James Gist renews with Panathinaikos
James Gist renews with Panathinaikos. The 30 years old American penned a two years contract with the Greek Champions. Gist played for Angelico Biella, Lokomotiv Kuban, Partizan, Fenerbahçe Ülker, and Unicaja Málaga before moving to Panathinaikos in 2012.

Panathinaikos beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League twenty first day
Panathinaikos hosted and beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty first day. Easy victory for Panathinaikos with another record for Dimitris Diamantidis. The captain became the all time best in rebounds in the professional league of Greece, surpassing his former teammate Tsartsaris. Lountzis, Bochoridis, Diamantakos and Charalampopoulos gained more experience. Gist was the top scorer of Panathinaikos with 13 points. Diamantakos collected 7 rebounds, Diamantidis served 4 assists. For Korivos Rawle Marshall had 13 points, Andreas Kanonidis had 12 points, Sasa Vasiljevic served 6 assists, Josh Magette served 6 assists and made 3 steals. Guille Rubio and Giorgos Galliotos collected 7 rebounds each. Tim Bowers and Nikos Pappas made 4 turnovers each.

James Gist renews with Panathinaikos. The American came to Panathinaikos in December of 2012 as part of a trade with Andy Panko, and had renewed his contract at the end of that season until the end of this season.

Panathinaikos beat KAOD for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twentieth day. Panathinaikos allowed KAOD to score 24 points in the first quarter but tight its defence and created a two digits difference. With Esteban Batista having 20 points and 8 rebounds, and Dimitris Diamantidis making a double double with 14 points and 10 assists, Panathinaikos won in Drama and now prepares for the game against Real Madrid. For KAOD its captain Thodoris Zaras had 14 points and 5 assists. KAOD had 6/23 three pointers and collected only 18 rebounds in total.

James Gist with many impressive dunaks and 19 points led Panathinaikos to an easy victory against Rethymno Aegean. Gist had 8/8 field goals and 1/2 free throws. Gani Lawal did not miss a shot and scored 8 points. For Panathinaikos Nikos Pappas scored 19 points, Dimitris Diamantidis served 8 assists, and Esteban Batista collected 6 rebounds. Batista also made 5 tunovers, out of 14 team total. Panathinaikos beat PAOK for Greek Cup semi finals
Panathinaikos beat PAOK for Greek Basketball Cup 2014-2015 semi finals. Panathinaikos will play in the Greek Cup Final for eleventh consecutive year! The game was tight and PAOK equalized the score in the last minute but with four seconds remaining Panathinaikos managed to make the winning shot with Vlanto Giankovits. Giankovits scored a great buzzer beater and gave his team the ticket to the Cup Final. For the winners Giankovits and Gist scored 13 points each, Slaughter socred 12 points, Batista 11. Gist and Batista collected 7 rebounds each, while Diamantidis served 7 assists. For PAOK Kevin Langford scored 18 points, Christos Saloustros collected 9 rebounds, Margaritis scored 9 points and collected 8 rebounds. Jake Odume missed the last crucial free throws but had 9 points and 7 rebounds. Panathinaikos will probably keep its crown against Apollon Patras in the final but PAOK and Soulis Markopoulos build a great team step by step.

Panathinaikos beat AEK for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 sixteenth day. AEK started with 7-1 run, Panathinaikos balanced the game but the first half finished with AEK leading the score. AEK was bad in three pointers, 2/14, and Panathinaikos took the lead and created a secure difference. For AEK Pops Mensah-Bonsu made a double double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn. Malik Hairston and Dusan Sakota scored 12 points each and Zisis Sarikopoulos collected 8 rebounds. Carl English had 1/8 three pointers and made 6 turnovers. For Panathinaikos Esteban Batista made a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. James Gist scored 13 points, Antonis Fotsis collected 7 rebounds, Dimitris Diamantidis served 6 assists. AJ Slaughter had 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. DeMarcus Nelson made 5 turnovers out of 19 team turnovers.

