Aggelos Tsamis moved to Promitheas Patras

Aggelos Tsamis moved to A2 for Promitheas Patras. Tsamis penned a two years contract and returns to his hometown to help the newly promoted team go to Basket League. Promitheas Patras will play for the first time in the A2 division but has already signed Fanis Koumpouras (also from Patras) and Steve Panos. Tsamis played 20 games with Kolossos Rodou for Basket League 2014-2015 averaging 10.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

PAOK hosted and beat Kolossos Rodou for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty fourth day. The visitors had their Greeks in a good day and besides the first quarter troubled PAOK. For the winners Kevin Langford had 20 points and 7 fouls drawn, Christos Saloustros and Julian Vaughn collected 7 rebounds each, and Jake Odum served 8 assists. Kolossos Rodou beat KAOD in Drama for Basket League twelfth day. Kolossos won its third game in four visits in Drama with Ernest Scott and Aggelos Tsamis having a great game. The visitors created a lead of 27 points in the second quarter but the home team managed to counter attack in the second half. KAOD's counter attack was not enough although the captain Thodoris Zaras made another great game. Zaras finished the game with 22 points and 4 rebounds, Rob Loe had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, Rod Odom had 7 points and 6 rebounds. For the winners Scott made a double double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sotiris Manolopoulos had 14 points with only one missed shot, Aggelos Tsamis had 14 points and 5 rebounds, Jamelle Hagins had 8 rebounds and Dominic Waters served 5 assists.

Dominic Waters debuted in the Greek League and with 8 points gave his team and early lead, 10-8, but PAOK managed to finish the first quarter leading by 5 points, 19-24. The home balanced the game and the first half finished with equal score, 39-39. Dominic Waters and Jake Odum finished the first half with 10 points. The game was tight with Kolossos Rodou leading the score of the third quarter by one points but PAOK winning the game by two points. Kolossos Rodou had only nine players available but all of them scored and the team was leading the game in the first half. In the second half Rethymno Aegean with an 8-0 run started its counter attack until the final victory. Ernest Scott proved from his debut that can help Kolossos replace James. Kolossos Rodou was leading the score without problems until Trikala's coach Flevarakis turned the defence to zone. Jamele Hagins solved the problem with six consecutive points and Kolossos Rodou won by 8 points difference. Before the game Apollon Patras was in the bottom of the table but in its home the team improves a lot and Kolossos Rodou had a very poor game. Kolossos finished the first half with 21 points, Tsamis had 11 points, and only 1 assist, again Tsamis served it. Mike James had 0/6 shot and 0 points in the first half. Apollon Patras won with ease since the team had 14/31 three pointers. Aggelos Tsamis and Mike James of Kolossos Rodou named MVPs of the fourth day. In the victory against Panelefsiniakos Angelos Tsamis scored 25 points, collected 12 rebounds and served 6 assists while Mike James added 22 points and 6 rebounds and both got 34 points in the ranking system.

Rethymno Aegean hosted and defeated Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basket League 15th day. With this victory Rethymno reached Kolossos in the League table. Rethmyno Aegean was massive in the first half with 26 points in each quarter. First quarter finished with 16 and second one with 21 points difference for Rethymno. In the third quarter Kolossos lowered the difference to 18 points but the final difference was 19 points. Rethymno bombed Kolossos with 12/27 three pointers while Kolossos was poor in free throws with 21/40. Rethmyno collected 18 more rebounds than Kolossos, 43 against 25. Those stats show why Rethymno Aegean won easily this crucial game. All twelve players of Rethymno Aegean scored at least two points and ten of them collected at least one rebound. Ikaros Chalkidas started the game much better than Kolossos Rodou and managed to lead the score in the half time by 18 points. Ikaros Chalkidas blacked out in the last quarter and didn't score in the last three minutes, losing a game that was leading for three quarters. Kolossos Rodou hosted and defeated Nea Kifisia for Greek League eighth day. This was the third victory in a row for Kolossos Rodou and the first with the new coach Dimitris Priftis. Bambale Osby and Aggelos Tsamis were the best players for Kolossos against Tony Crocker, Ogo Adegboye and the veteran Nikos Barlos for Nea Kifisia.
