Thanksgiving in Greece. Live of athletes overseas can sometimes be lonely but it is Thanksgiving and people share food and wishes.

DJ Cooper has many reasons to be happy. He was named MVP of the eighth day of the Greek Basketball League. After eight days he is first in three pointers, third in assists and fourth in ranking system of the League. But above all he plays for PAOK in Thessaloniki, Greece.
We are all jealous of athletes when they win a game, or because they travel a lot and earn good money. But being an athlete includes changing houses and spend Thanksgiving away from home.
Wish I could be spending Thanksgiving with the fam, but I'm thankful to be doing what I love here overseas

Kenny Gabriel started his season in Greece with Rethymno with three consecutive double doubles. Besides basketball Gabriel is trying to get used to Greek life style and environment, like dealing with mosquitoes.

Gabriel besides basketball seems to enjoy Call of Duty
Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association hosted on its main site an article about Justin Hurtt. The title of the article is "Mr. Hurtt's painting exhibition" since Hurtt loves painting in and out of basketball courts. The American shares with PAOK's Costas Charalambidis the second place of scoring in Greek Basketball League, average 17.7 points per game. He is first in three pointers, 11 scored out of 20 attempted, and fifth in fouls gained. Thanasis Giaples said that Rethymno Aegean was watching Hurtt for more than a year but managed to sign him this season. Giaples mentions the reliable shot and one-to-one skills of Hurtt but what really defers him is his low profile and humble character, which as the coach says is rare for an American player. He wasn't selected in NBA Drafts so he moved to Italy for Pallacanestro Varese, then in Belgium for Mons-Hainaut before he returned to USA and NBA Development League for Iowa Energy. Hurtt admires Lebron James and Kansas City Chiefs. His dream is to become a cover of the basketball magazine "Slam". In his free time Hurtt paints and sketches and his favorite lesson in school was children literature.
