16 points and 6 rebounds, Korivos managed to beat Panionios and make a crucial step to avoid relegation. For the winners Sasa Vasiljevic had 12 points and 6 assists, Rawle Marshall had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. For Panionios William Coleman had 20 points and 6 rebounds, Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 15 points and 7 assists, Justin Tubbs had 12 points, but they were not enough to save the game and avoid relegation.

Korivos Amaliadas beat PAOK for Basket League seventeenth day

Korivos Amaliadas hosted and beat PAOK for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 seventeenth day. The second fight between father and son, Soulis and Harris Markopoulos. The first half was a game between Rawle Marshall and Jake Odum, who scored 12 and 11points respectively. In the second quarter Langford and Angelopoulos took the lead in scoring. The game was tight and the two teams could not create a secure difference. In the last minute Korivos Amaliadas was more focused and took advantage of its home and fans. Great victory for Korivos in its fight to avoid relegation and first official victory for Haris Markopoulos against his father Soulis Markopoulos. For the winners Tim Bowers finished the game with a double double, 15 points and 15 rebounds. Rawle Marshall had 14 points (12 in the first quarter), Nikos Angelopoulos had 11 points and 6 rebounds, Sasa Vasiljevic had 10 points.  For PAOK Apollon Tsochlas had 14 points, Jake Odum and Kevin Langford had 12 points each, with Odum having 7 rebounds and 4 assists too. PAOK made 17 turnovers and had 4/20 three pointers and 9/15 free throws.

Panelefsiniakos beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League tenth day. Panelefsiniakos started the game better and was leading the score in the first quarter. The home team counter attacked and led the second and third quarters but Panelefsiniakos managed to steal the victory in the last seconds. Seven seconds before the end Eric Michael scored two points and gave his team the lead. Saša Vasiljević missed the last shot and Panelefsiniakos won Korivos in Amaliada in a tight game. For Korivos Amaliadas Dwayne Davis had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Nikos Angelopoulos had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Eric Michael had 19 points and 7 rebounds, Frank Robinson had 17 points and 7 rebounds, Elijah Johnson had 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Korivos Amaliadas beat Aris for Basket League sixth day

Korivos Amaliadas hosted and beat Aris for Basket League sixth day. With Pasalic, Reed and Thomas Aris started the game with a 4-20 score in the first five minutes. Pasalic had 8 points with 3/3 shots and 1/1 free throw in the first quarter. Korivos Amaliadas improved in the second quarter and approached Aris. In the half time Rob Lowery had 15 points, Guillem Rubio had 12 points and 6 rebounds, Muhamed Pašalić had 17 points and Torey Thomas had 11 points! In the second half the home team counter attacked. First it lowered the difference to three points in the third quarter and won the game in the end by four points. Korivos had 24/33 free throws and 45 rebounds! Great victory for Korivos Amaliadas who managed not to collapse after a very bad first quarter. Great game by Rob Lowery who had 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks! Sasa Vasiljevic added 15 points, Guille Rubio had 15 points and 8 rebounds, Darrius Garret had 8 rebounds, 6 points and 4 blocks. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov made another double double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Muhamed Pasalic had 19 points but only 2 points in the second half, Torey Thomas had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Korivos Amaliadas hosted and beat KAOD for Basket League fifth day. KAOD was leading the score for three quarters but lost in the end by Korivos in Amaliada. Korivos defense was tight in the last quarter and KAOD scored only 7 points. In the last minute Sasa Vasiljevic with a three pointer gave his team a great victory. For the winners Rob Lowery had 17 points and Josh Magette had 5 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guille Rubio in his debut had 16 points and 6 rebounds, great addition for Korivos. For KAOD Rod Odom had 23 points and 9 rebounds, Linos Chrysikopoulos had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and Eric Atkins had 7 points and 5 assists. In his debut Obie Trotter had 5 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist.