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Panionios for Basket League ninth day. In a game with 12.000 attendance, due to 1€ enctrance fee, Panathinaikos did not face any problems against Panionios. All players of Panathinaikos played and scored from Papagiannis to Charalampopoulos and Diamantakos. James Gist scored 19 points, Vlantimir Giankovits had 18 points and 7 rebounds, Janis Blums with 4 three pointers scored 12 points and Dimitris Diamantidis served 5 assists in 22 minutes. For Panionios only Tony Woods had 12 points, Yaroslav Korolev had 8 rebounds and 7 points, Luke Hancock had 8 points and 3 assists.

Panathinaikos beat Korivos Amaliadas for Basket League eighth day. Korivos scored first with Josh Magette but Panathinaikos made a 7-0 run and took early the lead of the game. In the first quarter James Gist had 0/3 field goals but also had 5 rebounds. Panathinaikos starter the second quarter like the first, with a 6-0 run and broadened the difference to 18 points. Darrius Garrett and Julian Wright finished first half with 10 points each, while Guille Rubio and James Gist had 5 rebounds each. Korivos made 9 turnovers in the first half while Panathinaikos had 15 assists and Diamantidis made 5 of them. Korivos improved in the third quarter and allowed Panathinaikos to score only 10 points, lowering the difference to one digit score. In the last quarter Jānis Blūms with his crucial three pointers did not let the home team hope for the victory. For Panathinaikos Blūms had 16 points with 4/7 three pointers, Julian Wright had 12 points and 9 rebounds, James Gist collected 10 rebounds and Dimitris Diamantidis served 8 assists. Panathinaikos beat Rethymno Aegean for Basket League fifth day
Panathinaikos hosted and beat Rethymno Aegean for Basket League fifth day. Rethymno Aegean finished the first quarter leading the score and troubled Panathinaikos until the end. Dimitris Diamantidis had 21 points, 5 assists, 4 steals, 3 rebounds. Esteban Batista finished the game with a double double, 13 points and 12 rebounds, plus five fouls drawn. Double double for Rethymno's Mouhammad Faye with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Vincent Council had 17 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds, Chaisson Allen had 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn. James Gist is returning to good games with 7 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. In his debut with Rethymno Fahro Alihodzic had 6 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound and 1 steal in 15 minutes. Panathinaikos continues undefeated in the League and Rethymno will keep the good game against the champions.

Panathinaikos beat PAOK for Greek League Play Offs semi-finals
Panathinaikos hosted and beat PAOK for Greek League Play Offs semi-finals. PAOK started as good as in the first game and was leading the score in the first half. In the 15th minute PAOK had a lead of 12 points, 20-32. In the first half Panathinaikos had only 1/13 three pointers and was following PAOK. In the third quarter Panathinaikos counter attacked and took the lead in score until the end of the game. In the second half Panathinaikos had 7/13 three pointers. For Panathinaikos James Gist had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals while Dimitris Diamantidis had 17 points, 4 assists and Roko Leni Ukić had 15 points and 5 assists. For PAOK DJ Cooper made a double double with 16 points, 12 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds! Kostas Charalampidis scored 17 points and Mark Payne scored another 15 points. Panathinaikos made two tights victories against PAOK and now the third game will be held in Thessaloniki. If PAOK keeps playing in this tempo and speed we maybe see a defeat for Panathinaikos in the semi-finals after many years of clean sweeps.

Armani Milan beat Panathinaikos for Euroleague Top 16
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan beat Panathinaikos Athens for Euroleague Top 16. Panathinaikos had a bad first half and a very bad second quarter that let Armani Milan finish the first half with 15 points lead in score. With a counter attack mainly in the fourth quarter Panathinaikos lowered the difference but couldn't win the game. Panathinaikos lost and left behind in group standings, only benefit from the game is that Panathinaikos has the points advantage. Zack Wright in his debut with Panathinaikos in Euroleague had 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. James Gist with 21 points and 9 rebounds was the top player of Panathinaikos.

