Faros Keratsiniou signed Kostas Kakaroudis

Faros Keratsiniou signed Kostas Kakaroudis. The 33 years old Greek forward will play for Faros in the A2 League, after parting ways with PAOK. Kakaroudis started his career from Astrapi Ilioupolis and has also played for Aris, Thermaikos, KAOD, Ionikos Lamias, Panorama, Rethymno, Olympiada Patron, Ikaroi Serron, and in Romania for Energia Rovinari. In March 2014 he returned to Greece and played for Kolossos Rodou, and later that year he moved to PAOK where he played for two seasons.

PAOK beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League tenth day

PAOK hosted and beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League tenth day. PAOK was low in the League table but the team improves steadily. Nea Kifisia started better the game and was leading the score in the first quarter but PAOK counter attacked and controlled the rest of the game. For PAOK Julian Vaughn had 15 points and 6 rebounds, Kostas Kakaroudis and Apollon Tsochlas had 13 points each, with Kakaroudis and Marc Carter having 4 assists each. JR Bremer had 11 points in 24 minutes. For Nea Kifisia Nikola Pesakovic had 15 points, Dimitris Mavroeidis had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn. Nikos Liakopoulos had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 5 fouls drawn. Great victory for PAOK after the qualification in Eurocup's round of 32.

PAOK beat Ventspils for Eurocup ninth day

PAOK hosted and beat Ventspils for Eurocup 2014-2015 ninth day. With its fifth victory and the first after three consecutive defeats PAOK qualified to Eurocup round of 32. For PAOK Kevin Langford had 15 points, Marc Carter had 13 points and 4 rebounds, Kostas Kakaroudis and Apollon Tsochlas had 10 points each. JR Bremer scored two points. For Ventspils Davis Lajesmeiers had 17 points with 3/3 three pointers, Akselis Vairogs had 10 points and Mire Chatman had 10 points.

Lokomotiv Kuban beat PAOK for Eurocup third round

Lokomotiv Kuban beat PAOK for Eurocup third round. This was the first defeat of PAOK for Eurocup 2014-2015 which left Kuban alone in the first place of the group F. PAOK started with a 8-2 run but that was all. Kuban managed to take the lead and build a secure difference since all its players scored. Maxim Grigoryev and Krunoslav Simon had 15 points each, Derrick Brown had 14 points, Richard Hendrix had 9 rebounds and 6 points. For PAOK only Julian Vaughn with 12 points, Kostas Kakaroudis with 11 points and Christos Saloustros with 8 points and 5 rebounds were a threat for the home team.

PAOK signed Kostas Kakaroudis. Kakaroudis played 6 games with Kolossos Rodou in Basket League Greece 2013-2014 and had 13.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in average. This is the first transfer for PAOK for the season 2014-2015.

Kolossos Rodou hosted and beat Aris for Greek Basket League 26th day. Nontas Papantoniou with a three pointer in the last minute gave his team the victory. Kolossos Rodou finished the season with a victory and Aris will continue to play offs againt Olympiacos. Lefteris Bochoridis continued with good games and was Aris' top scorer with 18 points while Michalis Pelekanos had 17 points and Alexander Vezenkov 16 points. For Kolossos Rodou Kostas Kakaroudis had 14 points and 5 rebounds, Nontas Papantoniou had 12 points with his winning three pointer and Giannis Georgallis had 3 points and 7 rebounds.

Kolossos Rodou hosted and beat Ilisiakos for Greek Basket League 24th day. With that victory Kolossos avoided relegation while pushed Ilisiakos to its relegation. Kolossos Rodou had only 2/20 three pointers but also had 16 rebounds more than Ilisiakos. For the winners Taylor Smith was the best player with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Kostas Kakaroudis and Mladen Pantic were again positive with 13 and 10 points respectively. For Ilisiakos Courtney Pigram had 17 points and Cheikh Mbodj had 12 points.

Panathinaikos beat Kolossos Rodou for Greek League 23rd day

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basket League 23rd day. Kolossos Rodou had only victory against Panathinaikos in 19 games and this was for the play offs. Panathinaikos' coach Fragiskos Alvertis used all available players and the team had its ups and downs. Panathinaikos started with a 20-8 score that Kolossos made 28-24, Panathinaikos made it again 35-24 and the first half finished with score 49-45. In the second half Panathinaikos was better and Kolossos Rodou couldn't follow the rotation so the difference went up to two digits. All twelve players of Panathinaikos played and scored at least two points. Stephane Lasme had 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, Roko Leni Ukić scored 8 points with 4/4 shots and no turnovers, Ramel Curry had 14 points. For Kolossos Rodou Kostas Kakaroudis and Mladen Pantić scored 18 points each, with Kakaroudis having 6 rebounds and Pantić 8 rebounds too. Nontas Papantoniou scored 8 points and missed a unique double double since he also had 10 assists. Taylor Smith had 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Kolossos Rodou hosted and defeated Panionios for Greek Basket League 22nd day. Kolossos and Panionios have played 20 games for Greek League and Panionios counts 5 wins in a row in total of 12 wins. Kolossos Rodou dominated first half when Panionios was poor in field goals (~30%). In the third quarter Panionios only maanged to lower the difference to 9 points but was still bad in field goals. The home team won the fourth quarter and broadened the difference of its victory to 11 points, 75-64. Bryan Hopkins, Mladen Pantić and Kostas Kakaroudis debuted with Kolossos Rodou in the Greek League. Hopkins didn't score, Kakaroudis had 5 points, 2 rebounds and Pantić had 5 points and 2 rebounds. Nea Kifisia beat Kolossos Rodou for Greek League 21st day

Nea Kifisia hosted and defeated Kolossos Rodou for Greek Basket League 21st day. Kolossos won the first round game in Rodos island by three points, but now Kolossos is fighting to avoid relegation while Nea Kifisia is in play offs position. First quarter was balanced but in the second quarter Nea Kifisia created a difference of 9 points. Nea Kifisia had 5/12 three pointers in the first half, while Kolossos Rodou had 2/8. Kolossos Rodou started better in the second half and with a 2-7 run managed to lower the difference but at the end of the third quarter the difference was back to 9 points, 63-54. Again in the last quarter the visitors tried to win the game but Nea Kifisia found solutions and won the game plus covered the difference of the first round game. Top scorers for Nea Kifisia Giannis Psathas and Ogo Adegboye with 14 points each. Giannis Psathas also had 8 rebounds and 5 steals. The veteran Michalis Kakiouzis helped with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Saša Vasiljević didn't score but served 9 assists. For Kolossos Rodou Marko Car had 19 points with 5/5 three pointers, Nontas Papantoniou 12 points and in his debut Kostas Kakaroudis had 12 points. Taylor Smith and Osby Bambale had 9 rebounds each.

Kolossos Rodou signed Kostas Kakaroudis

Kolossos Rodou signed Kostas Kakaroudis. The 30 years old Greek center returns to Greek Basket League after less than a year in Romanian League with CS Energia Rovinari. Kakaroudis started his career in Aris where he won the FIBA EuroCup Challenge Champion. Then he moved to second division A2 for KAOD, Ionikos Lamias, Kavala, Rethymno, Olympiada Patron, Ikaroi Serron, with one year contract in each team. Finally Kakaroudis returned to KAOD while the team was playing in the Greek Basket League.
