Olympiacos signed Patric Young

Olympiacos signed Patric Young. The 23 years old American forward penned a two years contract with the Greek champions. Young played four years for Florida Gators and then went undrafted in the NBA 2014 Draft. He joined New Orleans Pelicans for the 2014 NBA Summer League, signed a contract but released without having played for the team. Young started his professional career in Turkey for the Galatasaray where he averaged 10.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

AEK signed Malik Hairston

AEK signed Malik Hairston. The 27 years old American guard send his signed contract and will play for AEK BC until the end of this season. Hairston graduated from Oregon University where he played for Oregon Ducks and was drafted with the 18th pick in the second round (48th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. He was then signed by the San Antonio Spurs, where he played 62 games but only 8 minutes per game on average, so he moved to Italy for Montepaschi Siena and then for Emporio Armani Milano. In the previous season he played for Galatasary Liv in Turkey and Euroleague.

Olympiacos signed Pops Mensah-Bonsu

Olympiacos signed Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Nana Papa Yaw Dwene "Pops" Mensah-Bonsu, with two years' contract. Mensa-Bonsu has played for George Washington, Dallas Mavericks, Fort Worth Flyers, Benetton Treviso, Granada, Joventut Badalona, Austin Toros, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, CSKA Moscow, New Orleans Hornets, ASVEL,  Beşiktaş Milangaz, CB Sevilla, Emporio Armani Milano and Galatasaray Liv. Mensa-Bonsu had a fight with Mirza Begić and Giorgos Printezis in a Euroleague game between Galatasaray Liv Hospital and Olympiacos, but now they be in the same team.

Olympiacos defeated Galatasaray for Euroleague

Olympiacos hosted and defeated Galatasaray for Euroleague. After first game when Olympiacos won in Abdi İpekçi Arena, the Euroleague champions defeated Galatasaray for second time. Before the game four players of Olympiacos had a doping control. Galatasaray had very bad accuracy in two and three pointers, only 32% in field goals and 14% in three pointers, no luck with such poor shots. Olympiacos finished the game with only 4 attempted free throws but 20 assists and 40 rebounds. Highlight of the match, but a negative one, the fight between Mirza Begić and Mensa Bonsu one minute before the end. This was the 17th consecutive win for Olympiacos in this season, a new record for the Greek team.

Dopping control for 4 Olympiacos players

ESKAN, the Greek anti-doping authority, took sample from four Olympiacos' players before the game against Galatasaray for Euroleague.  The four players are Kostas Sloukas, Vangelis Mantzaris, Stratos Perperoglou and Mirza Begić.

Galatasaray lost by Olympiacos for Euroleague second day

Galatasaray hosted and lost by Olympiacos Piraeus in Abdi İpekçi Arena for the second day of Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Galatasaray's guard Henry Domercant was playing for Olympiacos in 2006-2007. Olympiacos was ahead in the score in the whole game and with Spanoulis, Lojeski and Petway scoring 44 points together, Jawai with 22 points were fighting alone.
Quarters' scores: 11-22, 30-42, 57-69, 67-78.
