AEK resigned Dimitris Mavroeidis

AEK resigned Dimitris Mavroeidis. The 32 years old Greek center will play for a third year in Basket League Greece with AEK. In the previous seasons Mavroeidis played 31 games and averaged 9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Mavroeidis has played in Spain with Bilbao, in Greece for Peristeri, Olympiacos, Marousi, Panionios, and Kifisia.

AEK sign Dimitris Mavroeidis

AEK sign Dimitris Mavroeidis. The 31 years old Greek center penned an one year contract with AEK. Mavroeidis joined AEK in November 2015 and played the whole season with the club. The Greek center was not included in the new season's scheduling by coach Zdovc but since AEK and Mavrokefalidis parted ways the club decided to continue with Mavroeidis.

Eurocup 2015-2016 eight day results

AEK lost by Nizhny but did not lose the points' difference of the third day win. Mavrokefalidis did not play but Mavroeidis had a great game and made a double double, like Berzins and Khvostov did for Nizhny.
Aris beat Unics Kazan again, like the Greek team did in Russia. Aris collected only 23 rebounds, 1 more than Parakhouski and Kaimakoglou together, but did only 6 turnovers! Langford had a lot of pressure with 12 fouls won.
PAOK lost easily by Besiktas in Thessaloniki but beat them in Turkey in over time with a winning shot by William Hatcher.

Mavroeidis is out with a fractured nose

Bad luck for Mavroeidis who will be out of games due to a fractured nose. The Greek player is in top shape leading the index rating and points in Eurocup and in Basket League! Mavroeidis will definitely miss the forthcoming game against Kifisia and his recovery will tell when he will be back.

AEK signed Dimitris Mavroeidis

AEK signed Dimitris Mavroeidis. The 30 years old Greek has a great season start with Kifisia averaging 14.2 points and 10.2 rebounds (First in League) in 5 games (second in league ranking), and he was named MVP of first day. Mavroeidis played for Peristeri, Panionios and Marousi in Greece before moving to Spain for Bilbao. In 2013 he started the season with Olympiacos, but he was released on December due to injuries and since then he was playing for Nea Kifisia. Great acquisition for AEK, since Mavroeidis and Mavrokefalidis lead the Basket League rankings, rebounds and points categories.

Lojeski, Mavroeidis and Kemp named MVPs of Basket League first day

Matt Lojeski, Dimitris Mavroeidis and Maurice Kemp named MVPs of Basket League Greece 2015-2016 first day. 
Lojeski scored 20 points, 5/6 free throws, 3/3 two pointers and 3/5 three pointers, collected 6 rebounds and served 3 assists in 24 minutes.
Mavroeidis scored 14 points (5/6 ft, 3/3 2p, 3/5 3p), collected 6 rebounds and served 3 assists in 24 minutes.
Kemp scored 15 points (1/2 ft, 7/11 2p), collected 8 rebounds, served one assist and made two blocks and one steal in 33 minutes.

KAOD beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League twenty fourth day

KAOD beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty fourth day. Another great victory for KAOD, securing play offs while Nea Kifisia is not the team we liked to watch in the first round. For the winners Manolis Papamakarios scored 16 points with 4 three pointers. Rob Loe had 5 points and 9 rebounds, Guy-Marc Michel made 4 blocks, Rod Odom collected 5 offensive rebounds and 8 in total. For Nea Kifisia Dimitris Mavroeidis had 17 points and 8 rebounds. Nikos Barlos, Xavier Silas and Giannis Psathas collected 7 rebounds each. Nea Kifisia made 19 turnovers, had 7 team assists and 1/14 three pointers.

