PAOK signed Nontas Papantoniou on a monthly contract. The 28-year-old Greek guard played for Faros Larisas in the previous season averaging 11.81 points, 3.88 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. 

Peristeri and Michalis Polytarchou part ways

Peristeri and Michalis Polytarchou part ways. The 35-year-old Greek guard was the second top scorer of the club in the previous season helping them to gain promotion. Polytarchou averaged 10.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

Panionios waived Jamie Skeen

Panionios waived Jamie Skeen. The 30-year-old American forward signed with Panionios a month ago but the club decided to waive him before the start of the season and replace him with Taylor Johns

Panionios signed Τaylor Johns. The 24-year-old American forward graduated from Riverside and went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. Johns has played in Slovenia for Rogaska Crystal, in Israel for Ηapoel Migdal, and in Mexico for Pioneros de Los Mochis. With Pioneros de Los Mochis he averaged 19.9 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Johns replaces Jamie Skeen who was waived by the club.

Kymi signed Manny Ubilla

Kymi signed Emmanuel "Manny" Ubilla. The 32-year-old American-Puerto Rican guard graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson and went undrafted in the 2008 NBA Draft. Ubilla started his career in Czech Republic with Nový Jičín and has also played in Hungary for Kaposvári and ZTE, in Puerto Rico for Piratas de Quebradillas, in Netherlands for Den Helder Kings, in Finland for Tapiolan Honka, and in Latvia for Ventspils. In the last season Ubilla won the Latvian championship with Ventsipls, and he has the assists leader of the Hungarian League for 2016 and 2017, and of the Dutch League for 2014.

Peristeri signed Ed Daniel. The 28-year-old American forward parted ways with Rethymno and penned a two-month contract with Peristeri to cover Jeff Allen who was injured and will stay out of action for at least a month.

Rethymno signed Steve Burtt Jr

Rethymno signed Steve Burtt Junior. The 34-year-old American-Ukrainian guard graduated from Iona and went undrafted in the 2006 NBA Draft. In his 13th season as a professional player Burtt has played in many countries and that would be his fourth Greek team after Olympiada Patron (2006), Apollon Patras (2017), and Faros Larisas (2018).

Peristeri signed Ben Bentil


Peristeri signed Ben Bentil. The 23-year-old Ghanaian forward graduated from Providence and was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 51st overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Bentil was released by the Celtics and started his professional career in NBA D-League with Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Bentil played in China with a short contract for Xinjiang Flying Tigers before returning to Fort Wayne Mad Ants. In 2017 Bentil signed a ten-days contract with the Dallas Mavericks becoming the first Ghanaian player in the NBA. Bentil started the last season in France for Champagne Châlons-Reims Basket where he averaged 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He finished the season in Spain for Bilbao Basket where he averaged 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. Bentil replaces Igor Kesar who parted ways with the team.

Kastoria signed Aliaksandr Pustahvar. The 33-year-old Belorussian forward has played professionally in Russia for Avtodor, Dynamo Moscow, Novosybirsk, Sojuz Zaretchny and BC Nizhny Novgorod, in Ukraine for Polit-Halychyna, in Romania for Targu Mures and Medias, and in Belarus for Tsmoki-Minsk. In the last two seasons Pustahvar played in Hungary for Falco-Vulcano where he averaged 7.3 points and 3 rebounds per game.

Kymi and Kelsey Barlow part ways. The 27-year-old American guard joined Kymi a month ago but parted ways with the club before playing an official game.

Peristeri lands Giannis Agravanis. The 19-year-old Greek forward will play for Peristeri on loan from AEK for the next season. Agravanis started his career with Doukas and signed with AEK in 2017. He is a member of the Greece U20 national team.

Kymi signed Nikos Stylianou. The 29-year-old Greek Cypriot forward graduated from West Texas A&M University and went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft. In the previous season Stylianou played for Faros Larisas in Greece and finished the season in Lithuania for Alytus Dzukija. Stylianou has also played in Cyrpus for Keravnos Strovolou and AEK Larnaca, in Greece for Rethymno, Kavala, OFI and Koroivos Amaliadas. He is a member of the national team of Cyprus.

