Olympiacos beat Panathinaikos for Basket League twenty fourth day

Olympiacos beat Panathinaikos for Basket League twenty fourth day. With another great game by Spanoulis and Printezis Olympiacos doubled its wins against Panathinaikos, secured the first place and the home advantage in the the play offs. Panathinaikos played without James Gist, who was banned due to marijuana use, and this was the last game with Ivanovic as Panathinaikos coach. The game was interrupted for 25 minutes in the end, since home fans broke into court, after Spanoulis celebrated a crucial three pointer.

Panathinaikos beat Aris for Basket League twenty third day

Panathinaikos beat Aris for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. Panathinaikos did not face problems against Aris, but the game was between Nikos Pappas (17 points, 7 rebounds) and Aleksandar Vezenkov (11 points and 11 rebounds). Pasalic and Diamantidis served 4 assists each, Giankovits made 3 steals, Drew Naymick made 4 blocks. Aris collected only 3 offensive rebounds and 13 rebounds less than Panathinaikos.

Nikos Pappas renews with Panathinaikos

Nikos Pappas renewed his contract with Panathinaikos until the summer of 2018. The team announced the renewal before the second game against CSKA Moscow in Athens.

Panathinaikos beat Panionios for Basket League twenty second day

Panathinaikos beat Panionios for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty second day. Panionios was competitive in the first half but in the second half did not follow the greens. With this defeat the historic club of Panionios was officially relegated to the second division. For the home team Xanthopoulos served 8 assists, Korolev collected 9 rebounds. William Coleman made a double double with 21 points and 10 rebounds but were not enough. For the winners AJ Slaughter had 18 points with 3/6 three pointers, Nikos Pappas had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, Antonis Fotsis collected 8 rebounds. Esteban Batista made a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Panathinaikos beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League twenty first day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty first day. Easy victory for Panathinaikos with another record for Dimitris Diamantidis. The captain became the all time best in rebounds in the professional league of Greece, surpassing his former teammate Tsartsaris. Lountzis, Bochoridis, Diamantakos and Charalampopoulos gained more experience. Gist was the top scorer of Panathinaikos with 13 points. Diamantakos collected 7 rebounds, Diamantidis served 4 assists. For Korivos Rawle Marshall had 13 points, Andreas Kanonidis had 12 points, Sasa Vasiljevic served 6 assists, Josh Magette served 6 assists and made 3 steals. Guille Rubio and Giorgos Galliotos collected 7 rebounds each. Tim Bowers and Nikos Pappas made 4 turnovers each.

Panathinaikos beat PAOK for Basket League nineteenth day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat PAOK for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 nineteenth day. PAOK started with a 9-3 run and troubled Panathinaikos. Panathinaikos balanced the game but PAOK with Kevin Langford equalized the score again in the third quarter, 39-39. Then Giankovits and Batista helped their team to create a secure difference until the end. Good game for Vlando Giankovits with 14 points and 5 assists. Nikos Pappas had 12 points, 6 assists and 3 steals, Esteban Batista had 11 points and 9 rebounds, Fotsis with 3 three pointers contributed 11 points and DeMarcus Nelson had 12 points. For PAOK Kevin Langford had 15 points and 6 rebounds, Marc Carter had 17 points and 8 rebounds, Dimitris Charitopoulos scored 10 points and collected 6 rebounds, and Tsochlas scored 10 points with 2 three pointers. Panathinaikos played conservative and smart making only 8 turnovers and having 21 assists.

Panathinaikos beat Rethymno Aegean for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 eighteenth day. James Gist with many impressive dunaks and 19 points led Panathinaikos to an easy victory against Rethymno Aegean. Gist had 8/8 field goals and 1/2 free throws. Gani Lawal did not miss a shot and scored 8 points. For Panathinaikos Nikos Pappas scored 19 points, Dimitris Diamantidis served 8 assists, and Esteban Batista collected 6 rebounds. Batista also made 5 tunovers, out of 14 team total. For Rethymno Aegean Mouhammad Faye had 19 points and 5 rebounds, Dejan Kravic had 15 points, Roeland Schaftenaar collected 5 rebounds, and Vincent Council had 5 assists and 4 turnovers.

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 seventeenth day. Dusko Ivanovic gave the chance to young players and they did their best. Giorgos Papagiannis made his first double double with 10 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals in 23 minutes. Michalis Lountzis scored 11 points, Antonis Koniaris scored 5 points and served 5 assists, Nikos Pappas scored 13 points, Vasilis Charalampopoulos collected 7 rebounds and Lefteris Bochoridis served 6 assists. Panathinaikos hosted and beat Zalgiris Kaunas for Euroleague 2014-2015 Top 16 round 3. The Greens remained undefeated in their home for the Top 16. Panathinaikos started the game with a 9-0 run and surprised Zalgiris that was not able to reply. With Nikos Pappas as its top scorer and with Vlantimir Giankovits having 11 points and 7 rebounds Panathinaikos builds for the future too. For the visitors Will Chery had 14 points and Edgaras Ulanovas had 10 points.

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Aris for Basket League tenth day. Panathinaikos played without Dimitris Diamantidis and Aris took advantage of it and was leading the score by 14-19 in the first quarter. Nikos Pappas entered the court and with a 10-0 run gave his team the scoring lead. Panathinaikos was keeping the lead from 15 points, 68-53, to 5 points, 74-69, and won the game. For Panathinaikos Nikos Pappas had 23 points, Jānis Blūms had 14 points, Vlantimir Giankovits had 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Esteban Batista made another double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov had 19 points and 6 rebounds, Muhamed Pašalić had 12 points and 6 assists, LeMarcus Reed had 13 points and 8 rebounds, Drew Naymick had 5 points and 9 rebounds.

