Karditsa Retains Leonidas Kaselakis Through 2027

Karditsa has announced the extension of its collaboration with veteran forward Leonidas Kaselakis, securing his presence with the team until the 2026-2027 season. This move demonstrates the club's commitment to continuity and stability as it prepares for upcoming challenges.

Player Profile


Leonidas Kaselakis, born on June 1, 1990, in Cholargos, stands at 2.03 meters (6'7"). Primarily a power forward, he also possesses the versatility to play at the center position. Kaselakis brings significant experience from various Greek and international leagues, known for his defensive capabilities, rebounding, and consistent offensive contributions.

Kaselakis joined Karditsa last summer and quickly became an integral part of the team. In the 2023-2024 GBL season, he participated in 18 games, averaging 8.6 points per contest.

Promitheas signed Leonidas Kaselakis


Promitheas signed Leonidas Kaselakis. The 28-year old Greek forward returns to Greece after two years in Kazakhstan with BK Astana. In the previous season, he averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game for the Kazakhi League, and 11.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game for the VTB United League. Kaselakis has also played for PAOK, AEK, Ilysiakos and Nea Kifisia.

Kifisia signed Leonidas Kaselakis

Kifisia signed Leonidas Kaselakis. The 25 years old Greek forward will continue in Basket League Greece with Kifisia, after having played for AEK, PAOK and Ilisiakos. In the previous season Kaselakis played 21 games with AEK averaging 3.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.

Panelefsiniakos beat AEK for Basket League fifth day

Panelefsiniakos hosted and beat AEK for Basket League fifth day. The debut of coach Koustenis brought the first victory for Panelefsiniakos who reached AEK in the League table. In a very tight game Panelefsiniakos with three consecutive three pointers in the third quarter creatd a difference, 55-48, that kept until the end and won the game. Great game by Giannis Athanasoulas with 21 points, 4/4 two pointers and 4/5 three pointers, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Aaric Murray had 13 points and 9 rebounds, Stelios Ioannou had 12 points, Fotis Vasilopoulos had 5 points and 5 assists. For AEK Dusan Sakota had 23 points, Carl English had 11 points and 5 assists, Leonidas Kaselakis had 4 points and 7 rebounds. In his debut Tomas Delininkaitis had 10 points and 4 assists.
Quarters' scores: 20-17, 33-34, 57-53, 81-72.

Olympiacos beat AEK for Basket League fourth day

Olympiacos beat AEK in OAKA for Basket League fourth day.  In the debut of Sfairopoulos with Olympiacos AEK managed to trouble the reds in the first quarters with a 9-4 lead and 15-14 first quarter score. In the second quarter Olympiacos took the lead with Vasilis Spanoulis having 14 points in the first half. The home team counter attacked again in the third quarter but could not follow in the last and Olympiacos won by 19 points. Great game by Vasilis Spanoulis with 14 points and 5 assists and Othello Hunter had 6 points and 7 rebounds. For AEK Dusan Sakota had 15 points, Zisis Sarikopoulos had 7 points and 6 rebounds, Leonidas Kaselakis had 10 points.
