Giannis Kastritis is the new head coach of Iraklis

Giannis Kastritis is the new head coach of Iraklis. The 37-year-old Greek coach debuted as a head coach in the Basket League with Arkadikos and has also coached Trikala, Kymi, and Aris. Kastritis replaces Mexas who helped Iraklis to get promoted in the Basketleague after eight years.

Trikala lands coach Kostas Mexas

Trikala lands coach Kostas Mexas. The 40 years old Greek coach started his professional career coaching womens teams and worked with Hortiatis, Ampelokipoi, Megas Alexandros and Kastoria. His first job as a head coach for a mens team was with MENT and continued with Iraklis BC. In 2011 Mexas joined KAOD and in 2014 he became their head coach. In 2015 Mexas agreed terms with Apollon Patras and renewed his contract for one more season after achieving to avoid relegation.

Kostas Mexas renews with Apollon Patras. The 39 years old Greek coach replaced Thanasis Papachatzis and the team board is happy with his work. Mexas signed an 1+1 years contract.

Mexas replaces Papachatzis in Apollon Patras

Thanasis Papachatzis was fired from Apollon Patras after only three games (and three defeats) in the Basket League 2015-2016. Kostas Mexas is the new coach of Apollon Patras. Mexas beat Apollon in his last visit in Patras, as KAOD's coach. In the previous season KAOD renewed Mexas' contract, but the team was relegated due to financial problems. In the previous season Papachatzis was fired from Panionios after only two games. This was the first coach change for the Basket League 2015-2016.

Coach Mexas renews with KAOD for one more year

KAOD counts only one victory in five games but the board feels confident with coach Kostas Mexas and renewed his contract for one more year, until the summer of 2016. Mexas signed his first contract as head coach this summer with KAOD but he has been in the team since 2011. KAOD board made a rare move in a League where five coaches have already been fired within first five games.

KAOD signed Dimitris Misiakos. Misiakos will be the assistant coach of Kostas Mexas. The 32 years old coach last year promoted Enosis Iliou in the B division and he is member of the technical crew of the Greek Young Men National Team.

KAOD announced that Kostas Mexas is the new head coach of the team. Mexas was the assistant coach of Nenad Marković and has been in the team since 2011 as the assistant coach of Giorgos Kalafatakis. Before KAOD Mexas worked with Hortiatis, Ampelokipoi, Megas Alexandros and Kastoria women teams, MENT and Iraklis BC.
