Kolossos Rodou signed Slaven Cupkovic


Kolossos Rodou signed Slaven Čupković. That is the fifth season and fifth different team in the Basket League Greece for the 30-year-old Serbian forward. Cupkovic joined Trikala in 2014 and has also played for Aris, Kymi, and more recently Panionios. Cupkovic started this season in Serbia with Sloga Kraljevo where he averaged 18 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.

Kymi signed Slaven Čupković

Kymi signed Slaven Čupković. The newly promoted team of Kymi will be the third Greek team for Čupković. The 28 years old Serbian forward started his career in Mašinac Kraljevo and came to Greece in 2014 for Trikala. With Trikala he averaged 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. One year later Čupković moved to Aris.

Aris signed Slaven Čupković

Aris signed Slaven Čupković. The 27 years old Serbian penned a contract with Aris and will play in Eurocup 2015-2016. Čupković came to Greece one year ago for Aries Trikala and averaged 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

AEK beat Aries Trikala for Basket League twenty third day

AEK hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. AEK honoured Giorgos Amerikanos and debuted the NBA style replicas. This celebration atmosphere did not help the team focus on defence and Aries Trikala finished the first quarter leading the score. Dragan Sakota did not let his players loose and AEK allowed Trikala only 16 points in the second quarter. Mixed debut for coach Kostas Papazoglou with a good first half. Another double double for Pops Mensah-Bonsu with 15 points, 17 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn. Malik Hairston had 21 points and 5 assists, Dusan Sakota had 16 points and 8 assists, Tomas Delininkaitis had 13 points. For Trikala Slaven Cupkovic had 17 points and 7 rebounds, Brian Tracey had 11 points and 8 rebounds, Justin Ingram had 12 points and 7 assists, Steve Panos had 14 points in 17 minutes. A good game with 15 total turnovers, 8 for AEK and 7 for Trikala. Visitors had 4/21 three pointers, while AEK had 12/25.

Kolossos Rodou beat Aries Trikala in Trikala for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty second day. Kolossos Rodou had 16/25 three pointers and 20/33 two pointers. With so high shot accuracy the visitors did not let Aries Trikala any chance to lead the game nor the score. Justin Robinson had 19 points (5/6 3p), Taylor Smith had 14 points (7/9 2p). Christoforos Stefanidis served 5 assists and Dominic Waters served 7 assists. For Aries Trikala Slaven Cupkovic scored 24 points, Bryan Tracey collected 7 rebounds, Justin Ingram served 4 assists and made 4 turnovers. Mike Hall had 8 points (3/5 2p, 0/2 3p) and 4 rebounds in his last game with Trikala, since he had an argue with coach Flevarakis. Kwame Alexander had 14 points and Mario Matalon made 3 steals.

Olympiacos beat Aries Trikala for Basket League eighteenth day

Olympiacos beat Aries Trikala in Trikala for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 eighteenth day. Unfortunately there were no fans to enjoy such a game, due to Triakala's penalty. Vasilis Spanoulis was impressive and Olympiacos was leading the score by 9-30 before the end of the first quarter. Trikala did not abandon the game and with good transition game lowered the difference to one digit at the second and third quarters. Olympiacos replied with massive defence and a 10-1 run in the last quarter secured the victory. For the winners Vasilis Spanoulis had 25 points (5/5 2p, 2/3 3p, 9/9 ft), 8 assists and 6 fouls drawn. Giorgos Printezis had 22 points (6/6 2p), Matt Lojeski had 17 points (4/5 3p), Darden and Hunter collected 5 rebounds each. For Aries Trikala Slaven Cupkovic and Justin Ingram scored 15 points each, Ingram had also 7 assists. Mike Hall had 4 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Kwame Alexander had 11 points and 4 rebounds in his debut with Trikala.

Aries Trikala beat Panionios for Basket League 2014-2015 sixteenth day

Aries Trikala hosted and beat Panionios for Basket League 2014-2015 sixteenth day. In a three pointers game Trikala had 10/23 and Panionios had 10/28 three pointers shots. In his last game with Trikala Kenny Kadji had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Justin Ingram had 11 points and 5 assists, Slaven Cupkovic had 12 points, Alex Harris had 14 points and Steven Panos had 10 points. For Panionios William Coleman had 16 points and 9 rebounds, Yaroslav Korolev had 14 points and Dimitris Verginis had 15 points. A rare double double for Vasilis Xanthopoulos with 10 points and 11 assists in a flawless game without any turnovers. Aries Trikala won a crucial game and Panionios is now facing relegation with less hope.

Korivos Amaliadas beat Aries Trikala for Basket League fifteenth day

Korivos Amaliadas beat Aries Trikala in Amaliada for Basket League 2014-2015 fifteenth day. Korivos took an early lead by 25-7 in the first quarter and did not face problems to beat Aries Trikala. For the winners Rawle Marshall had 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guille Rubio had 17 points but also 10 rebounds and made a double double. Dwayne Davis also made a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Magette had 7 points and 7 assists. For Aries Trikala Slaven Cupkovic had 21 points and 6 rebounds. Besides Cupkovic only Alex Harris had 15 points and the rest players had less than 5 points. Justin Ingram had 7 assists but also had 0/7 field goals and 1/7 three pointers.

