Gaios Skordilis renews with Peristeri

Gaios Skordilis renews with Peristeri. The 31-year-old Greek center renewed his contract with Peristeri for two more years. Skordilis joined Peristeri in 2017 when the club played in the A2 League and helped the team get promoted in the Basketleague and participate in the Basketball Champions League of 2019-2020. Skordilis started his career with Aris and has also played for Ikaros Kallitheas, Panathinaikos, Panionios, Apollon Patras, and Faros Keratsiniou. In his last season with Peristeri Skordilis averaged 7.09 points and 3.79 rebounds per game.

AEK beat Apollon Patras for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 nineteenth day. Great road victory for AEK in Patras where Apollon is powerful. The first quarter finished with triple score and the second quarter with double score for AEK. Apollon had a terrible first half in accuracy with 1/14 three pointers and 5/18 two pointers. Apollon finished the first half with the same points (21) that just two players of AEK had scored: Dusan Sakota (10) and Pops Mensah-Bonsu (11). Apollon did not managed to counter attack in the second half and AEK won the game by 41 points! AEK had 15/28 three pointers while Apollon had 2/27! The game was bad and tight, but Apollon Patras had a good chance to win it. Brandon Penn missed one free throw, Nikos Argyropoulos missed two free throws and Marios Batis made a foul on Waters while he was attempting a buzzer beater three pointer. Waters was bad in the whole game but with 3/3 free throws gave his team a crucial victory. For the winners Giannoulis Larentzakis made a double double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Apollon Patras dominated first quarter and finished it with 15 points lead. Aries Trikala improved its offence in the second quarter but Apollon Patras preserved the difference. Apollon Patras hosted and defeated Panelefsiniakos for Basket League second day. Apollon Patras made a 9-0 run in the first quarter and took the lead of the game. Brandon Penn finished the first quarter with 10 points! In the second quarter Apolon Patras created an 11 points difference, 33-22, but Panelefsiniakos made its own 6-0 run and one minute before half time the home team was charged with a technical foul. But Apollon Patras finished the first half with a 5-0 run so the half time score was 53-43. In the half time Brandon Penn had 18 points, Kevin Galloway had 12 points and Toarly Fitzpatrick had 10 points! In the second half Tskaleris was charged with a technical foul but his team made a 9-1 run and approached Apollon to 2 points, 54-52. Panelefsiniakos could not follow Apollon till the end and lost by 9 points, 91-82. Apollon started the game with a 7-0 run but Korivos made its own 6-18 run and finish the first quarter leading the score. Apollon Patras signed Gaios Skordilis. The 26 years old Greek forward played 23 games with Panionios in the previous season and had 2.83 points and 3 rebounds per game.

Panionios signed Skordilis and Kyritsis

Panionios announced two new signings. Gaios Skordilis who was dismissed from Panathinaikos and Alexis Kyritsis. Alexis Kyritsis played last season for Ikaros Kallitheas (now Ikaros Chalkidas) and has previously played for PAOK, Aris, AEK, Ilisiakos, Kavala and Marousi.

Panathinaikos announced today the dismiss of Gaios Skordilis and the addition of Giorgos Apostolidis. Apostolidis is 29 years old, has 2m height and plays as guard. He has played for PAOK, Panellinios, Olympia Larisa, AEL, Trikala and Ilisiakos. Apostolidis was training with Panathinaikos during summer pre-season training.