Panathinaikos beat Aries Trikala for Greek League 16th day
Panathinaikos hosted and defeated Aries Trikala for Greek Basket League 16th day. Debut for Panos in this season with Aries Trikala. Panathinaikos dominated first quarter with score 22-8. Aries Trikala had 0/8 three pointers. Aries Trikala improved in the second quarter and balanced the game. In the first half Chris Evans had 10 points and 5 rebounds, while James Gist had 12 points and 5 rebounds. Aries Trikala played better in the third quarter and lowered the difference to 12 points but Panathinaikos finished the game with a good quarter and the final difference was 20 points. Chris Evans made a double double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. For Panathinaikos all twelve players scored with Mavrokefalidis scoring 13 points and James Gist had 14 points and 9 rebounds. Roko Leni Ukić scored 5 points but served 8 assists.

Panathinaikos defeated Laboral Kutxa Vitoria in Spain for Euroleague TOP 16 second day. Laboral Kutxa Vitoria had won five of its
last six home games against Panathinaikos, but the Greens had a 10-6
lead in the all-time series. Panathinaikos had a great first quarter when the Greek team took the lead in score by 7 points. The home team counter attacked for two quarters, lowered the difference in the second and took the lead in the third quarter. The Greek champions made their own counter attack in the last crucial quarter and took a victory where they have lost in the previous round in details. James Gist was impressive but Stephane Lasme was productive with 20 points. Dimitris Diamantidis scored a crucial three pointer and served 9 assists, besides scoring 12 points. For the home team Thomas Heurtel and Tibor Pleiss were the top scorers.

Panathinaikos defeated Rethymno Aegean for Greek League twelfth day
Rethymno Aegean hosted and lost by Panathinaikos for Greek League twelfth day. The first quarter was a game between Justin Hurtt and Kenny Gabriel against Panathinaikos. Hurtt and Gabriel had scored 9 and 7 points respectively, all the points of Rethymno Aegean in the first quarter and half of the team rebounds. For Panathinaikos Antonis Fotsis had 4 points and 6 rebounds in the first quarter, as many as the whole team of Rethymno. After 13 minutes in the game a third player scored for Rethymno, Aggelopoulos, making the score 22-26. With more players scoring for Rethymno the team approached Panathinaikos in the score with 25-26 with a three pointer by Arbet but Panathinaikos replied with two three pointers in a row. Half time finished with score 35-40. Rethymno Aegean managed to follow Panathinaikos since more players scored, besides Hurtt and Gabriel. For Panathinaikos 11 players have scored in the first half, with a bench depth that most teams in Greek League cannot compete. In the third quarter Panathinaikos broaden the difference with great team play and with double rebounds than Rethymno but also double turnovers. Panathinaikos won a game against a good team that didn't have its bench depth. For Panathinaikos Antonis Fotsis collected 11 rebounds but scored only 7 points and missed a double double. James Gist didn't miss a shot with 6/6 two pointers, 1/1 free throw and 1/1 three pointer, while Stephane Lasme missed only one shot, 6/7 two pointers and 2/2 free throws. Dimitris Diamantidis scored 12 points and gave 6 assists. Justin Hurrt scored 19 points and Kenny Gabriel 13 points with 7 rebounds.

Panathinaikos defeated Armani Milano for Euroleague Top 16
Panathinaikos Athens hosted and defeated EA7 Emporio Armani Milan for Euroleague's Top 16 first game. Panathinaikos was improved than the group phase and with 10/21 three pointers and 39 rebounds won the game with a difference. For the winners James Gist scored 12 points and Roko Leni Ukić 11 points. Stephane Lasme collected 13 rebounds and Dimitris Diamantidis served 11 assists. For Armani Milano Gentile scored 14 points and Langford 11 points.

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated PAOK for Greek League eleventh day. Panathinaikos didn't start good the game and PAOK finished the first quarter ahead in score. For Panathinaikos Stephane Lasme and James Gist were the scoring leaders and Dimitris Diamantidis with his 9 assists was the organizer. For PAOK DJ Cooper had 7 assists and 13 points while Michalis Tsairelis scored 15 points and collected 8 rebounds.
