Doxa Lefkadas sign David Doblas

Doxa Lefkadas sign David Doblas. The 35 years old Spanish forward started his career with Melilla in 2000 and has played for several teams in Spain, Rosalía de Castro, Granada, Ciudad de Algeciras, Menorca, and San Sebastián Gipuzkoa BC. In the previous season with San Sebastián Gipuzkoa Doblas averaged 8.2 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. This will be the first time Doblas will play abroad, although he tried his chances in the 2009 NBA Summer League with the Toronto Raptors.

Doxa Lefkadas sign Melsahn Basabe. The 24 years old American forward graduated from Iowa, where he played four years college basketball with Iowa Hawkeyes. Basabe went undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft and started his professional career in Finland with Helsinki Seagulls, where he averaged 19.4 points and 12 rebounds per game. In the previous season Basabe played in Belgium and Eurocup with Antwerp Giants. In 13 games for the Belgian League Basabe averaged 16.5 points and 7.2 rebounds.

Vasilis Mouratos on loan to Psyhiko

Vasilis Mouratos on loan to Psyhiko. The 19 years old Greek guard will continue his career in A2 League with Psyhiko on loan from Olympiacos. Mouratos signed a 5 years contract with Olympiacos in 2014 as a hot prospect since he is a member of all Greek youth national teams, from U16 to U20.

Nick Pavlos on loan to Pagrati

Nick Pavlos will play on loan to Pagrati. The young Greek-American player will continue to play in the A2 Basket League on loan from AEK. Pavlos penned a two years contract with AEK in 2015 and played on loan with Doukas in the previous season. With Doukas, in 23 games he averaged 6.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.

Arkadikos sign Dovydas Redikas

Arkadikos sign Dovydas Redikas. The 23 years old Lithuanian guard started his career with Akademija Vilnius in 2008. Redikas has played for Perlas Vilnius, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys, Barons/LDz, BK Jēkabpils, Vytis Šakiai, and Pieno žvaigdžės Pasvalys. In the previous season he played 22 games with Pieno žvaigdžės Pasvalys averaging 4.3 points per game. Redikas was a member of all Lithuanian youth national teams, and he has won gold medals with all teams, European with U16, U18 and U20 teams, and world with U19 team. Redikas is the second young Lithuanian that plays in A2 League Greece, after Vaidas Kariniauskas who signed with Kymi a year ago.

Faros sign Stefan Djordjević

Faros Keratsiniou sign Stefan Djordjević. The 27 years old Serbian center will play in Greek for fourth year in a row. Djordjević started his professional career with Unia Tarnów in Poland, and has also played for KK Ulcinj and KK Teodo Tivat in Montenegro, Mega Leks and KK Smederevo 1953 in Serbia. In 2013 he signed with OFI Crete. With OFI Djordjević averaged 19.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, finishing second in points and seventh in rebounds for the A2 League 2013-2014. In the 2014-2014 season Djordjević played for Arkadikos. In the previous season Djordjević played for Doukas.

Doxa Lefkadas sign Shannon Scott. The 23 years old American guard graduated from the Ohio State University, where he played college basketball for four seasons. In his senior season, Scott averaged 8.5 points, 5.9 assists, 1.7 steals and 30.5 minutes in 35 games, all starts, ranking 17th in the nation in assists per game. Scott went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft and joined the San Antonio Spurs for the 2015 NBA Summer League. After playing two preseason games with the Toronto Raptors Scott signed with Raptors 905 of the NBA D-League. With Raptors 905 he averaged 9.2 points, 5.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.

Lavrio released Bruce Beckford. The 21 years old American forward penned an 1+1 years contract with the Greek team in August 2016, but he left the team without having played any official game. Tyren Johnson replaced Beckford.

Lavrio sign Tyren Johnson. The 28 years old American forward graduated from the University of Louisiana of Lafayette, where he played college basketball for the Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns. Johnson went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft and started his professional career in Belgium with Okapi Aalstar. After a year in Belgium Johnson played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA D-League. In the next two seasons Johnson played in France, the first season with Champagne Châlons-Reims Basket and the second with Hyères-Toulon Var Basket. In the previous season he returned the Belgium and Okapi Aalstar, where he averaged 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

Faros Keratsiniou sign Fotis Vasilopoulos. The 30 years old Greek guard had agreed terms with Psyhiko but the two sides parted ways and the player joined Faros. Vasilopoulos started his professional career with Panionios and has also played for Chalkida, AEK, Dafni, Pagrati, Panelefsiniakos and Ethnikos Piraeus. With Pagrati Vasilopoulos finished first in assists and fourth in points for the A2 League 2013-2014 season.

