Korivos Amaliadas beat Apollon Patras for Basket League twenty fourth day

Korivos Amaliadas hosted and beat Apollon Patras for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty fourth day. Like in the first round the game had an extra time and again the home team won in the end. Apollon wanted a victory to hope for the play offs but Korivos beat it and covered the 5 points difference of the first round defeat. For the winners Guille Rubio made a double double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Sasa Vasiljevic had 21 points, Tim Bowers had 10 points (2/6 ft) and 5 rebounds, Josh Magette had 5 points, 5 assists and 6 fouls drawn. For Apollon Brandon Penn had 14 points, Galloway had 10 points and 7 assists, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, Gaios Skordilis had 13 points and 7 rebounds, Alex Sigounas collected 9 rebounds.

KAOD beat Apollon Patras for Basket League twenty third day

KAOD beat Apollon in Patras for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. Great victory for KAOD that will probably enter the play offs, while Apollon seems that will only remember the Cup final from this season. Tight game with the home team having 4/26 three pointers and 25/31 free throws and the visitors having 6/23 and 15/17 respectively. For the winners Manolis Papamakarios proved once more his experience with 24 points and 4 steals. Darrel Harris had 11 points (4/5 2p, 3/3 ft) and 8 rebounds, Guy Marc Michel had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and the captain Zaras had 11 points and 4 assists. For Apollon Patras Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 19 points, Brandon Penn collected 8 rebounds, and Kevin Galloway served 4 assists. Nikos Argyropoulos had 0/6 field goals and 7/7 free throws.

Aries Trikala beat Apollon Patras for Basket League twentieth day

Aries Trikala hosted and beat Apollon Patras for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twentieth day. Both teams play better in their home, so Trikala had the advantage. The game was tight in the first half but the home team with an 11-0 run in the end of the third quarter took the lead of the game. One double double for each team. Mike Hall had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 11 points and 11 rebounds. For the winners Justin Ingram had 24 points, Kwame Alexander had 12 points and 9 rebounds, Steve Panos had 12 points with 6/7 shots. For Apollon Brandon Penn had 20 points, Muhammad El-Amin had 21 points, and Nikos Argyropoulos had 11 points.

Kolossos Rodou beat Apollon Patras for Basket League eighteenth day

Kolossos Rodou hosted and beat Apollon Patras for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 eighteenth day. Kolossos celebrated its 100th victory win the League with three free throws by Dominic Waters. The game was bad and tight, but Apollon Patras had a good chance to win it. Brandon Penn missed one free throw, Nikos Argyropoulos missed two free throws and Marios Batis made a foul on Waters while he was attempting a buzzer beater three pointer. Waters was bad in the whole game but with 3/3 free throws gave his team a crucial victory. For the winners Giannoulis Larentzakis made a double double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Jamelle Hagins scored 15 points and Justin Robinson scored 7 points. Dominic Waters served 6 assists, made 5 turnovers, had 1/12 field goals but scored the crucial free throws. For Apollon Patras Toarlyn Fitzpatrick made a double double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Brandon Penn had 15 points, Gaios Skordilis had 11 points, El-Amin had 10 points and Kevin Galloway served 8 assists.

Apollon Patras beat Nea Kifisia for Greek Cup semi finals

Apollon Patras beat Nea Kifisia for Greek Cup semi finals and qualified to the Greek Cup Final for the first time after 1997. Apollon Patras qualified to the final but its opponent is not known, since the game between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos was cancelled upon sports judge's decision. The game started better for Nea Kifisia but Apollon Patras managed to counter attack and be more focused in the last crucial minute. For Apollon Patras Toarly Fitzpatrick scored 25 points with 6/8 three pointers and collected 7 rebounds. Brandon Penn had 11 points but 9 of them where in the third period where he helped his team to counter attack. Kevin Galloway had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. For Nea Kifisia Uros Duvnjak had 17 points, Petros Melissaratos had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Nikos Liakopoulos had 10 points and 6 assists. Nikos Barlos had 16 point against the team that had almost agreed terms a month ago. The referees wrote down in game sheet the bad behaviour of Nea Kifisia's coach Elias Papatheodorou after the final whistle.

KAOD hosted and beat Apollon Patras for Basket League tenth day. Before the game KAOD was in the bottom of the table and both teams did not have a road victory. KAOD was leading the game with a small difference for three quarters. In the last quarter Apollon Patras made an 11-0 run and the score became 68-69 from 68-58. KAOD replied and balanced the partial score of the last quarter and won a crucial game. Apollon Patras continued without an away victory. For KAOD Thodoris Zaras had 21 points, Rob Loe had 18 points and 7 rebounds. Manolis Papamakarios had his great come back in the Greek League with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. For Apollon Patras Muhammad El-Amin had 23 points, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 6 points and 8 rebounds, Brandon Penn had 14 points and 4 rebounds.

