Panionios land Darington Hobson.

Panionios land Darington "Βutta" Hobson. The 30-year-old American guard/forward graduated from the University of New Mexico and was selected with the seventh pick of the second round (37th overall) by the Milwaukee Bucks at the 2010 NBA Draft. Hobson has played for Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA D-League, for Hapoel Migdal Ha'emek in Israel, for Brasília in Brazil, and for Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos in China. Hobson won the 2015 NBA D-League with the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Panionios sign Dejan Kravic

Panionios sign Dejan Kravic. The 27-year-old Serbian forward started the season in Belgium with Excelsior Brussels. In the previous season Kravic played in Greece with Rethymno averaging 9.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Kravic has also played in the Netherlands for Den Bosch.

Panionios signed Nikos Diplaros

Panionios signed Nikos Diplaros. The 20-year-old Greek guard penned a one year contract. Diplaros started his career with Esperos Patras and in 2015 he joined AEK with a 5 years contract. Diplaros was released by the club before playing a single game and joined Aris. In the previous season, Diplaros played in the A2 League on loan to Machites Doxas Pefkon. He is a member of the Greek U20 national team.

Panionios and Clint Steindl part ways


Panionios and Clint Steindl part ways. The 28-year-old Australian forward/guard joined Panionios in September and played 3 games in the Basket League Greece. Steindl averaged 4.67 points (0/6 2p, 3/11 3p) and 1.33 rebounds in 23 minutes per game.

Panionios sign Chris McNealy

Panionios sign Chris McNealy. The 25-year-old American guard graduated from UC Irvine where he played four years college basketball with the UC Irvine Anteaters and averaged 8.94 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. McNealy started his professional career in Austria where he played for Redwell Gunners Oberwart. In his first season, McNealy averaged 13.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. In the previous season, he averaged 16 points and 4.3 rebounds for the domestic league and 15.3 points and 3.8 rebounds for the Eurocup. McNealy replaces Clinton Steindl.

Vangelis Ziagkos is Panionios' new coach

Vangelis Ziagkos is Panionios' new coach. Ziagkos replaces Giorgos Kalafatakis. The 41-year-old Greek coach returns to Panionios after two years. Ziagkos started his coaching career with AEK academies and he was the member of the technical team of AEK during 2008-2011. In 2012 Ziagkos became the head coach of AEK and in two years he promoted the club from B League to Basket League. In November 2014 Ziagkos and AEK parted ways. Ziagkos continued his coaching career with Doxa Lefkadas, Panionios, and Al Riyadhi.

Panionios sign Boris Dallo

Panionios sign Boris Dallo. The 23-year-old French will replace Avry Holmes. Dallo started his career with Poitiers in 2013. He has also played in Serbia for Partizan, in France for Olympique Antibes, and in the NBA D-League with Long Island Nets. Dallo is 195cm high and penned a contract for the current season.

Panionios agreed terms with Jalen Jackson

Panionios agreed terms with Jalen Jackson. The 23-year-old American guard/forward graduated from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In the last searon Jackson played 32 games in the NCAA with the Little Rock Trojans averaging 10 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Panionios sign Tony Woods

Panionios sign Tony Woods. The 27-year-old American center returns to Panionios where he played in 2014 averaging 7 points and 4.9 rebounds. Woods has also played for APOEL in Cyprus, in Romania for CS Energia Rovinari, in Greece for Apollon Patras, Kifisia, and Doxa Lefkadas, and most recently in the Dominican Republic for Soles de Santo Domingo and in Bulgaria for Rilski.