Lavrio sign Christoforos Stefanidis. The 26 years old Greek guard penned an one year contract with Lavrio and continues in Basket League. Stefanidis has played for Palaio Faliro, Marousi, Kavala, Kolossos Rodou and Arkadikos.

Arkadikos signed Efthimis Tsakaleris. The 27 years old Greek forward penned an one year contract with Arkadikos. Tsakaleris started his career from Anagennisi Flogas and has also played for Panellinios, PAOK, Aris, Panelefsiniakos and Rethymno in Greece, and KB Bashkimi in Kosovo.

Doxa Lefkadas sign Dezmine Wells. The 24 years old American forward/guard became the first American player in the history of Doxa Lefkadas. Wells played college basketball for the Xavier Musketeers and Maryland Terrapins. After went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft Wells penned a short contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but he started his professional career in the NBA D-League with the Oklahoma City Blue. He didn't finish the season with the Oklahoma City Blue since he suffered a season-ending injury in March 2016. In 24 games with the Oklahoma City Blue Wells averaged 12.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.

Giannis Diamantakos is Arkadikos' new coach. The Greek coach was announced by the club officially today. Diamantakos started his coaching career from Agrinio BC and has also worked for the Syria Womens national team and ICIM Arad. In the previous season Diamantakos was the head coach of CS Energia Târgu-Jiu in Romania.

Doxa Lefkadas sign Tony Woods*. The 26 years old American center joined the newly promoted team of Lefkada and will continue to play basketball in Greece. Woods signed with Kifisia in 2013 after a season that revived his career, averaging 6.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 26 games, he moved to Panionios. In August 2015 Woods joined Apollon Patras, and was the third top scorer of his team, averaging 8.54 points per game.

*Doxa Lefkadas canceled the contract offer, due to Woods not passing his medical tests (knee problem).

Doxa Lefkadas sign Justin Robinson. The 28 years old British guard will continue to play professional basketball in Greece with the newly promoted team of Lefkada. Robinson started his professional career with Marousi and has also played for Kolossos Rodou and Trikala. In the previous season Robinson was the second top scorer of Trikala, averaging 12.33 points per game.

Fotis Takianos continues with Doxa Lefkadas. The Greek coach will continue with Doxa Lefkadas, as the assistant coach of Charis Markopoulos. Takianos was the head coach of OFI BC for three years and became the head coach of Doxa Lefkadas in October 2015 when the coach Ziagkos left the team.

Diplaros on loan to Machites Doxas Pefkon

Diplaros moves on loan to Machites Doxas Pefkon. Aris announced that Nikos Diplaros will play on loan to the Machites Doxas Pefkon (A2 division), for the upcoming season. Diplaros started his career from Esperos Patras and a year ago he penned a 5 years contract with AEK. AEK and Diplaros parted ways a month later with the young player moving to Aris. Diplaros is a member of the Greece U20 national team.

Machites Doxa Pefkon sign Karamo Jawara. The 25 years old Norwegian forward graduated from North Carolina Central, and has played professionally in Romania with U Banca Transilvania Cluj and in Greece with Apollon Patras.

Korivos sign Alexandros Spyridonidis

Korivos Amaliadas sign Alexandros Spyridonidis. The 21 years old Greek guard started his career with Ilisiakos in 2012. Spyridonidis has also played for KAOD and Kifisia in the Basket League Greece, and he was a member of the Greece U16, U18 and U20 national teams.

Promitheas sign Yannick Franke

Promitheas Patron sign Yannick Ayrton Franke*. The 20 years old Dutch guard started his professional career with Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden. In 2013 Franke moved to Challenge Sports Rotterdam and in his second year he became the youngest scoring champion in the history of the Dutch DBL, averaging 19.6 points per game. In the next season Franke moved to Donar Groningen, which was his last team in the Netherlands as in the next season he moved to Finland for Bisons Loimaa. With Bisons Loimaa Franke averaged 15.7 points, 5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Franke was a member of the Netherlands National Basketball team that participated in the Eurobasket 2017 Qualifications, averaging 9.8 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist per game in the tournament.