Retyhmno Aegean hosted and beat Apollon Patras for Basket League eighth day. In the first quarter Apollon Patras made a 9-0 run from 10-9 to 10-18 and finished it with two points lead, 21-23. Apollon Patras was leading the score in the second and third quarters but in the end Rethymno Aegean won the game leaving the visitors without any road win in the Basket League 2014-2015. For the winners Mouhammad Faye made a double double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Complete performance by Vincent Council who had 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Chaisson Allen had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and Dejan Kravic had 15 points and 8 rebounds. For Apollon Patras Muhammad El-Amin had 27 points with 6/11 three pointers and 5 assists. Apollon Patras hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League seventh day. This was the third victory for Apollon in three games in Patras. Apollon Patras dominated first quarter and finished it with 15 points lead. Aries Trikala improved its offence in the second quarter but Apollon Patras preserved the difference. Brandon Penn finished first half with 15 points while the visitors had 2/11 three pointers. Visitors improved in the second half and started third quarter with a 9-0 run. Three minutes before the end the score was 73-70 but Apollon Patras with a 10-0 run won a game in which the home team never lost the lead in score. For the winners Brandon Penn had 26 points, Kevin Galloway had 17 points, Gaios Skordilis had 8 rebounds, Muhammad El-Amin had 11 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. For Aries Trikala Kenny Kadji had 24 points, 6 rebounds and Slaven Cupkovic had 10 points.

Apollon Patras hosted and beat Kolossos Rodou for Basket League fifth day. Before the game Apollon Patras was in the bottom of the table but in its home the team improves a lot and Kolossos Rodou had a very poor game. Kolossos finished the first half with 21 points, Tsamis had 11 points, and only 1 assist, again Tsamis served it. Mike James had 0/6 shot and 0 points in the first half. Apollon Patras won with ease since the team had 14/31 three pointers. For Apollon Patras Brandon Penn had 19 points, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick made a double double with 15 points, and 11 rebounds, El-Amin had 12 points and Marios Batis had 8 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. For Kolossos Rodou Angelos Tsamis had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and Jamelle Hagins had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Kevin Galloway played 20 minutes but did not score.

Apollon Patras beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League second day

Apollon Patras hosted and defeated Panelefsiniakos for Basket League second day. Apollon Patras made a 9-0 run in the first quarter and took the lead of the game. Brandon Penn finished the first quarter with 10 points! In the second quarter Apolon Patras created an 11 points difference, 33-22, but Panelefsiniakos made its own 6-0 run and one minute before half time the home team was charged with a technical foul. But Apollon Patras finished the first half with a 5-0 run so the half time score was 53-43. In the half time Brandon Penn had 18 points, Kevin Galloway had 12 points and Toarly Fitzpatrick had 10 points! In the second half Tskaleris was charged with a technical foul but his team made a 9-1 run and approached Apollon to 2 points, 54-52. Panelfsiniakos with Robinson was pressing Apollon, 68-67, but Batis with a three pointer made the score of the third quarter 71-67. Panelefsiniakos could not follow Apollon till the end and lost by 9 points, 91-82. For Apollon Patras Penn had 29 points and 6 rebounds, Toarly Fitzpatrick had 17 points and 9 rebounds, Gaios Skordilis had 17 points and Kevin Galloway 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Frank Robinson had 18 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Terone Johnson 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Olympiacos hosted without fans and defeated Apollon Patras for Basket League first day. Apollon Patras could not follow Olympiacos who wanted a great victory with its new coach Milan Tomic to begin the Basket League. The captain Vasilis Spanoulis scored 17 points and served 8 assists. Kostas Sloukas scored 9 points, collected 9 rebounds and served 8 assists approaching a rare triple double. For Apollon Patras Brandon Penn had 22 points and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 9 rebounds and 5 points.

Apollon Patras beat Panionios for Greek Cup

Apollon Patras beat Panionios for Greek Cup. Panionios played with young players and even the team lost the game by 18 points the fans cheered the players for their effort. With the 22 years old Spyros Motsenigos being the most experienced player of Panionios the team managed to lead the score in the first half by 30-29 but in the second half the team of Patras got the expected victory.

Apollon Patras beat Korivos Amaladas for Greek Cup

Apollon Patras hosted and beat Korivos Amaladas for Greek Cup second round third day. Apollon started the game with a 7-0 run but Korivos made its own 6-18 run and finish the first quarter leading the score. Early in the second quarter Apollon got back the lead and kept it until the end. Korivos tried to counter attack in the last quarter and lowered the difference to three points, 52-49, but the home team made a 5-0 run and secured the victory. Apollon Patras had 1/12 three pointers in the first half in a tight game which was the first home game for the team. Apollon Patras had Brandon Penn, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick, Gaios Skordilis and Muhammad El-Amin with two digits points scored while for Korivos Amaliadas Rob Lowery scored 23 points, Josh Magette 9 points and Darrius Garrett 8 points.

Panathinaikos beat Apollon Patras in the first friendly game for both teams. For Panathinaikos the captain Dimitris Diamantidis and the young Giorgos Papagiannis didn't play due to light injuries. For Panathinaikos DeMarcus Nelson was the top scorer with 13 points and Brandon Penn scored 13 points for Apollon Patras. Kevin Galloway scored 12 points, Gaios Skordilis and Antonis Fotsis 11 scored points each.

Apollon Patras signed Brandon Penn

Apollon Patras signed Brandon Penn for two years. The 24 years old American forward graduated from Rider College where he played 4 years in the NCAA. After college Penn played in Japan for the Takamatsu Five Arrows (高松ファイブアローズ) and the he moved to Denmark for the Bakken Bears. With Bakken Bears Peen won the Danish Championship and had 16.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
