Vassilis Toliopoulos Renews Contract with Aris BC Until 2026

Vassilis Toliopoulos will continue to be a key player for Aris BC, with the club announcing the extension of their cooperation with the 28-year-old international guard until 2026.


Aris Announcement:

"Aris Basketball Club is pleased to announce the renewal of our collaboration with Vassilis Toliopoulos until 2026. The team's captain has signed a new two-year contract, committing to lead our efforts for the continued development of Aris. Toliopoulos has been with our team for the past two years and had previously played for us during the 2018-19 season.

Vassilis Toliopoulos was born on June 15, 1996, and at 1.88 meters tall, he plays as a combo guard. He started his basketball journey in the youth teams of Panionios and has also played for Ikaros Kallitheas, Kolossos Rodou, Olympiacos, AEK, Ionikos Nikaias, PAOK, and Boulazac. His performances with Aris have earned him a spot on the Greek national team, with which he is currently competing for a place in the Olympic Games.

This past season was the best of his career, as he averaged 13.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in the Basket League and 14.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in the BKT EuroCup."

AEK signed Vassilis Toliopoulos

AEK signed Vassilis Toliopoulos. The 23-year-old Greek guard penned a four-year contract with the club. Toliopoulos started his career from Ikaros Kallitheas and after one season moved to Kolossos Rodou. In 2015 Toliopoulos joined Olympiacos until last January when they parted ways and the young guard moved to Aris.

Olympiacos and Vassilis Toliopoulos part ways

Olympiacos and Vassilis Toliopoulos part ways. The 22-year-old Greek guard joined Olympiacos three years ago and he played 5 games for the Basket League 2018-2019. In the previous season, Toliopoulos played 23 games for the domestic league averaging 3.87 points and 1 rebound in almost 10 minutes per game. Toliopoulos is in talks to join Aris since the FIBA transfer ban doesn't apply to free transfers from the domestic league.

Olympiacos signed Vassilis Toliopoulos

Olympiacos signed Vassilis Toliopoulos. The 19 years old Greek play maker was close to Olympiacos two years ago, but did not convince Giorgos Bartzokas and he moved from Panionios to Ikaros Chalkidas. After Ikaros relegated to A2 division the young player moved to Kolossos Rodou where he had a good season. Toliopoulos had a good FIBA U19 World Championship tournament with Greece and the Greek champions offered him a contract. Coach Sferopoulos will keep the player as a member of the current roster and will not offer him on loan.

Kolossos Rodou beat Rethymno Aegean for Basket League twenty third day

Kolossos Rodou hosted and beat Rethymno Aegean for Basket League Greece 2014-2015 twenty third day. Kolossos secured the sixth place with a good game from two hot prospects, Toliopoulos and Larentzakis. Impressive statistic for the winners the nine blocks they made, 4 by Taylor Smith and 3 by Jamelle Hagins. Vasilis Toliopoulos had 15 points with only missed shot, Taylor Smith collected 9 rebounds, Dominic Waters served 8 assists. For Rethymno Damian Hollis scored 13 points, Faye had 7 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn, Roeland Schaftenaar scored 10 points with only two shots missed, and Fanis Koumpouras served 4 assists.

Kolossos Rodou signed Vassilis Toliopoulos

Kolossos Rodou signed Vasilis Toliopoulos for two years. The 18 years old guard played 12 games with Ikaros Chalkidas in the previous season. Toliopoulos started his career in Panionios and is a member of Greece U20 national team.

Ikaros Chalkidas signed Vassilis Toliopoulos

Ikaros Chalkidas made an investment signing the promising young player Vassilis Toliopoulos. Toliopoulos took part in Olympiacos' preparation but Panionios has agreed with the team from Chalkida. Toliopoulos played his first game in the friendly game against Rethymno. The young player signed a four years contract with the team of Ikaros.