For Rethymno Aegean Roeland Schaftenaar scored 15 points, Trevis Simpson scored 14 points, Fanis Koumpouras served 8 assists, Mouhammad Faye scored 15 points and collected 9 rebounds, Dejan Kravic scored 11 points and collected 8 rebounds. Apollon Patras beat Korivos Amaliadas for Patras Cup friendly tournament. The home team started the game with a 23-7 run and Korivos managed to lower the difference in the half time down to 5, 43-38. In the second half Apollon broadened the difference and won with ease.

Korivos Amalidas signed Saša Vasiljević. The experienced Serbian point guard will continue in the Basket League Greece with the newly promoted team of Koroivos, after a good season with Nea Kifisia where he averaged 7.38 points and 2.2 assists per game.

Nea Kifisia beat Kolossos Rodou for Greek League 21st day

Nea Kifisia hosted and defeated Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basket League 21st day. Kolossos won the first round game in Rodos island by three points, but now Kolossos is fighting to avoid relegation while Nea Kifisia is in play offs position. First quarter was balanced but in the second quarter Nea Kifisia created a difference of 9 points. Nea Kifisia had 5/12 three pointers in the first half, while Kolossos Rodou had 2/8. Kolossos Rodou started better in the second half and with a 2-7 run managed to lower the difference but at the end of the third quarter the difference was back to 9 points, 63-54. Again in the last quarter the visitors tried to win the game but Nea Kifisia found solutions and won the game plus covered the difference of the first round game. Top scorers for Nea Kifisia Giannis Psathas and Ogo Adegboye with 14 points each. Giannis Psathas also had 8 rebounds and 5 steals. The veteran Michalis Kakiouzis helped with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Saša Vasiljević didn't score but served 9 assists. For Kolossos Rodou Marko Car had 19 points with 5/5 three pointers, Nontas Papantoniou 12 points and in his debut Kostas Kakaroudis had 12 points. Taylor Smith and Osby Bambale had 9 rebounds each.

Nea Kifisia beat Panionios for Greek League 17th day

Nea Kifisia hosted and beat Panionios for Greek Basket League 17th day. Panionios started better and was leading first quarter but Nea Kifisia took the lead in the second quarter and kept it until the end. Nea Kifisia was poor in three pointer, only 2/15 but was more accurate than Panionios in two pointers and free throws. Nea Kifisia had 22/28 free throws while Panionios had 6/16. For Panionios Errick McCollum scored 19 points, Marc Carter had 13 points and 6 rebounds, Landon Milbourne 15 points and 4 rebounds. Nea Kifisia had a more team play with Saša Vasiljević having 15 points, Tony Crocker 13 points and eight more players scoring at least two points.

Nea Kifisia defeated Aries Trikala for Greek League 14th day

Nea Kifisia hosted and defeated Aries Trikala for Greek Basket League 14th day. Nea Kifisia started better than Aries Trikala the first half, with Tony Crocker and Darrius Garrett leading their team. Nea Kifisia made only 4 turnovers in the first half and had double accuracy than Aries Trikala in two pointers, 73% vs 32%, finishing the first half ahead by 18 points. Aries Trikala complained about referees, since Patrick Ewing Junior was charged with 3 fouls after only 4 minutes in the game. It was almost sure that Aries Trikala will improve in the second half. With Jeremy Granger, Patrick Ewing Junior and Chris Evans made a 9-0 run and lowered the difference from 18 points to only 2 points, 53-51. Nea Kifisia replied with Darrius Garret and two consecutive three pointers from Vasiljevic, broadening the difference to two digits again, 61-51. Nea Kifisia won by 23 points since it had higher shot accuracy, more rebounds and more assists. Tony Crocker was the top scorer with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Darrius Garrett had 9 points and 10 rebounds. Saša Vasiljević with 5/9 three pointers and 17 pointers helped his team with crucial shots. The veteran Michalis Kakiouzis with 5/5 two pointers and 2/2 free throws was a reliable player when needed. For Aries Trikala Chris Evans had 18 points and 8 rebounds, Jeremy Granger 15 points and 8 rebounds, Patrick Ewing Junior 16 points and Giannakidis 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Nea Kifisia hosted and defeated Panelefsiniakos for Greek Basket League thirteenth day. First quarter was tight but Nea Kifisia with 4/6 three pointers and 6/9 two pointers took the lead by 7 points. Panelefsiniakos imroved in the second quarter and finished the half time with two points under Nea Kifisia. Third quarter was a balanced one before Nea Kifisia with Tony Crocker and Nikos Liakopoulos securing the victory and Saša Vasiljević with two three pointers finishing the game. For Nea Kifisia Dimitris Tsaldaris scored 20 points, Nikos Liakopoulos 17 points and Tony Woods had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. For Nea Kifisia Brandis Raley Ross was the top scorer with 18 points. Manolis Papamakarios and Rob Jones scored 14 points each and Larry Turner made a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Rethymno Aegean lost by Nea Kifisia for Greek League tenth day