Rethymno Aegean hosted and beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty second day. Nea Kifisia was leading the game in the first half. The visitors began with an 11-2 run but in the second half Vincent Council and Fanis Koumpouras balanced the score. Rethymno Aegean created a secure difference, 57-47. In the last seconds Nea Kifisia approached to 60-58, but could not steal the victory. For the winners Damian Hollis in his debut was the top scorer with 12 points (9/10 free throws). Faye had 0/5 three pointers but scored 8 points, collected 6 rebounds and served 4 assists. Roeland Schaftenaar collected 6 rebounds, Fanis Koumpouras scored 11 points. Vincent Council scored 12 points, won 7 fouls and made 5 turnovers. For Nea Kifisia Mavroeidis scored 16 points, Nikos Barlos collected 7 rebounds, and Nikos Liakopoulos served 7 assists. Nea Kifisia hosted and beat Aries Trikala for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty first day. Nea Kifisia returned to good games and victories and secured the points advantage against Aries Trikala. Aries Trikala were disappointing in three pointers with just 3/20. For the winners Duvnjak had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Barlos had 13 points, Xavier Silas had 14 points with 4/5 field goals, Mavroeidis had 14 points with 6/9 field goals. Pops Mensah-Bonsu had 21 points and 7 rebounds, Dusan Sakota had 16 points and 6 assists, Malik Hairston had 12 points and 6 assists. Kolosos Rodou beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League nineteenth day. In the first half Mavroeidis had 10 points and 8 rebounds for Nea Kifisia, and Stefanidis had 10 points, Manolopoulos 9 points and Waters had 6 assists for the visitors. Nea Kifisia had 2/10 three pointers in the first half. Kolossos kept the scoring lead in the whole game and in the end expanded the difference to eleven points. Nea Kifisia collected 14 rebounds more but also had 4/19 three pointers, while Kolossos had 12/28 three pointers and 6 turnovers less (17-11). For the winners Dominic Waters made a double double with 15 points and 11 assists. For Kifisia Dimitris Mavroeidis made a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Nea Kifisia hosted and beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 sixteenth day. Panelefsiniakos started better but Nea Kifisia balanced the game and it seemed like an easy victory. In the last quarter with a 9-22 run Panelefsiniakos tried to steal the victory but Markovic made a turnover in the last offence and did not complete it. For Nea Kifisia Cade Davis had 16 points, Dimitris Mavroeidis had 15 points and 5 rebounds, Nikos Liakopoulos collecteed 6 rebounds and Uros Duvnjak served 4 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Giannis Athanasoulas had 16 points and 5 assists, Kurt Looby collected 13 rebounds, Elijah Johnson had 13 points. Nikola Markovic made a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds but made 6 turnovers and had 2/9 field goals.

Olympiacos beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League fifteenth day

Olympiacos hosted and beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League 2014-2015 fifteenth day. Nea Kifisia is the only team that has beaten Olympiacos for Basket League 2014-2015 but in Olympiacos' home the team cannot repeat it. Vasilopoulos returned to the stadium where he had won all. Spanoulis played only 14 minutes, so Kostas Sloukas was the top scorer of his team with 16 points. For another game Dimitris Mavroeidis was the leader of Nea Kifisia with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 fouls drawn. For Nea Kifisia Giannis Psathas had 8 rebounds, Xavier Silas had 14 points and Nikola Pesakovic had 5 assists. Panagiotis Vasilopoulos did not score but played for 21 minutes and collected 6 rebounds. For Olympiacos Matt Lojeski had 10 points, 8 rebounds and Bryant Dunston had 8 points, 8 rebounds.

Dimitris Mavroeidis named MVP of Basket League sixth day

Dimitris Mavroeidis named MVP of Basket League 2014-2015 sixth day. After the delayed completion of the sixth day Mavroeidis was named MVP for his performance against Kolossos Rodou. The 29 years old center scored 34 points, collected 13 rebounds, served 4 assists, made 3 steals in 31 minutes.

PAOK hosted and beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League tenth day. PAOK was low in the League table but the team improves steadily. Nea Kifisia started better the game and was leading the score in the first quarter but PAOK counter attacked and controlled the rest of the game. For PAOK Julian Vaughn had 15 points and 6 rebounds, Kostas Kakaroudis and Apollon Tsochlas had 13 points each, with Kakaroudis and Marc Carter having 4 assists each. JR Bremer had 11 points in 24 minutes. For Nea Kifisia Nikola Pesakovic had 15 points, Dimitris Mavroeidis had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn. Nikos Liakopoulos had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 5 fouls drawn. Great victory for PAOK after the qualification in Eurocup's round of 32.

Rethymno Aegean beat Nea Kifisia for Basket League ninth day. Rethymno Aegean took early the lead with 8-19 and kept it until the end. Nea Kifisia's defence faced problems against Vincent council and Trevis Simpson. Rethymno Aegean made its sixth victory in nine games and have a great season until now. For Nea Kifisia Dimitris Mavroeidis had 16 points and 6 rebounds, Nikola Pešaković had 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, Nikos Liakopoulos, Dimitris Tsaldaris and Michalis Kakiouzis had 8 points each. For Rethymno Aegean Vincent Council made a double double with 22 points and 10 assists!
