Panathinaikos beat Aris for Basket League twenty third day

Panathinaikos beat Aris for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. Panathinaikos did not face problems against Aris, but the game was between Nikos Pappas (17 points, 7 rebounds) and Aleksandar Vezenkov (11 points and 11 rebounds). Pasalic and Diamantidis served 4 assists each, Giankovits made 3 steals, Drew Naymick made 4 blocks. Aris collected only 3 offensive rebounds and 13 rebounds less than Panathinaikos.

AEK beat Aris for Basket League twenty second day

AEK hosted and beat Aris for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty second day. In a tight game Aris was following AEK for more than thirty minutes but in the end Wilbekin, Mensah-Bonsu and English gave their team a victory and covered the points difference of the first round defeat. For the winners Carl English was the top scorer with 18 points, Malik Hairston scored 16 points. Mensah-Bonsu made a double double with 16 points, 12 fouls drawn (12/17 ft), and 12 rebounds. Wilbekin had 10 points and 6 assists and Athinaiou had 14 points. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov had 23 points and 7 rebounds. Torey Thomas had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists! Drew Naymick had 20 points with 10/13 two pointers, and 6 rebounds.

Aris beat Panionios for Basket League twenty first day

Aris hosted and beat Panionios for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty first day. Panionios had one last chance to avoid relegation but Aris was loose only for one quarter. Aleksandar Vezenkov was once more the leader of Aris with 21 points and 9 rebounds. This time Drew Naymick made a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Muhamed Pašalić had 11 points and 7 assists. Panionios had 11/26 three pointers but also had 12 rebounds less than Aris. Justin Tubbs had 23 points and 5 rebounds, William Coleman had 6 points and 9 rebounds, and Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 9 points and 6 assists. Unfortunately for the Greek Basketball Panionios is only one defeat away from relegation. On the other hand Aris is back on good times and remains third in the league table.

Apollon Patras beat Aris for Basket League sixteenth day

Apollon Patras hosted and beat Aris for Basket League 2014-2015 sixteenth day. The game was tight for three quarters but in the last one Aris' defence collapsed and Apollon Patras scored 30 points. Apollon Patras made only 4 turnovers, a perfect game. For the winners Muhammad El-Amin scored 20 points, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 14 points and 9 rebounds, Kevin Galloway had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Gaios Skordillis with 11 points and 9 rebounds missed a double double. Brandon Penn had 17 points but with 1/6 three pointers. For Aris Muhamed Pašalić and Aleksandar Vezenkov had 18 points each with Vezenkov also having 9 rebounds. Drew Naymick had 8 rebounds and made 5 blocks!  Ogo Adegboye had 7 points with 1/6 three pointers. Another home victory for Apollon Patras, a break for Aris' winning streak.

Aris beat PAOK for Basket League fifteenth day

Aris beat PAOK for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 fifteenth day.  Aris beat PAOK in its home and now is only one point behind. PAOK was leading the score only in the first quarter but Aris took the lead before the half time and kept it until the end. For PAOK Marc Carter had 21 points but with 3/11 three pointers, and Vangelis Margaritis had 11 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Julian Vaughn made a double double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov had a massive game with 29 points, 5/10 three pointers, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and only 1 turnover. Drew Naymick has 10 rebounds and 7 points, Pasalic and Reed has 11 points each. PAOK made only 7 total turnovers but had 8/30 three pointers and 17/26 free throws. Great victory for Aris against its greatest rival.

Aris beat Aries Trikala for Basket League eleventh day

Aris hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League eleventh day. With Aleksandar Vezenkov scoring 12 points in a row Aris took an early lead by 20-11. Aris finished first half with a 14 points difference. Aleksandar Vezenkov had 22 points and Mario Matalon 9 points. With a 15-0 run in the third quarter Aris secured the victory. Aris smashed Aries Trikala by 31 points difference, with all of its players having scored more than two points. Aleksandar Vezenkov finished the game with 24 points (8/10 two pointers, 2/3 three pointers and 2/2 free throws) and 7 rebounds. Drew Naymick had 10 points and 8 rebounds, Nikos Gikas had 5 points and 5 assists. For Aries Trikala Slaven Cupkovic and Mario Matalon had 11 points each, Steve Panos 4 rebounds and Alex Harris 4 assists.

