Olympiacos and Perperoglou part ways

Stratos Perperoglou won't continue his career in Greece since the player didn't agree terms with Olympiacos. Perperoglou was a player of Olympiacos for the previous two seasons and before that had played for Panathinaikos, Panionios and Ilisiakos. In this season Perperoglou  played 20 games and had 9 points and 3.65 rebounds in average per game. Perperoglou will probably continue his career in Turkey and Anadolu Efes Spor Kulübü, first time that he will play abroad.

Anadolu Efes lost by Olympiacos for Euroleague Top 16

Anadolu Efes hosted Olympiacos for Euroleague Top 16. Olympiacos had already qualified for the semifinals before the game but didn't want to lose it. Olympiacos had more rebounds, more assists and less turnovers in the first half. Anadolu Efes counter attacked in the third quarter and lowered the difference to two points, 48-50, but Olympiacos handled the game and kept the lead. The home team couldn't made another counter attack in the last quarter and Olympiacos won by 5 points. Both teams were good at three pointers, 10/25 for the home team and 9/20 for Olympiacos. For Anadolu Efes the Greek Kostas Vasileiadis and the ex Olympiacos player Jamon Gordon were the top scorers with 16 points each. For Olympiacos the captain Vasilis Spanoulis had 17 points, 4 assists and Bryant Dunston had 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Panathinaikos defeated Anadolu Efes for Euroleague Top 16

Panathinaikos defeated Anadolu Efes in Istanbul for Euroleague Top 16. With Fragiskos Alvertis debuting as coach Panathinaikos managed to win a very tight game where the score was 60-65 after one extra time. In a game where both teams had Greek coaches the defense was the key. Anadolu Efes seemed to control the game and win in the end but Jonas Mačiulis scored a very crucial three pointer 14 seconds before the end and equalized the score leading the game to extra time. Zoran Planinic with 15 points and Antonis Fotsis with 14 points were the top scorers of their teams. Stephane Lasme made a double double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Olympiacos hosted and beat Anadolu Efes for Euroleague Top 16. Olympiacos had a great game and didn't let Anadolu Efes hope to win. The captain Vasilis Spanoulis was the top scorer of Olympiacos and led his team to a crucial victory. Zoran Planinic has improved with Vangelis Aggelou as coach and with 13 points was the top scorer of his team. Kostas Vasileiadis scored only 4 points.

Panathinaikos hosted and defeated Anadolu Efes for Euroleague Top 16. This was the third victory for Panathinaikos and the third defeat for Anadolu Efes in three games in the Euroleague Top 16. The captain Dimitris Diamantidis was the top scorer of Panathinaikos with 17 points and 9 assists. Stephane Lasme followed with 16 points and 8 rebounds. For Efes Anadolu Dusko Savanovic and Zoran Planinic were the best players.

Vaggelis Aggelou agreed with Efes Anadolu

Vaggelis Aggelou agreed with Efes Anadolu for 2.5 years contract. Aggelou will be the second Greek that will coach Efes Anadolu after Elias Zouros. Aggelou was coaching Aris BC and in his last game with the team he led his team to the cup final after 8 years. Aggelou will play against Panathinaikos and Olympiacos for Euroleague's Top 16. Aggelou is the second Greek coach in the Turkish League (Türkiye 1. Basketbol Ligi) this season, after Dimitis Itoudis of Banvit.
