Eric Michael left Panelefsiniakos for Brindisi

Panelefsiniakos signed Michael Eric on December 4th and he debuted against Korivos Amaliadas helping his team win the game with 19 points and 7 rebounds but the player got an offer from Enel Brindisi and penned the contract. Eric had a special contract term and in Brindisi will replace Cedric Simmons who is injured for the whole season.

Olympiacos released Cedric Simmons

Olympiacos released Cedric Simmons. The 29 years old center could only play in Euroleague with Olympiacos and this season he didn't play at all in three Euroleague games. In the previous season he averaged 3.8 points and 3 rebounds in 22 games in Euroleague and 4.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in the Basket League. Simmons will continue his career in Italy and Euroleague with Dinamo Basket Sassari.

Olympiacos beat Rethymno Aegean for Greek League 19th day

Olympiacos hosted and smashed Rethymno Aegean for Greek Basket League 19th day. After the defeat by Panathinaikos Olympiacos played against a team that does not play tight defense. With 7 players having double digit points Olympiacos reached 105 points with ease. Bryant Dunston with 18 points was the top scorer of Olympiacos and Justin Hurtt with 21 points the top scorer of Rethymno Aegean. Damir Latovic had 20 points and 9 rebounds. Kenny Gabriel had 6 points and 7 rebounds but also an injury in the game. Mantzaris also got injured in the game. With 10/21 three pointers, 10 turnovers and 37 rebounds Olympiacos had a very good game.

Olympiacos defeated Panionios for Greek League thirteenth day

Panionios hosted Olympiacos for Greek Basket League thirteenth day. Olympiacos took the lead with an early 1-10 run and finished the first half ahead in score by 8 points. Spanoulis had 2/2 three pointers in the first quarter. Second quarter was balanced and more productive. First half finished with score 39-48 and Panionios following Olympiacos in score. In the third quarter Olympiacos broadened the difference above 10 points, that kept it until the end. Panionios was bad in three pointers with 4/18 and collected 30 rebounds, while Olympiacos collected 13 rebounds more. For one more game Errick McCollum was the top scorer of Panionios with 19 points and 4 assists but had 2/10 in two pointers. Vasilis Spanoulis scored 26 points and Stratos Perperoglou 11 points. Olympiacos captain had 6/10 three pointers and 6/6 free throws. Stratos Perperoglou, Cedric Simmons and Vangelis Mantzaris collected 8 rebounds each.

Montepaschi Siena loses from Olympiacos for Euroleague fourth day

Montepaschi Siena hosted Olympiacos for Euroleague fourth day. Siena had 3 defeats in the first 3 games and ran an eight -game losing streak from the end of last season, while Olympiacos started with 3 victories. The game took place at Nelson Mandela Forum in Firenze. Olympiacos started with Spanoulis, Law, Lojeski, Printezis and Begić. Euroleague winners had a 11-0 run with 5/5 shots. Siena scored after 3:30 minutes. Cedric Simmons got injured, dislocated shoulde, and missed the rest of the game. Siena was struggling to follow Olympiacos in score and the first half finished with 13 points difference. In the last minutes Brent Petway made an unsportsmanlike foul that helped Siena lower the difference to 5 points, but Olympiacos scored the final three pointer and the game ended 62-70. Fourth victory in a row for Olympiacos, fourth defeat in a row for Siena. For Olympiacos no player scored more than 9 points but all players scored, except Simmons who was injured.