Rethymno Aegean hosted Nea Kifisia for Greek League tenth day. Rethymno Aegean had a poor first quarter with 0/2 free throws, 0/3 three pointers and 5/14 two pointers. Only Damir Latovic had 3/3 shots for Rethymno Aegean in the first quarter. Nea Kifisia with better accuracy finished the first half ahead by six points. In the second quarter Giannis Kalampokis was keeping Rethymno in the game but Nea Kifisia with team play was keeping the difference. Fanis Koumpouras scored the second three pointer of Rethymno and the half time ended with the home team four points behind Nea Kifisia. Michalis Kakiouzis helped with his experience Nea Kifisia to keep the lead. Rethymno Aegean with two three pointers from Giannis Kalampokis and Damir Latovic equalized the score but Saša Vasiljević made the score of the third quarter 42-44. Nea Kifisia with Darrius Garrett started the fourth quarter with a 6-0 run. Rethymno Aegean replied with Kenny Gabriel and Fanis Koumpouras. Two minutes before the end Giannis Kalampokis equalized the score, 53-53. Kenny Gabriel and Nikos Barlos missed a shot each and there was one minute left. Damir Latovic scored only one out of two free throws, while Tsaldaris for Nea Kifisia scored both free throws. Derek Wright, Saša Vasiljević and Kenny Gabriel missed a three pointer each in the last 30 seconds and Rethymno Aegean lost by one point from Nea Kifisia. Kenny Gabriel made another double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Nea Kifisia hosted and defeated PAOK for Greek League ninth day. This was the second time PAOK lost from a team from the bottom of the table, after the defeat by Aries Trikala. PAOK was ahead in score in the first half but the tiredness from of the players and the counter attack of Nea Kifisia gave the victory to the home team. Nea Kifisia finished the game with 13/22 three pointers but PAOK had 10/25 three pointers too.Tony Crocker scored 29 points and Saša Vasiljević 24 points for Nea Kifisia. Michalis Kakiouzis in his debut with Nea Kifisia scored 6 points and collected 4 rebounds. For PAOK DJ Cooper with 20 points and 6 assists, and Giorgos Bogris with 16 points, were not enough to win the game.

Panathinaikos defeated Nea Kifisia for the fifth day of Greek Basketball League. Panathinaikos started the game with energy and a lot of three pointers, finished the first quarter with18 points difference that kept until the end. Panathinaikos had 15/27 three pointer and 15/26 two pointers. For Nea Kifisia Tony Crocker scored 20 points and collected 7 rebounds. For Panathinaikos all players except Shang Ping scored.

Aries Trikala lost by Nea Kifisia for the first day of Greek Basketball League 2013-2014. The newly promoted Nea Kifisia win by 69-64 in Trikala. Great game for Liakopoulos who scored 19 points, collected 7 rebounds and gave 7 assists. For Trikala Chris Evans led the score with 15 points. Quarters' scores 22-21, 33-38, 47-46, 64-69.