Panathinaikos beat Aris for Basket League tenth day

Panathinaikos hosted and beat Aris for Basket League tenth day. Panathinaikos played without Dimitris Diamantidis and Aris took advantage of it and was leading the score by 14-19 in the first quarter. Nikos Pappas entered the court and with a 10-0 run gave his team the scoring lead. Panathinaikos was keeping the lead from 15 points, 68-53, to 5 points, 74-69, and won the game. For Panathinaikos Nikos Pappas had 23 points, Jānis Blūms had 14 points, Vlantimir Giankovits had 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Esteban Batista made another double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov had 19 points and 6 rebounds, Muhamed Pašalić had 12 points and 6 assists, LeMarcus Reed had 13 points and 8 rebounds, Drew Naymick had 5 points and 9 rebounds.

Panionios beat Aris for Basket League eighth day

Panionios hosted and beat Aris for Basket League eighth day. Luke Hancock had a massive first quarter with 5/5 field goals, 1/1 free throws and with 13 points led Panionios.Panionios kept this small lead in the whole game and beat Aris easier than expected. This was the second win in a row for Panionios, after six defeats, but it was the first against a strong opponent. For the winners Luke Hancock finished the game with 24 points, Yaroslav Korolev had 10 points and 5 rebounds, Tony Woods had 8 points and 6 rebounds, William Coleman had 6 rebounds and Vasilis Xanthopoulos had 4 assists. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov made another double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, Drew Naymick had 11 points and 8 rebounds, Muhamed Pašalić had 8 points and 6 assists. Panionios had 7 turnovers in the whole game and none in the third quarter but also collected only 3 offensive rebounds in total.

Aris beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League fifth day

Aris hosted and beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League fifth day in a game without fans. Aris was leading the game with ease but in the end Nea Kifisia tried to steal the victory with Uros Duvnjak. Aris had 12/27 three pointers but also made 17 turnovers. For the winners Aleksandar Vezenkov had 16 points, Ogo Adegboye had 13 points and 4 assists, Drew Naymick had 10 points and 7 rebounds, Muhamed Pašalić had 9 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. For Nea Kifisia Nikola Pešaković had 16 points and 5 rebounds, Dimitris Mavroeidis had 12 points and 6 rebounds, Panagiotis Kafkis had 12 points and 4 assists, Uros Duvnjak had 13 points and 5 rebounds.

Aris beat KAOD for Basket League fourth day

Aris beat KAOD in Drama for Basket League fourth day. Aris was leading the score in the whole game but KAOD counter attacked in the end and 14 seconds before the end Spyridonidis equalized the score, 72-72. Moourtos missed two free throws but Aleksandar Vezenkov was there to collect the rebound and score two free throws which gave his team the victory. Another great game for KAOD's captain Thodoris Zaras with 26 points and 5 assists. For KAOD Rob Loe added 9 points and 5 rebounds, Michel had 7 points and 7 rebounds, Diamantis Slaftsakis had 6 rebounds, 4 points and 3 assists. For Aris Ogo Adegboye had 17 points, LeMarcus Reed had 9 points and 7 rebounds, Drew Naymick had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Aleksandar Vezenkov made another double double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Aris beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League first day. Panelefsiniakos hosted Aris but could not take advantage of its home in the second half. Panelefsiniakos had 5 players with two digits score but six players without any points. For Aris Aleksandar Vezenkov had 19 points and 8 rebounds while Spyros Mourtos made a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Torey Thomas had 18 points and Drew Naymick had 9 rebounds.

Aris beat Lukoil in friendly game. Lukoil Academic was leading the score with ease for more than three quarters but Aris managed to counter attack in the last quarter and won a tight game.

Aris signed Drew Naymick

Aris signed Drew Naymick. The 29 years old guard played for North Muskegon high school and Michigan State University. Naymick then moved to Poland for Kotwica Kołobrzeg where he was named defensive player of the year. Then he played for Cáceres Ciudad del Baloncesto in Spain and after failing to play with Indiana Pacers or Los Angeles Lakers he played for Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League. He also played for one season in Czech Republic for ČEZ Nymburk.