Suggs started his career with Erie BayHawks and has also played for Raptors 905, and in France with Élan Chalon, in Spain with Manresa, and in Italy with Brindisi. Panionios signed E. J. Singler. The 28-year-old American forward graduated from Oregon and went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft. Singler started his professional career with Idaho Stampede and in 2014 he moved to Estonia for Kalev. In 2015 Singler returned to the USA and Ιdaho Stampede and in the next season, he moved to Raptors 905 where he won the NBA D-League championship. In the previous season, Singler played in Germany for Oliver Wurzburg.

Lavrio signed Giannis Gkavasiadis. The 24-year-old Greek forward penned a three-year contract. Gkavasiadis started his career with Terpsitheas Glyfadas and has also played for AO Neon Argyroupolis and Filathlitikos. In the last season Gkavasiadis averaged 11.6 points in 30 games with Filathlitikos.

Nikos Diplaros renews with Panionios

Nikos Diplaros renews with Panionios. The 21-year-old Greek guard penned a new one year contract with the team of Nea Smyrni. Diplaros started his career with Esperos Patras and joined AEK in June 2015 before being released three months later to join Aris. Diplaros played only one season with Aris and moved on loan to Machites Doxas Pefkon in the next season. In November 2017 Diplaros penned an one year contract with Panionios where he averaged 3.3 points and 1.09 assists per game for the Basket League Greece 2018. 

Kymi signed Giorgos Tsiaras

Kymi signed Giorgos Tsiaras. The 36-year-old Greek forward started his professional career with AEK in 2001 and has also played for Aris, Trikala, Olympia Larissas, PAOK, Panionios, Ikaros Kallitheas, and Apollon Patras in Greece. Tsiaras has also played abroad, in Czech Republic for ČEZ Nymburk, in Romania for CS Gaz Metan Mediaş, and in Spain for Club Melilla Baloncesto. In the last two years Tsiaras played for Apollon Patras, with the last season playing in A2 League Greece. 

Chris Chougaz is Panionios new coach

Chris Chougaz is Panionios new coach. The 50-year-old Greek Egyptian returns to Panionios for the third time as coach. Chougaz has played in Panionios in 1992 and he became the club's assistant coach in 2005. In January 2015 Chougaz replaced Vangelis Alexandris and became the head coach of the club until the end of the season. Chougaz now replaces Thanasis Skourtopoulos who had agreed terms with the club but parted ways after the club changed ownership. Besides Panionios Chougaz has worked as head coach for Kavala, Iraklis, OFI BC, Apollon Limassol, Österreich Oberwart Gunners, and USK Prag.

PAOK signed Darrius Garrett


PAOK signed Darrius Garrett. The 28-year-old American-Rwandan forward/center graduated from Richmond and went undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft. Garrett started his professional career in Switzerland with Fribourg Olympic and has also played in Greece with Nea Kifisia and Koroivos Amaliadas, in Turkey for Afyonkarahisar Belediyespor, in Poland for Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski, in Lebanon with Hoops Club, in Venezuela with Marinos de Anzoátegui, and in Uruguay with Club Malvín and Montevideo, and in Bulgaria with Beroe. In Bulgaria, Garrett averaged 11.5 points and 10.2 rebounds. Garrett has played 34 games in total for the Basket League Greece averaging 7.5 points and 5.44 rebounds. He is a member of the Rwanda national basketball team.

Rethymno signed Keith Clanton

Rethymno signed Keith Clanton. The 28-year-old American center graduated from the University of Central Florida and went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft. Clanton started his professional career in Poland with Anwil and continued in South Korea with Seoul Samsung Thunders. He has also played in Puerto Rico with Leones de Ponce, in Israel for Hapoel Beer Sheva, in Bulgaria with Lukoil Academic and Levski Sofia, and in Greece with PAOK. Clanton signed with PAOK in March 2016 and renewed his contract for one more season. In the last season, Clanton won the Bulgarian Championship.