Panathinaikos beat Bayern Munich for Euroleague seventh day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Bayern Munich for Euroleague seventh day. The Greek champions stayed undefeated in their home and qualified to Euroleague Top 16. Panathinaikos finished the first half without any turnovers, flawless game by the greens. AJ Slaugher had a good day and Loukas Mavrokefalidis played for Esteban Batista too. For Bayern Munich Bo McCalebb had 15 points, John Bryant had 9 points and 9 rebounds, Robin Benzing had 14 points and 6 rebounds. Heiko Schaffartzik had 0/6 three pointers and James Gist had 1/8 field goals. Panathinaikos is getting more and more points by the new Greek players and the team seems to roll.

Panathinaikos beat Turow Zgorzelec in Poland for Euroleague sixth day. This was the first away victory for Panathinaikos in Euroleague 2014-2015. Panathinaikos had 23/28 free throws and 8 rebounds more than Turow. Great game for Loukas Mavrokefalidis who had 21 points (5/6 2p, 1/1 3p, 8/8 free throws), 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Nikos Pappas also had a great game with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad game for AJ Slaughter who had 0/5 field goals and 4 personal fouls. For Turow Tony Taylor and Chris Wright had 13 points each, Damian Kulig had 11 points but also 5 turnovers. Panathinaikos made its first away win with Diamantidis playing only for 27 minutes and almost secured next round promotion.

Panathinaikos hosted beat AEK for Basket League third day. Panathinaikos didn't let AEK hope with a 15-3 run in the first minutes and won the game by 34 points difference. The new players of Panathinaikos dominated the game with Lefteris Bochoridis serving 13 assists (missed double double for one point), Nikos Pappas scored 18 points and AJ Slaughter and Vlantimir Giankovits scored 16 points each. For AEK only Dusan Sakota scored more than 10 points and Zisis Sarikopoulos scored 9 points and collected 9 rebounds.

Panathinaikos beat Turow Zgorzelec for Euroleague first day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Turow Zgorzelec for Euroleague 2014-2015 first day. Panathinaikos is an experienced Euroleague team but this season started with fresh players. With Dimitris Diamantidis playing only for 15 minutes and scoring two points Panathinaikos would have faced problems in the previous years but now A.J. Slaughter and Nikos Pappas scored 16 points each and Esteban Batista, Jānis Blūms and Vlantimir Giankovits scored more than 10 points each. Julian Wright who debuted with Panathinaikos scored 4 points. For Turow Zgorzelec Mardy Collins, who had played many games against Panathinaikos in the previous season with Olympiacos, scored 23 points and Damian Kulig scored 17 points. Panathinaikos starts Euroleague 2014-2015 with a home victory.

CSKA Moscow beat Panathinaikos for Nikos Galis Cup. Dimitris Itoudis coached CSKA against a team that spend more than a decade, Lefteris Bochoridis returned to Alexandrio after his transfer to Panathinaikos. Panathinaikos could win the game but in the last offense CSKA scored 4 points with a goal foul and stole the victory. For CSKA Moscow Aaron Jackson had 16 points, Vitaly Fridzon had 13 points and Andrey Vorontsevich had 9 rebounds. For Panathinaikos Esteban Batista had 11 points and 6 rebounds, Nikos Pappas had 11 points and Vlantimir Giankovits had 10 points.

Panathinaikos beat Ilisiakos for Greek League 21st day

Panathinaikos hosted Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 21st day. Panathinaikos was counting 11 victories in 11 games against Ilisiakos, a team that is fighting to avoid relegation. Ilisiakos played without DJ Stephens, a big loss for the team. First quarter was a game between the first and the last team of the league. Without tight defense Panathinaikos had 4/6 three pointers. The game was like a training for Panathinaikos and the coach Fragiskos Alvertis made his debut as coach in the Greek League. Diamantidis and Maciulis didn't play so that they will rest for Euroleague games. With 12/28 three pointers Panathinaikos played open against Ilisiakos that approached to 5 points couple minutes before the end but Nikos Pappas secured the victory for his team. Mike Bramos had 17 points, Antonis Fotsis 11 points and 9 rebounds, Nikos Pappas 16 points. For Ilisiakos Courtney Pigram had 14 points, Cheikh Mbodj 12 points and 7 rebounds, Savvas Tzougarakis 12 points and the veteran Nikos Chatzis 8 points and 7 assists.

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated Nea Kifisia for Greek Basket League 18th day. Panathinaikos didn't face problems to win Nea Kifisia but were not good in the fourth quarter. For Panathinaikos all twelve players played for at least 7 minutes each. Loukas Mavrokefalidis was the leader with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 fouls drawn. Nikos Pappas had 10 points and 6 rebounds. For Nea Kifisia Tony Crocker had 13 points and 7 rebounds, Nikos Liakopoulos 10 points.

Panelefsiniakos lost by Panathinaikos for Greek Basket League 15th day. First quarter was massive for Panathinaikos and crucial for the game. Panathinaikos managed the 14 points difference of the first quarter and had an easy victory. Rob Jones with a double double 15 points and 12 rebounds, Manolis Papamakarios with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and Larry Turner with 8 points and 8 rebounds were the best players of Panelefsiniakos. Dimitris Diamantidis played only 9 minutes without scoring so Nikos Pappas with 15 points, Stephane Lasme with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Ramel Curry with 13 points and 6 rebounds were the leaders of Panathinaikos.

Panathinaikos defeated Iisiakos for Greek Basketball League eighth day. Panathinaikos didn't face many problems against Ilisiakos since DJ Stephens was alone in scoring for the home team and finished the game with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
