Nikos Vetoulas and Kolossos Rodou part ways


Nikos Vetoulas and Kolossos Rodou part ways. The 44-year-old Greek coach parted ways with the club after six games with a 1-5 record. Vetoulas has already agreed terms with Ionikos Nikaias.

Niki Lefkadas signed Ruvanna Campbell

Niki Lefkadas WBC signed Ruvanna Campbell. The 25-year-old American graduated from UIC in 2016 and has played professionally in Italy for Battipaglia, in Israel for Hapoel Petah Tikva, in Switzerland for Helios, and in Australia for Mackay Meteorettes. With Helios Campbell won the Swiss Championship.

Vangelis Ziagos is Rethymno's new coach


Vangelis Ziagos is Rethymno's new coach. The 42-year-old Greek coach started this season in Cyprus as the head coach of APOEL but he parted ways with the club earlier this month. Ziagos started his coaching career with AEK and has also managed Doxa Lefkadas, Panionios, and Al Riyadhi. Ziagos replaced Mykoniatis at Rethymno with the club having a 0-6 record this season.

Giannis Kastritis resigns from Kymi


Giannis Kastritis resigns from Kymi. The 36-year-old Greek coach resigned after the defeat from Promitheas. Kastritis joined Kymi in 2017 and in his first season managed to get Kymi in the playoffs for the first time in the club's history. This season Kymi has a 1-6 record. In 2015 Kastritis became the youngest ever coach of the BasketLeague Greece when he coached Arkadikos and in 2016 he moved to Trikala.

Nikos Oikonomou is Panionios new coach

Nikos Oikonomou is the new coach of Panionios. The 45-year-old Greek coach returns to the club after the season 2016-2017 when he led the team to the promotion from A2 League to BasketLeague. Oikonomou has worked as the head coach of Spata, Ionikos Neas Filadelfias, Ikaroi Serron, Livadia, Ionikos Nikaias, and Apollon Patras but this will be the first time he will coach a team at the top tier league. Oikonomou replaces Fragias who replaced Chougaz who replaced Skourtopoulos.

Stavros Mykoniatis steps down from Rethymno


Mykoniatis steps down from Rethymno. The 47-year-old Greek coach will no longer be the head coach of the team but continues with Rethymno in the scout team. Mykoniatis became the head coach of Rethymno after working 9 years as the assistant coach. Vangelis Ziagkos replaced Mykoniatis.

Panionios released Brandon Wood

Panionios released Brandon Wood. The 29-year-old American guard was released by the club after some negative comments he made about coach Fragias. Wood joined Panionios just two weeks ago and played only one game with the club scoring 5 points.

Kymi signed Reginald Holmes


Kymi signed Reggie Holmes. The 31-year-old American guard graduated from Morgan State and went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft. Holmes started his career in Morocco with AS Salé, and has also played in the NBA D-League with Erie BayHawks, in Poland with Kotwica Kołobrzeg, in Bulgaria with Beroe, in Turkey with Final Gençlik, and in France with Le Mans Sarthe Basket. In the last season, Holmes played in Turkey for Akhisar Belediye where he averaged 18.5 points per game.

Panionios signed Giorgos Papadimitriou. The 25-year-old Greek guard started his career with Filathlitikos in the A2 League and in 2017 he moved to Lavrio. With Filathlitikos Papadimitriou averaged 10.3 points per game and in 13 games with Lavrio for the Basket League 2017-2018, he averaged 1.23 points in almost 4 minutes per game.

Kolossos Rodou and Tyreek Duren parted ways


Kolossos Rodou and Tyreek Duren parted ways. The 27-year-old American guard asked to leave the club for personal reasons as he will return to the US. Duren joined Kolossos in August 2018 and in 5 games for the Basket League Greece he averaged 9.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. In his best game Duren led Kolossos to a home win against Kymi scoring 26 points.

Promitheas signed Jake Odum


Promitheas signed Jake Odum. The 27-year-old American guard returns to Basket League Greece and Champions League Basketball. Odum graduated from Indiana State and after going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft he started his career in Greece with PAOK. Odum has also played in Germany for Medi Bayreuth and s.Oliver Würzburg, in Turkey for Banvit, and more recently in Russia for Nizhny Novgorod. With Nizhny Odum averaged 8.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

Kolossos Rodou signed JayVaughn Pinkston. The 27-year-old American forward replaced Timothy Kempton who parted ways with the club. Pinkston graduated from Villanova and went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. He started his professional career in Italy with Mantovana and in the last season, he played in Poland for Krosno. In 30 games with Krosno Pinkston averaged 18 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.

Rethymno signed Elijah Johnson. The 28-year-old Amerian guard replaces Carlton Guyton who parted ways with the club. Johnson graduated from the University of Kansas and started his career in Poland with Rosa Radom before moving to Greece for Panelefsiniakos. After Greece Johnson moved to Turkey for Pertevniyal and Anadolu Efes and has also played in Croatia for Cibona, in Germany for s.Oliver Würzburg, back to Turkey for Istanbulspor Beylikduzu, and in the previous season he played in Israel for Hapoel Gilboa Galil. With Panelefsiniakos Johnson averaged 10.82 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. With Hapoel Gilboa Galil he averaged 10.25 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1.5 steals per game.

Rethymno signed Aaron Eugene Jones. The 25-year-old American forward graduated from Ole Miss and went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. Jones started his professional career in Germany with Rhein Stars Köln and has also played in Bulgaria for BC Beroe and in Finland for Vilpas Vikings. In June 2018 Jones signed with Lhasa Pure Land of the Chinese League and a month later he signed with Maccabi Rehovot in Israel but parted ways with the club before playing an official game.

Panionios signed Brandon Wood. The 29-year-old American graduated from Michigan State, after having played college basketball for Southern Illinois, Highland CC, and Valparaiso, and went undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft. Wood started his career in Hungary with Alba Fehervar and has also played in Italy for Pallacanestro Trieste, in FYROM for KK Feni Industries, in Lithuania for Lietkabelis, in Switzerland for BBC Monthey, and in G-League with Windy Bulls.

Panionios signed Richard Elmer "Joey" Dorsey. The 35-year-old American center/forward replaces Τaylor Johns. Dorsey graduated from Memphis and was chosen as the 33rd overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. In 2012 Dorsey joined Olympiacos and won the Euroleague. Besides Olympiacos Dorsey has played in the NBA for the Ηοuston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors, in D-League for Rio Grande Valley Vipers, in Spain for Caja Laboral and Barcelona, in Turkey for Royal Halı Gaziantep, Galatasaray and Best Balıkesir.

Fragias started his coaching career with Pagrati and has also worked for Peristeri, Sporting, Ilisiakos, Vyzantinos AO, Olympia Larisas, Ario, AE Lemesou (Cyprus), Dafni, Kolossos Rodou, Keravnos Strovolou (Cyprus), Dnipro Azot Dniprodzerzhynsk (Ukraine), and most recently was the head coach of the Qatar national team.