Aries Trikala beat Rethymno Aegean for Basket League twelfth day. Aries Trikala with Alex Harris, Justin Ingram and Slaven Čupković won where only Olympiacos has won in this season. Rethymno Aegean was leading the first half but Aries Trikala made an 11-0 run in the third quarter and took the lead of the game. Aries Trikala have to stabilize their performance since they made such great victories but lose in less difficult games. For Rethymno Aegean Giannis Kalampokis had 18 points, Trevis Simpson had 17 points and 7 rebounds, Dejan Kravis had 13 points and 8 rebounds, Fanis Koumpouras had 6 points and 6 assists. Mouhammad Faye made another double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. For the winners Alex Harris had 23 points in 21 minutes, Justin Ingram had 17 points and 6 assists, Slaven Čupković had 13 points and 5 rebounds, Steve Panos had 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Aris hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League eleventh day. With Aleksandar Vezenkov scoring 12 points in a row Aris took an early lead by 20-11. Aris finished first half with a 14 points difference. Aleksandar Vezenkov had 22 points and Mario Matalon 9 points. With a 15-0 run in the third quarter Aris secured the victory. Aris smashed Aries Trikala by 31 points difference, with all of its players having scored more than two points. Aleksandar Vezenkov finished the game with 24 points (8/10 two pointers, 2/3 three pointers and 2/2 free throws) and 7 rebounds. Drew Naymick had 10 points and 8 rebounds, Nikos Gikas had 5 points and 5 assists. For Aries Trikala Slaven Cupkovic and Mario Matalon had 11 points each, Steve Panos 4 rebounds and Alex Harris 4 assists.

Apollon Patras beat Aries Trikala for Basket League seventh day

Apollon Patras hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League seventh day. This was the third victory for Apollon in three games in Patras. Apollon Patras dominated first quarter and finished it with 15 points lead. Aries Trikala improved its offence in the second quarter but Apollon Patras preserved the difference. Brandon Penn finished first half with 15 points while the visitors had 2/11 three pointers. Visitors improved in the second half and started third quarter with a 9-0 run. Three minutes before the end the score was 73-70 but Apollon Patras with a 10-0 run won a game in which the home team never lost the lead in score. For the winners Brandon Penn had 26 points, Kevin Galloway had 17 points, Gaios Skordilis had 8 rebounds, Muhammad El-Amin had 11 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. For Aries Trikala Kenny Kadji had 24 points, 6 rebounds and Slaven Cupkovic had 10 points.

Panelefsiniakos beat Aries Trikala for Basket League sixth day

Aries Trikala hosted Panelefsiniakos for Basket League sixth day. Steve Panos had 7 points and 4 rebounds in the first quarter and helped his team taking the lead. Aries Trikala scored 17 points in the first and second quarter but Panelefsiniakos doubled its score in the second quarter and took the lead of the game. Elijah Johnson had 14 points with 4/5 three pointers and 4 rebounds in the first half while Steve Panos had 10 points and 5 rebounds. The home team won the even quarters and the visitors won the odd quarters. Aries Trikala finished the third quarter with one point lead but in the end Panelefsiniakos celebrated its second victory in a row with its new coach Jimmy Koustenis. For the winners Elijah Johnson had 19 points and 6 rebounds, Aaric Murray had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, Giannis Athanasoulas had 9 points and 6 rebounds and Frank Robinson had 8 points and 3 assists. For Aries Trikala Steve Panos had 16 points and 6 rebounds before being fouled out. Nate Bowie and Slaven Cupkovic had 15 points each and Antonis Spanos had 3 blocks. Nemanja Miljkovic was fouled out without any shot.

Olympiacos with 8/10 field goals in the first quarter created a difference of 14 points that became 20 points in the half time and did not face troubles to beat Aries Trikala. Brian Tracey was in a good day with 20 points, 4/5 two pointers, 2/3 three pointer, 5 rebounds and 4 assists but could not expect more against Olympiacos. Nate Bowie had 11 points and 6 assists, Steve Panos had 8 rebounds, Slaven Cupkovic had 19 points and 6 rebounds. For the winners Hunter and Petway had 12 points each. Vasilis Spanoulis served 6 assists, Dimitris Agravanis collected 7 rebounds, Kostas Sloukas had 3/3 three pointers and 6 assists.

Panathinaikos beat Aries Trikala for Basket League fourth day

Panathinaikos beat Aries Trikala in Trikala for Basket League fourth day. Panathinaikos took the score lead from the first quarter. In the second quarter Panathinaikos created a difference of 15 points, 23-38, but Trikala made a 13-0 run, 36-38 and managed to finish the quarter only six points behind, 42-48. Trikala had 2/11 three pointers in the first half. Steve Panos finished the first half with 11 points and Diamantidis with 12 and 3/6 three pointers. In the second half Trikala attacked and Panathinaikos was not that tight in defense so the home team approached to two points, 54-56. Blums and Fotsis with three pointers secured the game for Panathinaikos that made a 13-3 run and the difference went up to 18 points, 60-78. For Aries Trikala Steve Panos had 14 points, Christos Deligiannis had 11 points and 5 rebounds and Nate Bowie had 9 assists. Mario Matalon had 7 assists and 4 points and Slaven Čupković had 13 points. For Panathinaikos Dimitris Diamantidis had 18 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Janis Blums had 12 points with 4/6 three pointers, Vlantimir Giankovits had 14 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds, Vasilis Charalampopoulos had 7 points and 5 assists. AJ Slaughter had a bad day with 0/5 field goals and 0/2 three pointers.

Aries Trikala signed Slaven Čupković

Aries Trikala signed Slaven Čupković. Čupković won the gold medal in U19 World Championship 2007 with Serbia and in the previous season played for KK Kozuv. He started his career in Serbia for Mašinac Kraljevo and has also played in Poland for Rosa Radom and Romania for Steaua CSM.