*The two sides parted ways in the process of penning the contract, due to increased demands by the player's agent.

Doxa Lefkadas agreed terms with Charis Markopoulos

Doxa Lefkadas agreed terms with Charis Markopoulos. The Greek coach will lead the newly promoted team of Lefkada, like he successfully did with Korivos Amaliadas in 2014. Markopoulos has worked in the technical crew of PAOK, Aris, and Iraklis and became the head coach of a team in 2014 with Korivos Amaliadas. Since he managed to keep Korivos in the Basket League Markopoulos renewed his contract with the team for another season and also managed to keep the team in the top tier. After two successful season Korivos and Markopoulos parted ways earlier this summer.

Trikala sign Mike Caffey

Trikala sign Mike Caffey. The 23 years old American guard graduated from Long Beach State University. In his senior year with the LBSU Caffey averaged 16.2 points per game. Caffey started his professional career in Hungary with Jaszbereny, where he averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Cholargos sign Nikos Angelopoulos. The 32 years old Greek forward will continue in A2 League, where in the previous season he averaged 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds with Faros Keratsiniou. Angelopoulos has also played for Korivos Amaliadas, Rethymno, Kavala, Panionios, Aigaleo and Ilisiakos.

Psyhiko sign Magoulas and Iordanou

Psyhiko sign Petros Magoulas and Christos Iordanou. The two 18 years old Greeks were members of Panathinaikos U18 team that won the Greek U18 championship in the previous season.

Trikala sign Oleksandr Lypovyy

Trikala sign Oleksandr Lypovyy. The 25 years old Ukrainian guard is currently playing with the national team of Ukraine for the Eurobasket 2017 qualification phase. Lypovyy started his career in Ukraine with BC Kyiv and has also played for BC Donetsk and Budivelnyk. Lypovyy has played in Serbia for Crvena Zvezda, in Georgia for VITA Tbilisi, and in Hungary for Szolnoki Olaj. In the previous season Lypovyy played in Ukraine for Dynamo Kyiv, averaging 14.9 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Aris sign Victor Sanikidze

Aris sign Victor Sanikidze. The 30 years old Georgian forward penned an one year contract with Aris. Sanikidze was selected with the 42nd pick of the 2004 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, but his draft rights were traded the same day to the San Antonio Spurs for a 2005 second-round pick and cash considerations. Sanikidze started his professional career in France with Dijon.  After three seasons with Dijon Sanikidze moved to Spain for Estudiantes. After missing a season due to an injury he moved to Finland for Tartu Rock and a year later he moved to Italy for Virtus Bologna, and later for Montepaschi Siena. In 2013 Sanikidze returned to Spain for CAI Zaragoza and a year later he moved to Russia for Unics Kazan. In the previous season Sanikidze played in Turkey for TED Ankara Kolejliler.

Panathinaikos sign Demetris Nichols

Panathinaikos sign Demetris Nichols. The 32 years old American forward penned an one year contract. Nichols graduated from Syracuse and was taken in the second round (53rd overall) by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2007 NBA Draft. Nichols started his career with Cleveland Cavaliers, but moved to the NBA D-League for Iowa Energy. He returned to the NBA for the Chicago Bulls and after another contract with Iowa Energy he returned to the NBA for the New York Knicks. In 2009 Nichols moved to France for BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, where he also played for JA Vichy Basket and Cholet Basket. In 2012 he moved to the Dominican Republic for Metros de Santiago. After another contract in the NBA D-League with Sioux Falls Skyforce Nichols moved to Russia for Krasnye Krylia. In 2014 Nichols moved to CSKA Moscow where he played in two Euroleague Final Fours and won one Euroleague Championship in the previous season.

Ukić has played for Barcelona and Tau Cerámica in Spain, for Fenerbahçe Ülker in Turkey, for Lottomatica Roma in Italy, for Cedevita Zagreb in Croatia, for Pallacanestro Varese and Pallacanestro Cantùnin Italy, for Panathinaikos in Greece, and has also played with Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA.
