Apollon Patras signed Giannis Athanasoulas. The 28 years old Greek forward penned an one year contract. In the previous season Athanasoulas played for Panelefsiniakos averaging 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

Aries Trikala beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League nineteenth day

Aries Trikala beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League nineteenth day. Panelefsiniakos started the game with a 13-2 run but the visitors balanced the game before the second quarter. First half finished with Harris having 12 points and Hall having 13 points and 7 rebounds for the visitors, and Fotis Vasilopoulos having 6 points and 6 assists for the home team. Aries Trikala made only 3 turnovers in the first half. Panelefsiniakos started the second half with 24-8 run but Trikala counter attacked in the last quarter and won the game. Trikala celebrated a great road victory but Panelefsiniakos with three pointers by Avramidis in the last minute lowered the difference and kept the advantage of avoiding relegation. Great game for Mike Hall who made a double double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Alex Harris had 18 points, Justin Ingram had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Athanasoulas, Markovic, and Johnson scored 18 points each. Nikola Markovic made a double double since he collected 17 rebounds, 10 defensive/7 offensive. Fotis Vasilopoulos served 8 assists and Elijah Johnson served 6 assists. A good game with 14 total turnovers, 9 for Panelefsiniakos and 5 for Trikala.

Nea Kifisia hosted and beat Panelefsiniakos for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 sixteenth day. Panelefsiniakos started better but Nea Kifisia balanced the game and it seemed like an easy victory. In the last quarter with a 9-22 run Panelefsiniakos tried to steal the victory but Markovic made a turnover in the last offence and did not complete it. For Nea Kifisia Cade Davis had 16 points, Dimitris Mavroeidis had 15 points and 5 rebounds, Nikos Liakopoulos collecteed 6 rebounds and Uros Duvnjak served 4 assists. For Panelefsiniakos Giannis Athanasoulas had 16 points and 5 assists, Kurt Looby collected 13 rebounds, Elijah Johnson had 13 points. Nikola Markovic made a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds but made 6 turnovers and had 2/9 field goals.

Panelefsiniakos beat KAOD for Basket League ninth day

Panelefsiniakos hosted and beat KAOD for Basket League ninth day. After a balanced first quarter the home team finished the first half with a small lead of five points. Giannis Athanasoulas and Elijah Johnson from Panelefsiniakos and Rod Odom from KAOD finished first half with two digits score. KAOD had 2/10 three pointers in first half, with Rod Odom having 2/2. KAOD could not counter attack in the second half and Panelefsiniakos celebrated a victory after three games. For the winners Elijah Johnson had 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, Giannis Athanasoulas had 15 points and Frank Robinson had 9 points. Nikola Markovic made a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. For KAOD Eric Atkins and Rod Odom had 12 points each, Rob Loe had 8 rebounds and Thodoros Zaras had 4 assists. KAOD had only 3/12 three pointers, 2/2 for Rod Odom and 1/3 for Obie Trotter. Manolis Papamakarios in his debut with KAOD played 18 minutes did not score having 0/4 three pointers, but served 3 assists.

Panelefsiniakos hosted Rethymno Aegean for Basket League seventh day. Rethymno started better the game and took the lead in score which it preserved in the second quarter. Both teams had 3/12 three pointers in the first half. The second half was balanced with each team scoring 22 points in the third and 18 points in the fourth quarter. Rethymno Aegean had 28/48 two points shots and won a game that did not have many three pointers. For Panelefsiniakos Elijah Johnson and Giannis Athanasoulas had 12 points each. Frank Robinson had 11 points and 4 assists. For the winners Vincent Council had 22 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Dejan Kravic made a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Giannis Sinis missed it with 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Aries Trikala hosted Panelefsiniakos for Basket League sixth day. Steve Panos had 7 points and 4 rebounds in the first quarter and helped his team taking the lead. Aries Trikala scored 17 points in the first and second quarter but Panelefsiniakos doubled its score in the second quarter and took the lead of the game. Elijah Johnson had 14 points with 4/5 three pointers and 4 rebounds in the first half while Steve Panos had 10 points and 5 rebounds. The home team won the even quarters and the visitors won the odd quarters. Aries Trikala finished the third quarter with one point lead but in the end Panelefsiniakos celebrated its second victory in a row with its new coach Jimmy Koustenis. For the winners Elijah Johnson had 19 points and 6 rebounds, Aaric Murray had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, Giannis Athanasoulas had 9 points and 6 rebounds and Frank Robinson had 8 points and 3 assists. For Aries Trikala Steve Panos had 16 points and 6 rebounds before being fouled out. Nate Bowie and Slaven Cupkovic had 15 points each and Antonis Spanos had 3 blocks. Nemanja Miljkovic was fouled out without any shot.

Panelefsiniakos hosted and beat AEK for Basket League fifth day. The debut of coach Koustenis brought the first victory for Panelefsiniakos who reached AEK in the League table. In a very tight game Panelefsiniakos with three consecutive three pointers in the third quarter creatd a difference, 55-48, that kept until the end and won the game. Great game by Giannis Athanasoulas with 21 points, 4/4 two pointers and 4/5 three pointers, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Aaric Murray had 13 points and 9 rebounds, Stelios Ioannou had 12 points, Fotis Vasilopoulos had 5 points and 5 assists. For AEK Dusan Sakota had 23 points, Carl English had 11 points and 5 assists, Leonidas Kaselakis had 4 points and 7 rebounds. In his debut Tomas Delininkaitis had 10 points and 4 assists.

Panelefsiniakos signed Giannis Athanasoulas. The Greek forward is 2.02m high and was previously playing for Panionios. Athanasoulas has also played in the Eurocup with AEK. Valuable addition for Panelefsiniakos and another loss for Panionios.

Rethymno Aegean lost by Panionios for Greek Basket League 24th day. In a very tight game the maximum difference reached 7 points and Panionios won by only three points but with this victory secured the third position in the regular season. For Rethymno Aegean Justin Hurtt was the top scorer with19 points. Callistus Eziukwu had 14 points, 6 points and Luka Drča had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kenny Gabriel had 9 rebounds but only 3 points. For the winners Errick McCollum had only 8 points so the top scorer was Giannis Athanasoulas had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Vasilis Simtsak had 9 rebounds, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

Panionios beat PAOK for Greek League 23rd day

Panionios hosted and defeated PAOK for Greek Basket League 23rd day. Panionios had won PAOK in the first round game by 91-100 in Thessaloniki. Panionios was leading the score in the first half and PAOK balanced the game in the second one. In the last minutes Kostas Charalampidis scored a three pointer, Errick McCollum didn't score and the game went to extra time. In the extra time DJ Cooper was leading PAOK but he also was the crucial player that missed the final attack. In a very productive game, where the partial total score of each quarter was more than 35 points, Panionios had more rebounds and less turnovers. The two teams had the same three pointers 10/26 and the same successful field goals 22 with the home team shooting 6 more than PAOK. For Panionios Errick McCollum had 20 points, Vasilis Simtsak had 12 points, 9 rebounds and Giannis Athanasoulas had 6 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. For PAOK Kostas Charalampidis had 26 points, Mark Payne had 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals, Michalis Tsairelis had 12 points and 7 rebounds.
